I'm happy with their work. I would want others to know they are going to try to push you to sell you other things. There were no issues.

unit worked flawlessly after repair. work was done (in the dark). Took about an hour and a half.

Informed us there was no charge as unit was under warranty.. These folks arrive on time with enough technicians to get the job done. Costs are a little high; but you get what you pay for!

My granny said that her thermostat wasn't working. I found One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating here on Angie's List. I made an appointment for 3pm today, but Craig showed up early. I was told that if they had something sooner they would arrive early, because the temperature was supposed to drop tonight. My granny said that he was so polite, knowledgeable, and that she was very pleased with his service. If you are looking for someone, ask for Craig.

It went terrible, The employee gave me the run around about my AC unit, saying that it was broken, and that he couldn't perform the service call until I got a new unit. I then called another company to perform the services, and the second company I called out fixed my AC unit and had it up and running in about an hour.

Everything great except a couple of mistakes made in installation. They were immediate in returning to correct the issues and were honest about it. Their honesty and quick response made this perfectly ok in my book-we all make mistakes but very few own up to them. I will definitely recommend this company and will use again.

. Called One Hour A/C & Heating on a Saturday morning - Call center was extremely pleasant. Service member came out to the house, was polite, helpful and allowed me to look over his shoulder so that I could learn in the future for myself. Request Cecil, he is fantastic and will get to the bottom of your issues in no time flat. I will use him for the future, especially when I am out of town and utilize this property as a rental.

Watch out for these guys. They do whats called piece work and rip people off.

Originally this company was to come on Tuesday the 25th. It was a no-show completely. I called the company back, told them no one came. The person who answered the phone wanted to put me on hold while she checked. I told her no, that I was home, and no one showed up. I then refused to make a second appointment, saying I was going to call another AC Company and said good bye. The phone rang about 15 minutes later., it was the same lady. I told her that I had just joined Angie's List and was writing about my bad experience when she called . She apologized for their error and asked if I would please reconsider, the techs would be on time and the $55.00 check-up would be free. So we made a second appointment for today, the 26th. Today Craig and Travis came out on time. As they performed their check-up they explained everything to me. They are professional, polite, intelligent and they are proud of their company and the work they do. I ended up joining the Maintenance Club and will get my AC unit checked, cleaned twice a year by trained people! so of course I would call them again.

These guys are great. Put the nearly dead system back in operation. Recommended new system (no surprise, the old system was over 15 years old.) Replaced the entire system the next day. Very good job, very nice people.

The tech came into the house and said the blower motor bearing was going bad before he even opened the HVAC closet. I think the noise he heard was a result of the system being low on freon because it stopped once the system was charged up. He said it would be expensive on this system, around $1k for the motor. He went outside to look at the exterior compressor part of the system and said the system was 5 lbs low. He said the system was over 5 years old and out of warranty (2008 system). He said the leak was most likely in the evaporator coils and that would be over $1k to replace. He recommended I talk to one of their comfort advisors about getting a new system right now before he actually spent any time finding the leak. He became a little pushy and I asked him to back off of the high pressure sales pitch and that I would like to find out where the leak really was. I thought maybe it would be an easy fix like my son nicking a freon line with the lawn mower or something like that. This seemed to reenergize him to be even more pushy. He said if he finds the leak they will want to fix it and there is no telling how much that will cost. I insisted he use his electronic leak detector ($121) and find the leak and recharge the system ($249). He never showed me the location of the leak but told me the evaporative coil in the HVAC closet was leaking in two places. The cost to replace that was now $2,359. He also said the blower motor bearing was failing and would cost $1,099. He also said I needed a PCO system to keep mold from growing in my system for $1,585. I asked him what I owed him for the service call, leak detection, and freon and paid him $439 to leave. I called another company for a second opinion. They used their electronic sniffer to check both the inside and outside portions of the system and they only found a leak in the reversing valve located in the outside portion of the system. They showed it to me by putting soapy water on it and I could see the valve making bubbles. The valve was under warranty (10 year warranty on the system) and I only had to pay for labor and freon. I am really disappointed in One Hour. I used them on another HVAC system a couple of years back and they were prompt, and thorough but a little pricey. I thought it was worth the extra cost for the service and competency but I now attribute it to the individual tech and will not roll the dice with them again. 9 May 2014 Update - I tried calling the GM (general manager) as JB suggested in the response below. They would not let me talk to him. I left a message. The Service Manager called and said "people make mistakes." He said he would refund the $439 they charged me. If this happens I will revise my ratings. 15 May 2014 Update - Still waiting for the refund... 29 May 2014 Update - Still waiting for the refund... 13 June 2014 Update - received the check after having to repeatedly call and be told it was already cut and in the mail. I recommend you get an estimate from one-hour and then get a second opinion. It saved me $5,000.

They came in at the time they said they would and completely removed and installed a new system. They have been back to check on how it is working. I am very pleased with their work.

