carpet installation

Description of Work: Installed new carpet in 3 bedrooms, office, hall and stairs. I had used this company in the past in some rentals. This time, however, after the workers installed the carpet they wer suppose to come back in a day or two and move some furniture back and get the balance. They didn't come back. Within a day after carpet was installed II was getting calls and faxes from the company saying if I didn't pay they were putting a lein on my house. I called them and the secretary would not let me speak with the owner(whom I had done business with before). I never said I was not paying. I was waiting for the workers to come back. The Company would not talk with me, just kept saying they were going to put lein on house. Of course, I paid them. Would NEVER use them again. I don't know what happened to the owner to react like this. Also, a year later, my carpet was buckling and needing to be restreached. I did not use them.

+ -1 moreBill the owner of the Carpet Mill Connection was kind enough to accommodate us with a special meeting under unusual circumstances to pick out carpet. He was very knowledgeable about what type of carpet we needed for a rental property. He did not try to oversell us and his price was reasonable. We went to the store on another day to complete the details. Bill told us he could put in the order and have the carpet delivered and installed in no time. Since we were in a big rush to get the job done, we took a chance and looked at the carpet they had on site. We found a one that was the right color and grade. This selection actually came in under the original estimate. The old carpet was removed and taken away. The new carpet was installed quickly, properly and on time without a major mess. We were very happy with the professional and friendly service we received.
Description of Work: New carpet was needed for three bedrooms of a rental property. The Carpet Mill Connection was contacted for an appointment to submit a bid. A particular carpet was suggested and an estimate was given. The final selection was made at the Carpet Mill Connection site which came in under the original bid. The old carpet was removed. New carpet was installed.
