Terrific servcie, they are right on time, even the inspector is happy with what they did. They are fair in price, professional and I would definitely use them again.

Matt is a great guy who does great work. He's been dealing with plumbing jobs at my home for about 10 years now: I would never use anybody else. I trust his judgment on what needs to be done and how urgent it is (or isn't), and I know he won't fleece me! I recommend him so highly.

Need water heater replacement. Left a message on Angie's list. No answer. Called. Got a nice call back. We discussed some options. Was supposed to get back to me with a price on one of them in 3 days. Nothing. Waited a week and called. Left voice mail. 4 days later no response. No more

Noted septic tank appeared full and near to overflowing and allowed me to avoid a costly and messy emergency septic tank drainage. Gave me tips on installing toilets in future as well so they would not leak.

He showed up at the appointed time, ended up using the leak detection equipment to discover the outside leak - under the pool deck! He came up with a plan to add a different path of outside pipe to eliminate the need for the leaking pipe. His helper showed up at 6:30 the next day and started digging. They finished by noon. He had also put on a new water turn off valve. All of this he did for a little over $1100. He gave us a senior discount and veteran's discount. I felt blessed that we chose him.

Everything would be an A. I would use them again.

As always, Matt was on time, efficient, offered lots of tips, and, even gave me a discount without asking! (Being a repeat customer helps). This gentleman is a sole proprietor and believes in giving quality, reasonably priced service. Matt keeps photo records of his work for reference-I was impressed! Only plumbing tech I want touching my house-I know I can depend on Matt to do the job correct the first time. He's a busy guy, so don't wait for the season to come to do things.

Mr. Hunter arrived promptly at the designated time, assessed what had to be done, and provided excellent service. Where the old dishwasher came out was very tight. He was very careful and was able to get the new dishwasher into the tight space. He took time to show how the new dishwasher worked and tested it before leaving. He went above and beyond. Mr. Hunter is not only an experienced, efficient plumber, he is a very nice person. I highly recommend Matt Hunter Plumbing for your plumbing needs.

We called Matt on Monday morning for services when both of our toilets were blocked up and sewage was coming up in both showers. We explained the problem to the woman who answered the phone, who turned out to be Matt's wife, and she said she would track him down and get back to us to see when he could be available. She called back shortly thereafter and said the earliest Matt could get there was Wednesday morning as a result of other jobs he was working on. That was okay for us because we had to be out of town for a couple of days and would not be needing our toilets. We scheduled the service for Wednesday morning. Matt showed up within 15 minutes of when he said he would be there (after having called us and telling us he was running a little late) and within minutes of finding the cleanout on the outside of the house, asked us to come out and see that the cleanout pipe was in fact severed and probably had been for some time. After working with it for awhile, he informed us that because the pipe was broken, there were many roots from surrounding large plants growing in the pipe which blocked the flow of materials through the pipes. Matt was able to clean out the pipe so that we had indoor plumbing again and he rescheduled with us for the next day to return and replace the cleanout T. Cost of this job for both days was about $550. We had also had a leaky disposal and he said he could replace that for us when he returned to replace the cleanout T. Cost of this job (including the new disposal was about $300. We appreciated the fact that Matt kept us informed about everything that he found as he did his repairs. We believe his charges were reasonable and fair and will definitely call him in the future should we have the need.

He showed up on time and provided an estimate we set a date and he came back with the water heater at the exact time he was supposed to. Everything went smooth.

We found the home we recently purchased had a gutter downspout drainage issue that flooded our front porch. During heavy downpours water would come within a couple of inches of entering the home. Matt Hunter responded the same day to my initial call and was out the next day to review the problem and provide an estimate. He was very clear that there was some evaluation that needed to be done and, depending on what he found, gave me best case & worst case estimates. After considering our options we called Matt back to schedule him to do the work. On the day the work was to be done, Matt and an assistant showed up a few minutes early. Matt then methodically checked the drainage problem and quickly found a blockage in an underground pipe. The blockage was quickly cleared and Matt offered to charge for nothing more that a discounted service call. We didn't have to wait long to "test" the fix as the next two days we had very heavy rains further verified the blockage was the problem with not water backing up whatsoever. We were very impressed with Matt's ability to analyze the problem and provide, in hindsight, the perfect solution. He was more than fair with his pricing and we were elated, particularly after the first plumber we called wanted $275 just to come out and "run a camera into the pipe" and the second plumber reviewed things and gave us an estimate to basically redo the plumbing that was already in place. We're ecstatic we called Matt as the third time was the charm. If we need a plumber in the future, we're confident we only need to make one call to Matt Hunter.

Great service for a very fair price. He gave me an estimate on repair cost and options with the repair. He explained to me the pros and cons with each of the options. I felt he was honest and working for me, not to just make a quick buck. The work was done quick, professional and clean. He was careful to not make a mess. He is definitely who I will go to if I ever have another plumbing need.

He was so nice and reasonable. He came with his son and they both did awesome! We had 2 drains that we needed removed. He has been out to our house for two different projects and I would highly recommend and would use again!

Matt arrived as agreed, explained possible causes for the blockage and then fixed the problem. He also found the main drain cleanout (which nobody else had found). I thought that hornets had created the blockage in the toilet vent since we found one every few days in the bathroom; I was wrong. Paper in the pipe created the blockage. Matt said that the hornets were probably in the exhaust fan vent. He offered to go back on the roof and spray the fan vent. He did and said many hornets flew out the vent and the rest were probably dead or dying. Kudos to him since the exhaust fan vent was not a plumbing matter. Matt and his helper were professional, he explained the work he had done. The price was fair for the job and I will call Matt Hunter Plumbing again if the need arises (although I hope it doesn't).

The pipes cleared up for about 6 weeks, then after Christmas, with all the extra laundry and dishwashing they backed up again. Matt was very helpful over the phone and my husband was able to clear them himself. This is an old house that is due to be torn down so the problem may be under the house and we are only looking to keep things working until we rebuild.

Matt determined that the hot water heater was badly corroded and leaking. Replaced hot water heat & added missing expansion tank all in one day! No problems since.

He worked very hard to make sure the blockage was cleared. During our initial contact he stated that the cost of $165.00 would cover 1 1/2 hours worth of work/time. He was here at least 2 hours and did not charge us any additional fees. Excellent workmanship and professionalism. We would definitely recommend Matt and use his services again.

I used Matt Hunter to help resolve a variety of plumbing issues at an old house (built around 1960) after I purchased it. Matt was very thorough in diagnosing what needed to be done, and he always gave me options for how to proceed. He never tried to up-sell me, and he was respectful of the fact that I was working on a budget. He even called me after hours or on the weekend to check on how things were going at the house -- he really went above and beyond. I would recommend Matt to anyone who needs a skilled, local plumber who will give your plumbing needs personal attention.
