SPECIAL NOTE to BUYERS and those REFINANCING; Buyers in need of an appraisal to obtain a NEW MORTGAGE (or) existing Home Owners in need of an appraisal for REFINANCING purposes, your lender WILL NOT accept an appraisal from you to be used for underwriting purposes. This is a direct result of changes implemented in the banking industry following the housing market collapse. Lenders will order their own appraisal from an independent third party.
