They installed my system June/July 2021, we started having problems in August/September. Plumber was out multiple times then suggested it was the septic. Called Martin Septic. They came and said failing drain field. Being less than two years, it's warrantied. No, they said. FOG was present so therefore they would not fix under warranty. FOG is not avoidable and my filter was clean. They pumped and gave bacteria but still say it's our fault the drain field is failing. In two months? Seriously? This is a pattern with this company. I am up to 19 other people who say Martin septic told them the same thing.

We had them come back 3 times because there was septic tank water coming up from our shower, each time they charged us a pretty penny for 8 minutes of their time. And each time they didn't fixe the problem, in the end they told me I need a plumber. I ended up fixing it myself in 20 minutes, very simple problem, shows how "professional" they are. Would not recommend Martin Septic.

Called to schedule for someone to come out and look at the septic tank because the lid was missing and there was a hole in the yard. The receptionist asked if I wanted a quote for a new septic tank, and I just asked to find a fix for the hole in the yard from the missing lid. I did not meet or see anyone visit the house. I received an email a week later with a $4500 estimate for a new septic tank and no other information was provided.

Crew arrived as expected and immediately started work. It was completed quickly without issues.

Martin's was prompt, professional and costs were comparable to others we received estimates from.

We were experiencing a slow drain in the shower. We checked the drain and couldn't see anything obvious stopping the water from going down. We called a plumber and explained the problem, and he felt it was probably a septic tank problem and recommended Martin Septic Service. We called Martin's and they could not come that day but said they would be out the next day. They did come out and uncovered the tanks (there are 2 plastic in-ground tanks for our system), pumped them out and cleaned a filter. They recommended we clean this filter annually ourselves. They also recommended an enzyme, which they sell, to be used monthly to keep the system operating properly regarding the bacteria.

Worked efficiently and completed job no damage to property.

Please get more that one quote and opinion when dealing with septic

After looking on AngiesList for someone to complete the services required, we read the reviews on Martins . As well they offered a $25 coupon presentable to driver for discount. The young lady at the office was so polite and courteous. I had a mquestion that she was unsure of, she took the time to ask and came back with a resolution. She made the process very easy and allowed me to pre pay over the phone . Driver was prompt and respectful. completed the job and meet all my expectations.

This job needed to be done quickly and he came out and did a good job.

He was on time and very nice. He knew his job and was very honest. I will definitely use them again.

Septic tank was emptied and filter cleaned. Technician was able and willing to answer my questions.

My wife was home, asleep as she keeps weird hours. She never even knew they were there and gone. I had arranged service by phone from work.

Daniel arrived on time and was extremely helpful. He encountered a broken concrete cover over the septic tank filter. From the look of the cover and the very dirty filter it appears that the cover had never been removed before. I was his last customer of the day so it was getting late, so he returned in the evening with a replacement cover. I will use this company again and will recommend it to others.

I was quite impressed with this company. I needed my septic tank pumped. They were the only company that I called that could come out on the day that I called them. The technician that performed the work was very meticulous. Although the tank lid was under concrete curbing that I recently had installed around my flower bed he was very careful not to break the curbing. When the work was done you couldn't tell that he had to do a fair amount of digging to gain access to the tank. I highly recommend this company.

They completed the work within two days, at the same time contending with the summer rains, so am pleased, at least at this point, and feel the problem has been resolved.

I initially called this company on recommendation of my realtor for an inspection of the septic system on a foreclosure I was purchasing. We didn't realize the pump for the well wasn't working in order for an inspection to be completed the1st time Martin Septic came out. I also did not realize that the home had been under contract to another company and I would have to use them. There was initially a lot of confusion dealing with the bank, so things got found out bit by bit. Turns out I only had a few days left on the other company's contract and when it expired, I called Martin to come out again. The pump was supposed to have been replaced at that time, but apparently it hadn't been done yet. Martin had waived the fee for the 1st time, but the 2nd time, they said they would have to charge for a service call which was totally understandable to me. They told me they would refund it if I went under contract with them. I had already made up my mind to go with them because of the contacts I already had with them and the good info they had already given me.They inspected my septic system and informed me that the lid needed to be replaced. Also the alarm was set very low on the ground and subject to corrosion, as well as the plastic cover for the alarm light needed to be replaced. Their estimate was the same amount as the company I didn't go with (that the house had been under contract with), the difference was, Martin told me about the alarm box being set too close to the ground,. They said it was okay, but would cause me to possibly have to replace it that much sooner down the road at a cost of $800. Raising it up was included in their quote so I wasn't paying any extra to raise it. They could have just ignored it and made $800 when I would have to call them in to fix it later. I will say it did take quite some time (about 4-5 weeks) to get the full job done as we had to wait on the plastic cover for the alarm. Not a big deal..didn't affect me using the system. Also, they only charged me 1/2 the amount initially and I was not charged for the rest until a few weeks after that last part was installed.I would highly recommend this company.

It went very well...the person who came out really took the time to explain things to my husband. The girl on the phone was even very knowledgable and personable.

This company charged us $3,950.00 over the estimate, without saying a word to us. They estimated 5 loads of sand and say they used 15. Even though I spoke with a supervisor on a daily basis while the work was being done, not a word was mentioned about additional costs. They just sent the bill in the mail. The supervisor said he would taper the drain field and hook up the lift station (that an electrician was NOT needed) and neither was done. They left us with a drain field that is appox. 3 1/2 ft. high and can't be mowed because the sides are so steep. They left us with a full septic tank and a non-functioning lift station. It took 4 days to get an electrician scheduled (had they not promised to take care of this, we would have had one ready), but they promised us on 2 different occasions that they would take care of it. Every time I tried to contact the owner she was out of town and when I did speak with her she did not care what her supervisors promised. They also did not put the drain field in the area described on the permit. They said it was because of an Oak tree, but the Oak tree was there when they drew it up. They knew the Oak tree roots were the reason for this entire new system. They also tested, and told us our sand was not acceptable at the time of the estimate....yet this was their excuse for the additional sand. This company has an open ended proposal contract that allows them to charge for additional sand. We questioned them about this as we could not afford any surprises. We were told they have been in business a very long time and their estimates were pretty accurate. We are reasonable people and understand they could be off by a few loads of sand, but 10 loads off is pretty incompetent, (and not to mention this during the work, is unthinkable ). They threatened to put a lien and foreclose on our house, so we had no choice but to pay them. I highly recommend people don't sign an open ended proposal with this company and anything they tell you.....get it in writing ! I will be working with the Consumer Bureau and local elected officials to have these open ended contracts made illegal. These open ended contracts allow companies to low-ball estimates to get the work, then charge outrageous sums on the final bill. Then if you don't pay the additional charges they can take your house (it's insane) !

They did a good job. It is working fine and I am very happy. They were responsive and they cleaned up.
