Description of Work: Jim came out to give us a quote for a new air conditioner. We had seen 7 other companies. He took the time to inspect our present unit, and he told us that our unit was not a good one, and he told us that because of the size of our home, we would be better served by a 5 ton unit. He also advised us to get a new furnace. No other company had said our old 4 ton unit was too small for our two story 5 bedroom home. They didn't want to quote a new furnace either, be cause they wanted to keep the bid down. But Jim told us it would lower our electric bills. Music to our ears since we live on a fixed income.

Description of Work: we have had us air for 15years . have had several units installed.

Description of Work: They installed my Rheem Heating and AC unit about six months ago and came out three weeks ago and indicated service was needed and not covered under warranty.

Description of Work: In the past they had installed a UV light to my 2002 Amana system. They also did a duct cleaning and fogging for mold. When we asked for a double-dose of the chemical, they provided it at a reasonable cost. this was all back in 2001.

Description of Work: For an annual contract, our family was able to obtain on-demand service for our AC and heating issues. This includes conveniently scheduled appointments for expert review and consult on the ways we can extend the life of our unit while keeping in great shape to deal with fluctuating Florida weather patterns. Brian was very professional and knowledgeable, and never pushy. He was able to explain what issues we had in terms we could understand and with patience in our questions. The service was speedy, clean, and excellent.

Description of Work: I have had US AIR for years (13) and they have always been wonderful. Brian is always helpful and professional. Today we contracted to do my sisters house tomorrow and as usual he came on time, was honest and charged a fair price. I always used to have problems keeping comfortable and Brian came and explained to us why we were having the problem, prescribed a solution and boy did he deliver. Our house is very comfortable and pleasant now with our Rheem system. The air cleaner also helps keep dust out and the UV works wonders to keep it clean.

Description of Work: Had Brian M. out today, he has always provided great service to us for several years, from replacement to maintenance. US Air has always been there for us and its a welcome sight when I see Brian come to my house. He explains everything to me and I feel good when he leaves.We like to do business with a familiar face and he delivers what he states he will.

Description of Work: Earlier this month, my mothers heat punp system failed, leaving her in the cold. Immediately I called US Air Conditioning and they came out and figured out the problem. Brian Montgomery was the technician that came out. He was super! Very nice, knowledgeable, professional and extremely good at explaining to my wife and I the problem that was going on at my mothers house. There was some issues with rust, but the biggest problem was issues with the freon. Now I really havent a clue as to how the machine worked but Brian did try his best to help us understand and did let us know what options we had. Ultimately we made a family decision to replace the 7 year old system (Carrier) with a new Rheem system because of the new technology and frankly we cannot have this happen again. Our mother is 85 and it is so important for her to be comfortable, and for my sanity because if she isn't happy, neither am I. The guy that came out the next day to install the new heat pump were GREAT! Now let me tell you I wouldn't want to go up in that attic but these guys did their work without a peep and acted like no matter what we were the most important people to them at that time. I was so impressed. Its hard to hire people and trust them based on a hand shake but I'll tell you what these people know their stuff. Brian made me feel very comfortable and I knew that night as I went to bed that his hand shake was enough to make me feel like I was in good hands, and I definately will.

Description of Work: I have served that the situation that I have complained about for which your company has performed mastic taping that cost me $1,080 and has not improved. In fact it has become worse. I have spent at least $10,000 with them between a new system and repairs. They have had to change the duct system and the condenser.

Description of Work: This was a standard maintenance service visit per a service agreement I had with this company. They were a new service provider for us and this was their second visit. I paid for a new filter.

Description of Work: I wanted a second opinion about a possible freon weak in the system as diagoned by another company. The other company also recommended that I replace the entire system. They said my system had lost 3 pounds of freon after they performed routine maintenace on the system 8 days earlier. My system had been working fine up to that point. I called U.S. Air Conditioning to see if they could look at my system and either confirm that the system had a leak or tell me what was really wrong with the system. They agreed to send out a tech to look at my problem on the same day that the first company defined my problem as a major freon leak and that I needed to replace the entire unit. Brian Montogomery, the tech for U.S. Air Conditioning actually arrive about 1 hour earlier than they promised. I described my situation to him. He clearly articulated what he would do as part of the service call. He outlined the possible problems that my system could have and the alternatives for each problem. He then proceeded to perform a complete inspection of the total system and described to me what he found after each step in the process. His final conclusion was that the system was low about 2 pounds of freon but that was because the first company failed to reinstall the end caps on the freon lines after he charged the system on the inial visit. Mr. Montgomery concluded that my system was functioning quite good, that there was no freon leak, and that my system did not need to be replaced. He charged the system as reommended and provided a discount for his services. About 2 weeks later I received a follow-up call from Mr. Montomery to see if everything was work properly. U.S. Air Conditioning was professional, on time, and provided a correct diagnosis of the problem the first time. I was extremely satisfied with their service and would not hesitate to call them again. They solved a simple problem that appeared to be a major problem with the first company.

Description of Work: I am so thankful to this company. I just flew in from Jersey only to get home and find that my out side unit had been stolen. Well with it being so hot, there was no way I was going with out air. I immediately started calling around for estimates on replacing the whole thing and wondering if could be installed today.. I found U.S. Air Conditioning to be the best priced and they were able to come out today to give me nice cold air, matter of fact those wonderful guys are still here finishing up the loose ends. I am going to recommend this company to all my friends and family, they are my Hero's.
