"I had a disappointing experience with Gulf Breeze Enterprises when I hired John & Janet Hartranft to resurface my pool. Unfortunately, during the process, my pool and light were damaged. What made matters worse was that I had already paid them in full. When I approached them about the damage, they gave me an unsatisfactory response, likening it to not being able to predict when your car breaks down and essentially disavowing responsibility for the pool light. In an effort to motivate them to address the issue, I had to resort to a stop payment on the last check. This experience left me deeply dissatisfied with Gulf Breeze Enterprises. It's disheartening to deal with a company that doesn't stand behind their work and isn't willing to take responsibility for the damage they caused. I would strongly advise against using Gulf Breeze Enterprises if you value a company that stands by its work and takes responsibility for any issues that arise."

Contacted John and Janet (owners) for a quote on getting the interior of my pool refurbished, and the pool deck redone with pavers. Every step of the way John and Janet communicated and provided the schedule for the various contractors. All of them were on time and schedule. John take great care in providing detailed explanation of everything going on. For example my pool deck had large voids under the deck, and he had to schedule to pump hydraulic grout injections under the existing deck to support the pavers. Some companies that I had contacted did not mention this, and ultimately could have comprised the deck. Very good to work with, John was on site most days overseeing the process, and was involved with fixing a crack himself. Prior to me owning the house, someone had redone the interior of the pool by spraying fiberglass onto the interior, it took John's guy's about one week to remove all of the fiberglass in order to reapply the interior finish Communication was excellent!!

Paid several thousand dollars and problem not fixed. Told it would cost us more money to try again. We did exactly what was told to do to fix the problem, and paid over $7,000 for lifting and also had pool resurfaced and pavers and bull nose realigned. Total cost over $20,000. Still sinking!

It went extremely well. We are thankful that Gulf Breeze was recommended to us. We are planning to use them for anything that we will need in the future. Nancy R.

Gulf Breeze Enterprises did a great job on the project, Completed on time and on budget. This is the second major swimming pool project I have had with Gulf Breeze enterprises.

Went very well, prices were a bit higher than other quotes but quality was also better. Tech was punctual, polite and professional. Had to follow-up to get scheduled and find out if handrail had been delivered but once work was scheduled, no problems. A smaller job but well done. I will be recommending them to others especially for other related pool service jobs.

The work went very well. John and Janet were a pleasure to work with. Their employee on the job, Tyler, was courteous, professional, and answered my questions thoroughly. Work start date was delayed by weather and some other jobs scheduled prior to mine.

John and Janet Hartranft were so incredibly professional and paid great attention to detail. I interviewed several companies and knew immediatly that this was the one to go with. Tyler, the lead on the job site was just fantastic. This company is a pleasure to work with. All of my ideas and designs (on a difficult pool) were put into place without question. I can not say enough good stuff about John. YOU want THIS company for your pool, and I didn't get any special favors for saying this. The job was finished last month. 6 stars!!!!!

John and his crew did everything that was detailed and agreed upon. They were thorough and diligent, including the clean up!!

The pool is approximately 20 yrs old and the finish was cracking and wearing away, lifting up and exposing cement; there was a vertical crack from top of tile to the bottom of the pool. We were no longer able to sufficiently clean the pool due to the roughness of the finish. I met with John, the owner who came out within a day or two of my call; I found his company on Angie's list (and coupon). He explained his procedure for repairing the crack, discussed pool options and colors. He provided a tile catalog and also informed me that this is not the only company to use if I did not find something I liked. He provided a proposal within a few days and work and costs were itemized. This was appreciated as it made comparing among companies an easy task. We met with other companies but no one was as thorough in explanation of procedures and plans for crack repair as John. (I found out that John developed this particular method of crack repair). The prices were comparable. The work was stated a few day sooner than planned which was ok. The crew was pleasant and courteous. They did not appear to delay or stall in any way. When they left for the evening, the area was left clean and their equipment was consolidated into one area. Work progressed as planned and the job was completed within a few weeks. They began chemical treatment of water and had a pool water specialist check on the balancing. The pool looks very nice. We like the surface and tile colors. The lanai cement that was cut to accommodate the crack repair is almost identical with the cement finish in place. Once it is painted we will not be able to tell that any work was done. We are happy with choosing Gulf Breeze Enterprises. John, Janet and Tyler answered questions readily and I never felt put off or rushed when speaking with them. Hopefully the pool surface will last as long as the original and we may not be the the ones to replace it, but if we do need additional work, I would not hesitate to contact them.
