Their website and Google say they are open Mon-Fri 7:00-4:00. Just stopped by to try and buy a pallet of sod, but they were closed (it’s Monday, no National or state holiday). When I posted a review similar to the above on another platform, the owner responded claiming I was an idiot for trying to buy sod on a Monday. I was actually just looking to order, but that response was enough to tell me never to go back.

Owner was the most irritant person I have ever dealt with and the sod was horrible, half was dead. He kept blaming it on me for buying the "cheap" sod. Wasn't so cheap. He should really not be dealing with the public. I do not recommend this supplier

Absolutely the most disrespectful, insane business person I've ever encountered! We bought 3 pallets of sod from King Sod, once we laid it out we noticed about 98% of the sod had HUGE LUMPS in it, plus it was dead! I went in to see what we could do about this because our clients were literally tripping over these huge lumps on the ground now! I went in, Ken the owner was there, I explained our situation and asked what we could do. He slapped down a receipt on the counter and said "once you take it it's your problem." I shook my head and as I was walking out I told him he had poor customer service skills. This not so much of a man literally followed me (a 5'5 woman out to my car raging and ranting about my poor customer service comment! Throwing up his hands, getting loud and than swearing at me! My boss was on the phone with me at the time and heard everything! He told me to get the heck out of there because that guy sounded crazy! Even after I closed my car door he continued to rage! Yelling and throwing his hands up than flicked me the finger!!! This company should not be in business! AVOID king sod AT ALL COST!!

"F" is an understatement for this business operation. The owner, Ken Livingston, who is the very charismatic & charming (typing this with extreme sarcasm) "person" who runs the front desk, is not nice. He needs to get a new box of corn flakes. I'm advising any and all to not patronize this business. The Jesus fish he has on the web site is a fraud based on his demeanor and lack of personality. Rude and bitter would be the first two appropriate words that come to mind. He should dread the day I see him in public, off his property. Accusing me of stealing, in front of my own son, while I was still loading sod into my car, crosses the line. I also think he may be a little "off" as he referenced a past conversation that I never had with him. I tolerated his attitude in my first 4 visits since the product was good. During one of those visits I witnessed him overreact to an elderly, war veteran, who clearly was a first time customer not knowing the buying/loading process. Mr. Livingston didn't even consider helping the man. Do not buy from King.

If you want rude service, terrible sod with weeds, and overpriced sod then this is the place for you. I bought sod from them. The owner is very rude. One pallet had at least ten pieces of sod that had weeds in it. I had to throw them away. On top of that, they are overpriced. I will never go there again. I now go to another company that has better prices and service. I'm just a homeowner, not a landscape company.

Description of Work: I measured to determine how much sod I needed....approx 522 sf. Looked at King Sod website on-line and saw delivered pallet, based on 500 sf was $192.50 including pallet deposit. Thought: perfect. Went to King Sod to pay in advance for delivery. Owner was at desk and said pallets were only 400 sf. I tried to explain the website said prices based on 500 sf and that's what I needed but the owner was rude said they only delivered 400 sf pallets. I said I must have mis-read it and proceeded to pay for the 400 sf pallet which was $182.60 delivered. When I got home I looked up the website again, and I was correct, it said prices based on 500 sf (call for 400 sf prices). When the sod was delivered, the driver got the pallet off the truck and it was so rotten it broke in the street. So, he had to manually put half the sod on another pallet, which left many pieces broken, and the street a mess. When I returned the pallets, I brought with me a copy of the internet pricing and presented it to the person at the desk (not the owner) and said that I needed 100 more sf. and would pay the extra $10 per the internet pricing. He said he couldn't do that but would give the information to the owner. It's now been 2 1/2 weeks and I've not heard from the owner and the website information has not changed. No credit for broken pieces either. I did buy the extra sod I needed but they have no plastic or anything at the store to protect your car so: BUYER BEWARE! The truck driver/delivery guy was plesant and apologetic. The owner, not so much........

They removed old sod and prepared the lawn for the new sod in one day and installed the new lawn in two days. The only glitch was that it rained for a week in between which made the ground a muddy mess (not their fault, with so much rain the sod farm couldn't cut sod). The lawn looks nice.
