I left a voice mail message and John called me back within the hour. He helped me review different products on his website so I could decide on the one I wanted. He quoted the price accurately including installation and gave me a one-hour window for the same day so that I would not miss any mail deliveries. He arrived on time and brought everything he needed to complete the job. I was very pleased with his professionalism and expertise. I would recommend him to anyone. The mailbox looks great and is the sturdiest one I have ever had. Over 21 years, this is the eighth mailbox I have had to replace due to vandalism and distracted driving habits.

I found John to be very professional and personable. I would definitely recommend him to others. His website displays a large variety of mailboxes that he keeps in stock, but he can special order any mailbox that you want. He went above an beyond expectations. Bottom line, call John first before you order a mailbox via online searches. I'm very pleased with my new mailbox.

John is the best mailbox installer in South Florida, the only mailbox vendor that returned my phone call and e-mails and actually showed up. Do no try to install a mailbox on your own, it is far more complicated than it looks. I would recommend John for all mailbox jobs big and small.

John is on top of his business. He responds and acts fast to jobs. The work was done as soon as the mailbox I wanted was shipped. He offers high quality custom mailboxes, beyond your department home stores. If you're looking for an above average mailbox, he's perfect. Our mailbox looks very nice! It required custom house number plates to be made and he came back on his own and installed them as promised about a week later. One thing to note, is he will also install a mailbox that you don't purchase through him. We are happy with our purchase, as it will be there for a very long time

Couldn't of asked for a better experience!!!! After looking at mailbox choices online, I called and spoke to the owner. Paid for the mailbox and installation of $100 (same price as local handymen) and mailbox was installed within 2 days. I just love it. The mailbox itself is a little more expensive than what you would find at a retail hardware store, but it looks so much better. There was a pricing mistake online in my favor. He honored it and gave me the Angies List discount. He even toped off the area with mulch he brought. If you are considering purchasing a mailbox from this company, do it!!! It is well worth it.

John did a great job on the new mailbox.. He provided quick service and excellent craftsmanship. I highly recommend him to anyone needing or wanting to install a new mailbox.

I e-mailed John via Angie's List and he immediately responded. The mailbox I wanted had to be ordered, but I was not in a rush and it arrived about a week later. We scheduled an install date and time and he came out to install the mailbox. I had an old basketball cement stump that I wanted removed and he got his jackhammer out and removed it. Next, he got rid of the cement of the old mailbox and then started working on the hole for the new mailbox since we wanted it in a new location. John was a professional throughout the entire process. Since I got his name via Angie's List, he provided brass address numbers free, which is $25 saving! The mailbox was installed and it is solid. What I liked about John was his thoroughness with the install and total professionalism. He finished by putting wood chips around the mailbox and he wiped it down with a wax cleaner to make it shine. The final cost included $35 for removal of the old basketball stump, which needed a jackhammer to remove! The mailboxes available vary in price and we got a pretty basic one, but I like it now since it has a magnetic closure. This mailbox is very sturdy. The install service fee of $100 is well worth it since I had no idea all the materials and equipment needed to install a mailbox. Well worth it! Thank you John!

Went well. Took a little longer than I expected but they provided a temporary box while the removed mine for repair. No problems since, would use them again.

It was great. They were very good. They gave us options and they did exactly what they said they were going to. In fact, when they finished installing it, it looked even better that we expected.

My HOA had cited me and I was under a time limit to replace my mailbox. He promised to come out in time to keep fines from being levied and he kept his promise. He did a very neat and tidy job. He was very efficient and completed the job quickly. If anyone needs a mailbox installed, he is the guy to call.

A great service provider

They placed the mailbox my neighbor destroyed with a new one. It involved removing a bougainvillea, also. They arrived as scheduled, did the work, cleaned up and left. It looks great and we are very pleased with this company.

I contacted Mr. Wessel on 7/1/13. We made an appointment to meet on the next day. He looked at my mailbox (the door would never remain closed and cracks were in the wood). We also discovered the mailbox was cracked in the concrete post. In looking for a new mailbox, Mr. Wessel and I went online so I could look at displays from his shop of different types of mailboxes. I was amazed to view varying types of great looking (beautiful) mailboxes I could choose from. I chose the mailbox I wanted and placed an order with Mr. Wessel. He explained to me the mailbox would arrive in approximately 2-3 weeks. While waiting for the new mailbox, he customarily places a mailbox in place of the old one, so the customer could continue to receive mail while waiting for the new one. Two weeks later, Mr. Wessel called me to tell me the mailbox had arrived. I informed him he could come the next day to install it. The mailbox is beautiful! I was greatly pleased with all service provided by Excellent Mailbox.

After 20 years, our mailbox post finally rotted through and broke in half. This is one of those situations where you have to act fast because the mail carrier won't leave mail at a house with no mailbox! We searched online for "mailbox installation, Broward County" and only one entry came up: Excellent Mailbox. Our lucky day! John Wessel came right out to assess the situation and while his installations start at a reasonable $100, the base of our old post was entwined in thick, Live Oak tree roots and would require extra effort to extract the old and install the new. Our cost was a very reasonable, all-inclusive $250. John has a nice selection of mailboxes and posts which you can choose from, or you can custom order and provide your own. We got our new mailbox and post through John - a tasteful upgrade to what we had been living with for 20 years. John needed special tools to dig out our root-bound post, so had to return the next morning, and was back, as promised promptly at 8:00am. He completed the whole job by noon, just before the day's mail delivery so we only missed one day of mail service. John is well versed in the Postal Code mailbox regulations for distance from the street, height of the box, display of the address numbers, etc. and takes care to make sure you are in compliance. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable - a pleasure to work with and an amazing find. He cleaned up his work area so our "curb appeal" is a little nicer now, thanks to John. He does mailbox replacement for individuals and for HOAs in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties and his prices for the service are well worth every penny.