They were wonderful and they stand by their one hour appointment time. They are polite, knowledgeable and very nice people.

I usually do not take time to write bad reviews, but in this case I will make an exception. Avoid this company. Do a google search and you will see a million reasons why.

They are highly professional. There are no attempts to upsell me on anything or provide me with maintenance or service that I don't need. They've always been very honest and forthright. I still do business with them.

I didn't have to pay anything for them to come out and replace my compressor because I am in their comfort club.

When they came, they tried to sell me a $10,000 system that I didn't need. When I got a second opinion, the second opinion came out and it was like, yeah if you want a crappy system for more than you should pay for and you don't really need it because your system is fine. All you need is this part and he showed me the part that was burned out and it was like $80. I will replace it and we warranty it for a year or I can replace the whole thing and I'll do it half the price if you want me to do the whole thing. The bottom line is the one that I used was very truthful. He said I can sell you the same stuff for half the price but you don't need it. I'd love to sell it to you and install it and make a bunch of money. What he said was that he's had customers that had the same issue where it doesn't matter what's broken, they recommended replacing it even if it's under warranty and they don't even honor the warranty type of thing. They'll look at something and it should be the manufacturer's warranty which would give them the money and they would just not tell you that it's under the manufacturer's warranty and they recommend a new system. That's hearsay but that was exactly what happened in my case. For their punctuality, you call them and they're on time every time. He charged me $80 for coming out even though I didn't have anything done. It's a rip off. The stuff that they were selling is the lowest quality but when I was deployed, my wife had work done and they were able to come out and replace something. It was a contactor and it fixed the air conditioner but it broke again. My wife used them before because it was like an emergency. She didn't know what to do. She saw the ad, she called and they said that they could come right away because it was hot in the house and they were able to replace it. It only lasted about 9 months before it broke again so it might be a quality issue or something else. If you need something done, you can probably call them and they'll come out basically 24/7 and they come out quickly and they're going to charge you and you're not going to get quality work.

Professional sales and installation crewsn

They came out on a Saturday to fix my system, this was the same day I found my AC not working. The tech found the problem - installed the new part, charged up my system with coolant. He then informed me the unit was still under a 10 year warranty for parts and labor. This was a nice surprise - no charge for this Saturday service call - I signed up for their bi-annual maintenance program to keep my warranty in effect - $189 a year for two visits a year.

I wanted to call them thinking they were going to be here in an hour, It's kinda an emergency because I support someone who's elderly and needs to stay cool. Sure enough, had to wait two days and the guy was clueless. He forgot to clean the AC unit which is a normal part of an inspection. My house stayed hot in certain spots, cold in others. I knew I wasn't crazy. I know were only human but he should have used common sense. Plus, he overcharged me for freon. Were going to either dispute with the credit card company or call and see about getting a price reduction. One Hour is a false name and a false sense of getting the job done.

I am not sure of the date of the service call. It was either in 2010 or 2011. The reason I am submitting this review so long after the event, is because I have been deployed with the Navy off and on for the last three years. and had not joined Angie's List until recently. One Hour Heating and Air came out to my parents house to check out the central air conditioning system. My folks arre in their 70s and 80s. After inspecting the system, they informed my parents that a part was needed that would cost over $900.00! They left her an estimate and the part number of what was needed. My mom said she would let them know and they left. At the time, I owned an appliance sales and service center. My mom called me and gave me the part number. I called one of my suppliers and found that the wholesale part cost was less than $50.00. I ordered the part and had a "local" company install it. The A/C has been working fine now for over two years. In my opinion One Hour Heating and Air is a "condemn and replace" company. In other words, if you have them come out, more often than not, they will condemn your unit and try to sell you a new one. That's where they make their money! Make sure you get a second estimate before you commit.

When called in the morning, they were not able to give me a time of arrival. They said it would be sometime that day, which was a surprise for their One Hour guarantee, but I agreed to wait for their call. When the technician called that he was on his way, he did arrive within the hour. This was approx. 6 hours later. We briefly discussed the problem and he looked at the system and identified the source of the freon leak. I was not happy with the way they itemize each step for fixing the problem. They have a 5 step pricing guide, and the price just keeps escalating as the technician tells you what he has to do to fix the problem. Our technician Brian was a great guy! Very professional, honest, efficient and knew the system very well. He followed company guidelines but made it right for us at the end of his visit, by applying discounts for us.

They came out that day and checked our Heating & A/C. There was supposed be a conversion kit installed but our unit was under warrenty. Our repairman said that the company had left this part out. He had to order the part. He apologized that they didn't have the part. He said that they couldn't leave us without heat and our repairman drove that night to Florida to get the part. That is unheard of. They're clean and friendly. They sent a guy out to completely go over the system top to bottom with us. I was amazed! People just don't do that anymore. Above and beyond what you would normally expect.

Found missing power to air handler and traced it to house panel. Replaced circuit breaker. Heat pump required no work.
