As others have mentioned, Carl called me and walked me through a diagnosis of the problem with the ice dispenser switch on the phone! He could tell that it needed work from what I described, so he set up an appointment for the following day. He arrived on time, and quickly assessed the problem. Rather than charging me for new parts, he made some changes to the part that must have been previously installed (by the prior owner), and was able to fix the switch in no time. He only charged me for the visit - I will use Carl and Ray again for all of my appliance repair needs. I recommend him!!

I found Carl on Angie's list. I had a return call from him with 30 minutes of my first call. We arranged a time that was convenient for me. Ray arrived on time and was able to diagnose the problem quickly (I had suspected it was just the switch on the door that had failed). He had the part on the truck and replaced it quickly and efficiently. He was done within 30 minutes. I was very pleased with the professional attitude, willingness to show me what he was doing, and the fact that he had the part I needed.

Excellent service! Arrived on time and went right to the problem. Explained that this was a common problem and pointed out that there was a "spare" door catch built in (part of being able to change door direction). Repair was quickly done (swapped catches), no problem. Great news was that he didn't pitch a "replacement" part as I believe other repairmen would. Overall, great experience. Will definitely be using him in the future.

Carl, the owner quickly called me back after my first call to him. He followed up, and made sure that all went well with the call. He's friendly and knowledgable.

Carl's is the best - the honest repairman you always wanted. He responds promptly, and works to fix your problem, and will tell you if repairing makes sense, re the money and the longevity of the appliance. My daughter has used him, as well as many neighbors, and we have all had the same positive experiences.

Did an excellent job repairing the oven, and provided advice on other aspects of the oven I was unaware of. . Even provided tips on keeping the dishwasher in top condition.

Carl diagnosed and then tested his conclusion before we ordered the part. He'll be back later in the week to complete the repair.

It was very nice of Carl to give me advice on the phone without a service call to assure me I was not having a problem with my refrigerator and to help get the old water filter removed. I will definitely keep Carl in my Favs list for any future appliance issues!

Carl scheduled the visit on date and time of our preference. He was professional and an expert on resolving the problem. The repair was simple and he spent additional time explaining things we could do to better maintain the appliance to prevent future problems.

He was excellent. I've used him before. He made the repair; one, two three. He knows what he is doing and it wasn't expensive. My husband spent hours on it and he was able to repair it in 5 minutes. I will definitely use him again.

We had a leak inside our washing machine such that the tub was filling with water all by itself. I called Carl and he couldn't come right away but did schedule an appt within a short period of time. He stated that he left openings in his schedule to handle emergencies or urgencies for customers. I appreciated this thoughtfulness for folks in dire straits. He told me that the problem was the valve in our washer and cautioned me not to use the machine unless I was home in case the valve gave way. He said I would have a flood. Since it would be a few days before he came, I watched it carefully and did not use it - when the tub got more than half full, I emptied it without problems. Of course it didn't fill again...funny. He came, turned it on, identified and repaired the problem easily. I have had no further issues with it. The dryer door would be more convenient for me if it opened the other way, and I asked him to switch it, which he did. Additionally I was finding that the dryer was less than efficient on settings other than high heat. He checked it and said that I needed to be careful of the weight of the clothes put in- some things dry faster than others and I should dry like things together. The dryer is sensitive to the dry things apparently and doesn't keep going. This was an education for me, and as I said to him I guess the dryer is smarter than I am. This machine is about 5 years old. I continue to have problems with the efficient drying, but I guess operator error is the culprit. He did check the vent to the outside and reported it clear and heat is coming out. He said if the vent was blocked the moisture would just stay in the dryer, essentially.
