+ -1 moreThe first year I used them I was very happy. Price was $40 for a little less than 1/4 acre. Just mowing and edging and it always looked great. After a few months the price jumped to $85 for the same yard. No warning or explanation, just a bill for $85 on the door. It wasn't worth it to me when there are plenty of services that cost less and do the same quality of work. Never had a problem with the quality, just the value.
Description of Work: Lawn mowing, edging and trimming.

Description of Work: Called last minute for lawn service on a house I was moving out of. He called me back, was very friendly and was able to get me a quote that day and squeeze me in last minute so I did not have to take care of my move out lawn work. Job looked good.

+ -1 moreHired the company to perform lawn service. They came on tiime for the first couple of times but then went 17 days without coming to perform the lawn service. At this point, I e-mailed the company and cancelled service with them. I received no response from them regarding the lack of service or cancellation of services.

+ 3 morePlease note that the "price" is under discussion and both quantities and ratings could change, based on vendor responsiveness. We outlined a number of tasks to be done, noting that not all could happen at once. Bluewater Bay Lawn Care tendered a proposal. When we were ready to have the tasks done, we gave the green light on those items we were ready for. BWBLC responded by performing more than was asked for, with problems with the way the work was done, and when I raised an objection and put forward "We need to talk" the response was:"...5) Pay what you want. 6) Find someone else to work with. With No Respect, -Jesse" A more complete transcript, for those interested, is downloadable from http://www.mediafire.com/?av4fn49i91l71e4 . Only non-related side discussions were not included. Further details available on request. I found this treatment to be less than professional. I don't recommend this service to others. That differences can and do exist is unavoidable. To refuse discussion ... that is the basis for the "professionalism" rating.
Description of Work: The original proposal in response to our request for bid was: "Mowing Service: Includes mowing, string trimming, stick edging and blowing; We mow 8 months out of the year 3.5 times a month for a total of 28 mowing services during a calendar / fiscal year. ü $95.00 Mowing service to include string trimming, stick edging and blowing. (first time mowing service to cut in / edge drive way and string trim around house and back porch). ü $45.00 Mowing service to include string trimming, stick edging and blowing. (as needed every 10 days or so) Hedge Trimming (June and October); Our goal here (pest avoidance) ants, termites, bugs ,snakes, etc…) by removing all hedge / shrubs from contacting your investment property (foundation, exterior wall, eve, soffit and roof). Also, we use the current architecture details of your exterior (windows, doors, arches, etc…) in deciding the height of said hedge / shrubs i.e. average height (rule of thumb) is 20% - 30% of HAGL (height above ground level) 10' exterior wall = 2' - 3' shrub height. ü $50.00 ($1.50 per linear foot): We will cut and stack neatly on the front of your property for Waste Management to pick up. Tree trimming; Canopy (front elevation / front yard) HAGL (height above ground level) 15' this will enhance your front elevation and allow more sun to improve the overall health your Lawn. ü $100.00: We will cut / trim and stack neatly on the front of your property for Waste Management to pick up. (Magnolia tree at front entrance) ü $250.00: We will cut / trim and stack neatly on the front of your property for Waste Management to pick up. (small trees right side of house) Pine Straw Mulch for natural area out front under Magnolia tree 30' in circumference. ü $120.00: We will lay / edge 20 each bales of pine straw mulch. Clean out gutters and blow off roof. ü $35.00: We will clean out gutters and blow off roof.
