Description of Work: A stray dog we sheltered had ticks and our house and other dogs became infested. We first hired a very well known, highly rated exterminating firm who charged us $650 and the ticks actually multiplied! Gardens Pest Control told us that we DID NOT need to take everything out of our closets and run them through a dryer like we were forced to do under contract by the other exterminator. Gardens Pest is very up to date on pests. The owner told us that Revolution and Advantix does not work on dogs because Florida brown dog ticks have become next generation, super ticks. He hinted that NEXGARD works and sold us 2 aerosol spray cans ($40)to use around our moldings. (1 time; 1 time two weeks later.)IT WORKED! Gardens Pest Control was recommended by two neighbors, and we're all very happy. The other exterminating company gave us a refund, but nothing will rid the two weeks it took to bag up our house and live like gypsies. By the way, the homeless tick-infested dog is tick-free thanks to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue and now has a home.

Description of Work: I started (and still am) having problems with ants, spiders & cockroaches. I noticed this family business on Angies List that got some good reviews...so I called. We set up an appointment & payment plan. The first visit I paid $150.00. The Tech was prompt, in fact he arrived earlier then expected. I told him what & were the problems were, showing the places in our house & garage. He was pleasant & went about his buisness. He was quickley done. He explained that because of all the rain, they would have to return to complete the outside. But they never called to do the outside. About a week later, I was still experiencing the same problems. I found a Cockroach in my closet & several in the garage & now experiecing Silver Fish in my cubboards! Spiders & ants aboundant! I phoned to set up another appointment. They came again on time. Of course it was raining again the day he came & of course no outside application.. But this new Tech, went about his business. He didn't spray just put some sort of dusty stuff around. I told him where I was noticing problems. He wasn't there very long. Again, these problems presisted even after one week... I phoned several times leaving messages. No return calls. Finally after several attemps, a real person answered the phone! I explaind the sistuation about my buggy problems. Set up another appointment. The first Tech arrived on time. Showed him the dead Cockroaches I found the night before in the garage & bedroom ants. He again explained about the rain & that would make them come inside. While I understood his explaination(excuses) He said he wasn't going to do anything unless I paid the balance. I was taken back! Why would I pay more $$$ for a job that wasn't done correctly in the first place. It was a beautiful morning, so he could have then applied the outside application, & possibly sprayed inside where I found ants, spiders & cockroaches ! I would have sent them the balance in a week, if the problems were solved. But he insisted he was told not to complete the job until he was paid. So I said "Goodbye." In reality, I paid $150.00 for nothing!!!!

Description of Work: I had a termite problem. Another company came and wanted to tent the whole building (I live in a townhouse with three other units) that just wasn't feasible. I called my Realtor who referred me to Gardens. They came out and did an interior process that was able to get rid of the termites. They also had a guarantee on the work!
