Moving Network Usa

Look somewhere else! We had so many issues with this company it is ridiculous. We did an interstate move with them. 1) They hire a third party company to move your things. In our case this was a guy who rented a moving truck from budget and hired temporary employees as he went state to state. 2) On the day of our move the mover asked us for a cash advance of $600! We had a cashiers check prepared for the pick up and one for delivery. I called moving network USA as this was a red flag and quite shady. They said it is common for movers to ask for cash advances so they have money for gas and food on the road. What company doesn't have a couple hundred bucks set aside for that? 3) The moving company called about an hour outside of our final destination and tried to raise our delivery cost by $700! Said it weighed more than estimated. Moving network USA told us the price would not change if the box count and inventory list was correct (which it was). I called them and after much back and forth they hashed this out with the mover. 4) Again the mover called me about 15 miles from our new house where he was delivering our items. He demanded that we pay the final balance (of over $2000) in cash! We had a cashiers check and our bank was located in our old state. We did not have a bank at our new location. He said they would not deliver it until the cash payment was available. We called moving network and they said the company can specify how they want payment. Ridiculous. My husband was at our new location awaiting deliver and had to scramble from bank to bank until he found one who was willing to cash our personal check! 5) We finally got our items and had damage to big ticket items. We filed a claim and didn't hear anything for weeks. I called moving network usa. They advised me to call the moving directly who of course did not return my call! After going back and forth with Moving Network they called an told me the mover was out of business, but would maybe return in the spring when moving season picked up. If he did they would talk to him then. Otherwise there was nothing they could do. What a mess! It is now 8 months since our move and still nothing. Moving network ignores my calls and emails. I was communicating with the head of dispatch Michelle, but complete silence on her end. She had one of her employees call me back in March to relay the message that the moving company was out of business. Next time we will go ahead and pay the extra funds to have a reputable, trustworthy company help us with our move. It is already stressful enough to move. You don't need issues like this on top of it!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY. I cannot stress this enough. They are terrible. I stupidly signed a contract with them to move me out of state because their price was too tempting. Well, they have no internet presence except for their website. No reviews, nothing. So I decided to cancel my move. They required me to call (which I did) and inform them by certified mail (which I also did). I got a call a week before my move that my driver would be there. I told them I canceled and they would call me back. No phone call. I called several times and left messages, no returned calls. I finally got a hold of someone who said I was still scheduled, no call back after I talked to him. I'm kissing my deposit goodbye with this one, which was REALLY HIGH. Stupid me, don't fall for this scam like I did.
