We found Charlie to be a highly competent plumber. He explained in greater detail than other plumbers we had contacted about work that should be done on an older house. In one case he informed us of the importance of knowing whether a separate French drain had been put in decades ago to prevent harsh detergents from disrupting essential microorganisms in the septic system. As with any house approaching 100 years-old, Charlie was flexible and adaptable in ensuring new plumbing fixtures such as shut-off valves fit with the older plumbing. Overall, he really knew his tradecraft.
