The work was done quickly. After they finished the job, I had to have them back to fix mistakes before I paid. A week later I am still seeing things that are poorly done, such as door frame from kitchen to garage, door frame from garage to patio.

The porch replacement took longer than projected, partially due to weather, but the finish product is great. I will use Island Dream Homes for future projects.

The quality of work is just down right amazing. They take their time and get it done right. Trustworthy company that you will have the piece of mind that your project will be done professionally and you won't get ripped off.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE ISLAND DREAM HOMES OR CONTRACT BRET JONES OR MICKI - EVER. Go check out the reviews on Google for them. Those are the real ones. Anyone here who said that they received good service had to have left a review before these guys finished the job... because they rarely finish. Instead they lie, sign a contract with you they have no intention of honoring, they will more than likely ask you for all your money before 50% of the job is done and then ask for more or cant finish. We contracted them thru Home Advisor back in 2019 and by 2020 we ended up in the hole and having the finish the job ourselves. They ate up all of our contract money for Fridays pay to the crew and then went on vacation with the rest. These guys are low life scam artists or grifters, is more like it. They prey on customers but the end result is always the same. I cant believe 4 years later they are still able to get away with it. Do not hire these guys. Trust me.

My dealings last year with Bret Jones and Island Dream Homes was a nightmare! And unlike the young lady who posted her complaint who was afraid to identify herself in fear that Bret Jones may retaliate against her, I survived his train wreck and will gladly post my name. I am Greg F and Mr Jones knows exactly who I am. In summary, I commissioned Bret Jones to do a complete remodel on my 980 sq. ft condo in New Smyrna Beach, FL. It should have been a fun 3 month renovation. My wife and I were excited. A full month into our project we had barely half of the ceiling done in tongue and groove - a 2-3 day project for competent carpenters. Flooring was next yet none of the material, which had a 10 day lead time, had been ordered. This is what a contractor does - have materials on hand as the project progresses. Two weeks later he calls with a problem. He ran out of flooring material one bedroom short on a two bedroom condo. Come to find out he ordered 700 feet of flooring for a 980 ft condo. Who does that? What if your pilot loaded 3 hours of fuel for a 4 hour flight... Doors, blinds, trim, tile, paint, counter tops, electrical, cable, plumbing - literally, EVERY aspect of this project was a disaster! Bottom line - Bret Jones has no business being a contractor. Planning ahead does not happen in his world. He will not commit to any kind of time schedule. Why? Because he DOES NOT HAVE ONE! His head is not in the game. He has absolutely no money management skills. Your larger than normal down payment goes towards several previous projects he is hopelessly behind on, and when he catches up to your project, he is broke again. He will bill you top dollar for skilled tradesmen - electricians, plumbers, tile and trim - and has his hourly handy men do everything. The balance goes into his pocket. In the end, I paid him far more than he deserved and if I lived in town I would have sued him for fraud, waste and abuse. And after all this, Bret Jones has the audacity to post pictures of our condo on his web site without our permission to promote his sorrowful business! Shame on you Bret! We do not do such things in California or anywhere I am familiar with! Keep our pictures on your site Bret and I will do a weekly follow up. Trust me - I have enough material to keep this up for months!!!

Island Dream Homes goes above and beyond your expectations. The customer service given to the home owners by each and every person on the job is exceptional. Our home was damaged by Hurricane Irma and we had contacted 3 other contractors who wasted our time. I went on Home Advisors and Island Dream Homes name popped up; I’m so glad I contacted them. The high quality workmanship and honesty from this company is truly commendable. They worked with my schedule and made sure I was happy with the jobs they were doing. I couldn’t be happier with using this contractor. Thank you Brett, Micki and your talented crew for making my home “home” again.
