Joe The Mover

Excellent. From the start Joe was very responsive. I decided to with Joe because he listened to my needs instead of “just going by square footage” the the other moving companies kept saying to me. This allowed us to come to an agreement that we both felt happy about. His staff showed up 15 minutes early, they were efficient and professional. They moving truck was in clean and in great shape. They wrapped the bigger items we asked to be wrapped. I will definitely recommend them.

They were courteous and efficient. Best movers I have ever used.

The truck arrived early. The three movers were polite, friendly, professional and very hard working. The truck itself was very large and built for moving. Packing and unpacking were done as quickly as possible, everything was carefully handled and carried to the directed spots. We were very happy with the service. The cost was very competitive and well worth the money we paid.

Brian and his co-worker to an exceptionally great job. They were on time. No task was too big. They took great care with my stuff. Even climbing stairs. Very courteous and respectful. Took the time to do little extras like help me fix an area rug after Furniture have been placed on top. It was no easy task but they went above and beyond and gave more than expected! They were EXCELLENT!!

They arrived on time, packed up quickly and moved to the other location (less than a mile away) pretty quickly. At the other end, we had trouble because a couch would not fit through a hallway and into the room we needed it to. There was some minor wall damage as a result. Still a professional job for the most part.

Fantastic! Brian and John arrived on time and introduced themselves. After surveying the work to be done, they assured us there would be no problem completing the requested service. Both men were respectful, worked hard and efficiently. There was absolutely nothing of which I could be critical. Job well done Brian and John!

It was a pleasure dealing with this company. Joe answered the phone himself promptly every time. Fast scheduling and a reasonable estimate. The two employees were there on time, actually slightly ahead of schedule and they were very polite. This was a very big and heavy wall unit, that came apart only in two parts, and they handled it like pros. I was very nervous, but it all went well. They also put it together when we got to the destination. I would use this company again, and would recommend it to anyone. They were excellent.

He is excellent and I would highly recommend him. I have used him twice. I give him an A-plus.

We were in a rental and bought some furniture. We had them move it to the garage at our rental home and then we had them move it from the garage at the place we were renting to our new home.

I spoke with Joe several times and then his wife. They were just great to do business with. I had a small move to a storage locker so they did my job late in the day after another job. There men were hard working gentlemen and my husband and I could to say enough nice things about them. The entire process was a pleasure. I would absolutely recommend them and would use them again.

If you can call a move delightful, this was. Very professional and prompt. Brian, Ryan and John are seasoned professionals who got along with each other and were clean and caring of your belongings. They are a credit to the company. Thanks.

I needed this work done on very short notice. Joe's movers were there the day after I called. They were very efficient and hard workers. It was a difficult move because they had to negotiate over a temporary dirt driveway to get the heavy boxes and furniture into the house. They came up with a very good solution and it worked out great. Just in time too because the driveway was gone two days later.

Called Joe based on prior reviews, had a chat about needs and expectations. It's virtually impossible to give estimates on the phone for this type of work, but from my description Joe suggested three men & a large truck for a reasonable flat rate. We agreed on a date & time, and Joe called me the day before to confirm arrangements.....a nice touch from The Boss - thanks, Joe. Sure enough, the crew showed up at 8 a.m. sharp, ready to work. After a quick walk-around to familiarize themselves with the layout and gauge the effort required, we all got busy. And we worked 'em like rented mules. They broke down three sets of bedroom furniture, loaded our family heirloom antiques with great care, and treated our household goods as if their own. We had already packed three generations of fine china and crystal and many other items, and let the crew do the "heavy lifting" that seems to get harder with every year that goes by. Loaded file cabinet, about 200 pounds ? No sweat ! Solid mahogany "Drexel" curved glass china cabinet ? No sweat. Hot tub ? No sweat ! I had drained and cleaned it a couple of days before the move, so our crew managed to get it on its side and dolly it out of the pool cage and heaved it carefully onto the rear of their truck. We ordered pizza and refreshments for these guys, and took maybe 30 minutes to rest and recharge, then it was right back to work. Once at our new-to-us home, they went to work in reverse - every piece of furniture placed where requested, cheerfully. Even when my wife decided to move a few things, it was done without question. Furniture that had been disassembled was now reassembled. Everything was looking good, and these guys never once complained. In fact, there was plenty of friendly joking around while they worked, which made our stressful day much less so. We had so much "stuff" they had to make two trips - 25 miles each way, and worked into the night to insure that our needs were met. Almost 14 hours of hard work ! Needless to say, we are impressed. Of the hundreds of items moved, only one piece was damaged - a beveled mirror for one of the antique dressers was cracked when we unwrapped it. If it were not an heirloom I probably wouldn't even mention it, but I'm sure Joe and I can come to some agreement as to how to handle it - he is a stand-up guy. Joe, I'm truly sorry that I don't recall all their names but would like to give them the recognition they deserve. Please extend to them our sincere thanks for a job well done. I've already recommended your service to our real estate agent and to others, and will continue to do so. So many times we only read about things that go wrong. With Joe The Mover, things go right. Worth. Every. Cent.

