They were very nice and professional, and moved some furniture from upstairs to downstairs for me. I would recommend them to anyone looking for moving services in the Sarasota area. Their owner Frank was very accommodating and very easy to work with.
Description of Work: C & F Movers moved me from Sarasota, FL to New York, NY. I had some expensive art and furniture that they transported and packed exceptionally well.

+ -1 moreMovers were friendly and fast and very careful, not one item was damaged and this was a large 3 bedroom home move. They were on time when they said they would arrive and worked very hard the entire day to get us moved across the state in one day. My family has used them a couple times in the past and they have always done a great job. I would highly Recommend them.

+ -1 moreThe first team of 2 arrived on time and were very friendly and like-able. However after 6 hours of very slow progress (see above) the owner sent 4 more movers and another truck to finish the job. The back-up team was 4x as fast as the original two movers. I feel if Cand F would have sent them originally the whole job would have been done in 6 hours. But, the back up team was working so fast to finish the job that they did a very poor job of assembling the beds (out of alignment and loose) and the mirrors to the dresser. My main complaint is that rather than paying $600 at $95/hour, it cost me $1,200 - double. I do commend the owner for giving me names of local repair companies. But to make matters worse the owner promised to have his partner call me with information about how to determine a movers' insurer, but I never heard back from them. I would not recommend them.
Description of Work: Moved my household from a 10x30 storage unit 10 miles to my new home. Don't trust a per hour quote. They were very slow. What others thought should take 6 hours took 12 hours. The first team of 2 movers slowly removed items one at a time from the storage, rather than loading a push cart. They took plenty of breaks and moved very slowly. When reinforcements arrived after I complained to the owner that it was taking too long, even they were surprised of how little was accomplished.

Description of Work: Moved our household goods from Hamden CT to Venice FL. Company was very easy and flexible to work with. We were given a firm quote based on our inventory and the final payment was exactly as quoted. We were not able to be in CT when the company came to pick up our load and they were fine with that as long as we had someone there as our representative. The driver and assistant were very patient and flexible with an awkward parking/loading arrangement in CT. Once the truck was loaded they headed right to FL and planned a drop off sooner than we expected. Company was flexible with our timing and waited until we were ready to have the load delivered a few hours later than they had planned. All movers were friendly, professional and offered to help move, rearrange, etc. We would highly recommend this company. The move was a much more pleasant experience than we had anticipated.
