Massey Services Inc - New Smyrna Beach

Carlos a "manager"decides instead of ringing my doorbell to just go past the "keep out no trespassing" sign, open the door ,and enter my house. He was mad that I did not pay to renew services. Well after no inspection for 2 years, harassment for prepayment, months before a pre pay service bill is due. I get threatened by Carlos that he was go to pull all baitstations out of my yard and gardens . Those which were installed before I purchased the house. I was told by massey there was no previous contract by past deceased owner. So I pay thousands to tent the house and then they claim the old bait stations are theirs. Doesn't make sense. Carlos is a goon, with horrible customer service skills. What a s*** show of an operation, stay away. Far away. The prepayment bond is a scam. You are just pre-paying them to maybe have to tent in the future. Do some research you can get the work for a fraction. And their quarterly pest control is garbage. Just buy a home defense spray from home depot. It works just as good if not better.

Massey was very responsive, and their follow up went well, too.

We have an annual contract with them, they come in, and check for termites. They're always pleasant, on time, very professional, and seem to know what they're doing. I use them every year.

this company does not impress me at all. A year ago Massey tented this home for 4000.00 which we now believe was way out of line. We later discovered that they sub contract that work to another company which probably explains the inflated price. A year later, yesterday in fact, they performed the annual termite inspection. The inspector spent less than a half hour at the house and reported that he saw no evidence of termites or wood destroying insects. That is because he did not do a thorough inspection. He did not inspect the shed on the property which is covered by the bond nor did he go under the house. There is a 3 to 4 foot crawl space under the house which sits on cinderblock piers. There is exposed wood (floor joists and floring) which was not inspected. Would I recommend this company? No, not on price and not on service.