The most seamless move and pleasurable experience in a potentially bad outcome on a rainy day. These two guys were excellent. They move a large piano between two houses in less then one hour.

Excellent Service. Brian and John were right on time (actually about ten minutes early!). Work was performed quickly and efficiently. Not even the tiniest scratch to anything. Personable young men who definitely knew there job! This move was booked on very short notice from us and from our initial contact with Joe we couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you need a mover, no need to look any further than Joe!

We couldn't have been more pleased they were nice and hard working and just all around polite total joy to work with and we tipped them as should everyone they were worth their weight in gold

as agreed was Joe's team time on site. We had a lot prepared so much just had to be carried to the truck. The space in the storage was scarce. The challenge was to store all without damage. The challenge was accepted and we didn't need to rent additional space. The team was always nice, friendly and fast. After 6 hours, everything was cleared and acknowledged in Storage.

Perfectly, The truck arrived right on time. The workers immediately got to work and very smoothly and efficiently started loading the truck.They were obviously very experienced as they handled everything carefully with no damage to the furniture or the walls in the house. The move required 2 trips but in 8 hours everything was moved, beds and our sectional sofa were reassembled and everything was placed in the desired locations. I would like to add that all of our furniture was purchased last fall and was in new condition. Any scratches, marks or other damage would have been obvious. On inspection, not a ding, a scratch, a scuff or anything else. EVERYTHING ARRIVED IN PERFECT CONDITION!! The workers were professional, friendly and very anxious to do whatever we wished to have done. I cannot image this having been easier and the price was a more than fair. I give them the highest possible rating. If I ever need a mover again they will be my first and only call. Thanks so much for a WONDERFUL JOB!! Jeff Stringham

Joe was professional and polite on the phone when scheduling. Joe gave a realistic estimate for the length of time it would take to move our belongings and his estimate was accurate! Other moving companies I called added two or three hours to the move. Joe rates were also better then the average moving rates!! I would definitely use Joe the Mover again and not hesitate to recommend his company to anyone. Thank you Joe the Mover and crew!

In a nutshell they were outstanding. Brian, Ryan and John arrived on time and on fairly short notice. They were highly professional and a pleasure to do business with. All of our items were carefully moved including some fragile and expensive pieces, and all arrived in perfect shape. Joe the Mover will be our choice whenever we need a hand.

Not well. I did not see how much of my furniture was damaged because it was loaded into a storage locker. A week ago I went to the storage locker and started pulling things out. They actually glued one item back together but used so much glue that it seeped out. Some items were damaged beyond repair and otherwise there were many nicks. They only wrapped some of the items. They managed not to break any of the glass. When the crew arrived - on time - at 8 am, they turned on their "boom box" to "blast" level which I asked them to turn off and they did. We tipped the crew, which I now regret after seeing what they did. I saw that they were moving very slowly in terms of how they used the freight elevator. Either they were milking the hourly rate or they were poorly trained. I had to take over running the elevator for sake of efficiency. I chose them because they received such high marks on Angie's List.

The price was a little more than I expected based on our conversation over the phone (they do not come out and give a quotem, but it was the cheapest I could find. They were also 1/2 hour late, but they did call the morning of and let me know. The movers were very nice and professional, and we felt that we could trust them. They seemed to care about our belongings. They took good care of most our belongings. We were not pleased that most of the boxes ended up in the garage, rather than in the house and in the rooms that they were labeled for. This required us to move a lot of boxes fairly quickly to get them inside out of the heat and into the rooms that we needed them in. Also, the movers did damage some of our belongings and a wall, which we noticed within the next few days after the move. I contacted Joe the Mover to report the damages and inquire about the insurance process. He said he would come out himself and take a look at the damages and take care of reimbursing us himself. When Joe arrived, he was over an hour late, reeked of alcohol, and was argumentative and uncooperative. We'll need Angie's List's help getting reimbursed for the damages to our belongings. I have had some terrible moving experiences in the past, and this wasn't the worst, but I still hope there are better companies out there - therefore, I wouldn't recommend this one.

Last minute call and they were able to schedule me on the day I requested. They showed up on time and started working immediately. Though they charged 1 hour extra of drive time and the distance between homes was 3.5 miles apart.
