One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating of Niceville

The only negative thing to say is that they are always late by the supposed time.... We have to choose a time slot of (3h) for example between 8h-11h and they call back to say they will be late 1/2 hour before.

They always find something wrong that is going to cost more money. Or they try to sell you a new furnace when you do not really need one.

Had to replace both systems so it was a very expensive repair. All the techs were very responsive, knowledgeable and professional.

Choose not to do anything. Wanted to replace system.

Just purchased the home and had no knowledge if the unit or system. Service Tech knowledgable of my systems and was able to explain everything to me in order to keep it in good running condition.

In a word ... impressive. From diagnostic to final install, everything went smooth, as promised, and very professional. You may end up paying a bit more but it was WELL WORTH IT. Plus, the equipment is all made in American and since I bought a new unit, they refunded the service call on my old, worn-out AC unit. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about One Hour AC.

They told me I had a Freon leak in the a/c system and had another outfit that verified I did not have a leak. They said I was 5lbs low on Freon when the system only holds 5 lbs 11 oz and because of the leak they could not put more in. Then they said 5000 to repair or they could install new system for 14,000. They seemed very professional and smooth and gave a hard sell. I almost went with them but had a second outfit verify. I know my system is old (16 years) but still working fine. They did replace a capacitor that failed which returned the system to service. I did not appreciate the hard sell.

Knowledgeable, fixed everything the first time, even noticed a few other actual issues that needed to be looked at (Not AC) and they were right and got those items fixed as well. Great company, always on time, can not speak highly enough of them.

Jimmy was nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. He was well outside my 4 hour appointment time when he arrived, but because dispatch called and said he was running behind and I said ok, I guess that **on time or you do not pay a dime** does not count. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken thermostat wire outside. I opted to have him pigtail wire to get it working. He spliced less than two feet of wire outside from where it exits the house to the outside unit. No wires were pulled from the inside unit to the outside. He called it a **rewire**and I was charged $635. Less than 2 feet of wire spliced for $635. Jimmy did offer to roll the charge into a new system if I opted to have the system replaced. Way to hold that over a customer head! While I may need a new system and will likely get a new system, it will not be from One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating because they charged me $635 for splicing 2 feet of thermostat wire. The entire time Jimmy was there he was pushing hard on a new system. Telling me how old the system was and how it was in such rough shape. That may be true and I will take that into consideration, with another company.

Don't believe they are always on time. They had to reschedule and had to fight area traffic on the rescheduled day. Work was good and professional

Once I posted the project on Home Advisor, this company promptly replied with a desire to bid on the job. Also, when I called them, an actual person answered the phone - and she was friendly, and seemed very excited to be able to help me. She answered all my questions and even acknowledged that, if I was to find someone else to come sooner, it would be fine to cancel my appointment. She guaranteed a technician would be here between 4-8PM. The technician called to say he was on his way and arrived at 5:30pm. He promptly diagnosed the problem, replaced the part that was faulty, and warned us of any potential issue we might encounter in the near future, after he assessed our unit age and condition. He made some recommendations, but was NOT pushy trying to sell us additional parts or service. I can certainly appreciate and recommend this company.
