+ -1 moreJust a couple of hours later i was called by Babe's and told that if I was home they could send someone out. Chuck arrived within about 20 minutes. After assessing the situation he opened the outside access and routered out 30 feet of sewer line releasing copious amounts of backed up waste. Even though $225 seemed to be a lot for what I think was 45 minutes of work Chuck was a pleasant guy and it was a great relief to be able to use our toilets a day earlier than initially anticipated. I would use them again.
Description of Work: The sewer line beneath our villa was totally blocked. Sinks and toilets blocked and odor backing up into the house. I called for an appointment and was told they had an opening the following morning but that, in light of my situation, they would try to get someone out sooner.

Description of Work: This was for back flow preventer certification. They charged $75 for one. Checking with neighbors in our HOA (after the fact) La Pensee Plumbing charged $40 for one and Aqua Plumbing charged $39 for two.

+ -1 moreIt went the way things should go, from beginning to end. I called them, told them that I was an Angie List Member, as well as a previous customer. Jeff was very polite and scheduled a Free Estimate for me. Fred Mumma their Service Mgr. then arrived on time and provided me with an estimate, as well a list of the parts I needed to contact Moen (Lifetime Warranty) with to mail to me (this was a savings in and of itself, since I would not have to pay for any of the parts, which Fred had no problem providing me with). Once I received all of the parts from Moen, I re-contacted Jeff at Babes and he scheduled a time to complete the repairs. The day of the repairs, Jeff contacted me and asked if it was alright for the plumber to come earlier than previously scheduled, otherwise he would arrive at the previously agreed upon time. This earlier time worked even better for me. Craig the plumber arrived and professionally completed all repairs and presented me with a bill for the exact previously agreed upon amount (which included the Angie's Members Discount). It was a pleasure doing business with Babes Plumbing once again, who I would use in the future without hesitation and have no problem recommending to anyone.

The plumber, Rich, did a very professional job and cleaned up so well that you would not know that he removed the old water heater and replaced it with a new unit. I used a coupon Babes Plumbing had on Angie's list to save 10%.

Description of Work: removed and replaced water heater and recirculating pump this time. we had used them for faucet repair and they were very good and prompt so i decided to go with Babes again because I fought the price was more than fair and the work very good. This time I worked with Josh for the bidding and decision making regarding tankless vs standard tank system. Josh was very patient but more importantly the most knowledgeable person I talked to and he was nothing but honest,well informed and professional. Our situation was very unusual because the heater broke the night before we left on vacation so I was trying to schedule and decide literally while I was driving home from Texas during severe thunderstorms. Josh was so helpful and he was the only agent that I talked to and I talked to several that knew and walked me thru some of the specific things we would have to check and do correctly if I opted for tankless. He explained in detail benefit vs risk,cost of each option and timing of installation,he was a cut above the best. we literally called them the day we were coming home because it was earlier than planned and they were unreal in accommodating us. Iam not kidding when I say the Babes truck pulled in 3 minutes after we got home. Craig was our plumber and he was also truly professional. He got started right away and they had another truck deliver everything they needed and the job was day. two things struck we , one the quality of the job and the materials were all absolutely top-drawer and the craftsman ship was also superb.the job just screams top quality. Craig was really professional and to top it off the job was 100 dollars cheaper than he bid that day. Thats something I thought I would never see again in my life time, Honesty! Quality! Integrity! Well done Guys thanks John

+ 0 moreWe woke up early Saturday morning to a flooded bathroom, the hot water heater had broken. I finally found the water shut off valve outside and turned it off. I cleaned up the mess and waited until 9:00 AM to call Babe's. Kenny answered my call and told me he was on another job but that he would be here within a half hour. He showed up 30 minutes later exactly. He was dressed professionally and was sympathetic to our predicament. He capped off the pipes on the hot water heater so that we could at least have cold water. He assured us he could replace the heater that day, but because it was a Saturday, he would have to charge time and a half, which I fully expected. After crunching the numbers, we decided to wait until Monday to have the replacement done. I found the price reasonable in either situation. They even had a $10.00 off coupon on Angie's site. I believe in Babe's motto: "You get what you pay for". The work was done that Monday professionally and without any surprises or add-on costs. I would highly recommend this company to anyone! I hope I don't need them in the future, but I would certainly call them.

+ -1 moreCarl showed up on time and knew exactly what needed to be done. He got through the process easily and quickly and everything was fine. We've had Carl out before for other tasks and he genuinely enjoys his job and is happy to show us what he's doing and how he's doing it. So besides it being a service call, it's a bit of a learning experience for us too. Babe's prices are definitely higher than other plumbers but we feel like it's worth it to know who's coming to the house and that the work won't have to be redone. We trust them.

+ -1 moreThey were slow to return calls initially to set dates for work to be done, but we gave them a grace period because of the height of the busy tourist season. Finally Steve the technician came out to start the work and was very nice and did a good job. A bad experience with local electricians made changing out water heaters a whole lot more challenging, but this technician did help in resolving the problems. After receiving a flat rate bill, we requested several times for an itemized bill. We were very surprised to receive a late payment charge from their company after our numerous requests for an itemized bill where not responded to. When we finnnnally did get the bill, the hourly charge of $100.00 an hour was way higher then we expected. Our mistakes were not asking the hourly rates before the work was done and not using the Angie list coupons available which would have knocked down the total charge. Generally, this was not a positive experience.

I've used other plumbers for years and basically had to suffer though ignored requests for service as well as poor workmanship and the lack of knowledge with their own field! Normally these plumbers take over a week to service the call and charge ridicules fees to boot! NOT BABES PLUMBING! I made one call on a Monday and at 9:00 the next morning there was a real live plumber sitting in my driveway with a truck, tools and a brand new high quality hot water tank! Babes has been very pro active with making sure all city inspections were being taken care of so the zoning department would approve the work. I'll NEVER use another plumber again now that Ive found BABES PLUMBING!!
Description of Work: They replaced a new hot water tank. In addition the plumber also changed out all my toilet bowl flushers as the house has been vacant for too long!
