Maddens Heating & Air Plus LLC

With the searing temps we've had lately there was no way my family could have survived without nice cold AC. The problem was that we discovered the inside unit was leaking and water had seeped under the hardwood floors in my hall and closet. The wood had buckled and the finish was cracked, but we needed cool air and continued to run the unit with buckets and towels to catch the dripping water. I called Bob on Wed morning, and he was at my home, ready to repair the leaky unit by 1:00 the same afternoon. Too bad he can't fix my floors! Despite the Florida July heat, Bob did not try to overcharge me or sell me services or parts I didn't need. I would definitely use Madden Air again should I have AC troubles.

We had just moved in. He showed up quickly and identified the problem. He had all the parts and coolant needed to get our system running. He Shared info about how the house was set up which was very helpful for a new homeowner.

Mr. Maddens has replaced entire A/C units; he has also diagnosed non-functioning units and applied relatively simple fixes for a very reasonable fee. As well, he has handled electrical problems, one of which was caused by an electrician. And he has hung ceiling fans. Most of his handyman work is done during the A/C off season. He is efficient, prompt, professional, personable and willing to explain to this amateur what he is doing. He doesn't look to sell me something I don't need. Knowing that he won't cheat me, I don't even ask for an estimate anymore. I hate to recommend him so highly for fear that others will monopolize him.

Water all over front hallway. A/C still working, but found drain had overflowed. Called Bob Maddens in the evening, he called back, determined that the situation was not an emergency and showed up here at 8:00 the next morning. Checked out everything, diagnosed a clogged drain, cleared it and then REFUSED PAYMENT! I live in Florida. Air condition is important! During the last five years, I have used Maddens Heating and Air exclusively for all my A/C problems, both simple and extensive and both for my home and for three rental properties. His charges have always been lower than the competition, he is marvelously responsive and doesn't want to sell me a new A/C every time he comes. (That has been a problem with less scrupulous companies.) He explains what is wrong, how to prevent the problem (if possible) and what I can do to fix it. Ex-military, reliable, responsive, reasonable, really nice guy. Maddens Heating and Air far exceeds my experience with HVAC companies and far exceeds my expectations. Highly recommended.
