+ -1 moreOverall the job was fine, this was the second time we used there services, they were on time, polite, worked fast, and had everything loaded on the truck ready to move before we were ready, everything was unloaded and put were we wanted without complaint, even when I asked them to move a dresser to a different room and then put it back, they did it without complaint. We used there services 2 years earlier when we first moved to Florida and were very pleased with the cost, speed and quality of their work. The only problem we did have was moving a large wooden desk (in pieces) into one room, the hallway has oak floors and they scratched to floor and the wall when taking a door off the hinges to get the desk into the office. They offered to pay for the damages but we handled the repairs ourselves.
Description of Work: Moved everything we own from the house we rented in New Port Richey to our new home in Weeki Wachee. Everything we moved was treated with care, covered and protected, packed carefully in the truck, transported without incident, unloaded and put were requested, everything was done in a timely fashion with minimal damage.

+ -1 moreIt was fantastic! They were responsive, polite, and they never stopped working. They didn’t take a break and really worked hard to make sure they got as much in their truck as possible on each move. They made my elderly mother feel very comfortable with the move.

+ -1 moreI told them to be really careful with my bedroom set as it was only 2 mo. old. NO PROBLEM Ya, right! They damaged my dresser and mirror, chest and footboard for my bed. They damaged and soiled my bar stools. They put big scratches my desk (that was about 4mo).They damaged the paint on my patio set (that I had just paid to have resprayed). I called to complain so they sent someone out to repair the items. The desk looked terrible, the seats on the bar stools did come clean and they touched up paint. My brand new bedroom set was also touched with color but there were still chunks missing. I got no satisfaction. About a week later I noticed other things damaged but I didn't even bother to call back.

+ -1 moreConsidering the small number of large items (no small items) the price seems pretty excessive. I didn't have time to shop around. They charge per hour... from the time they love their place to the time they get back... and then they charge for gas on top of that. Having said that. If you want an insured mover that's prompt and professional, here ya go. Also, I believe their price would be ALOT more reasonable for those with a larger quantity of items.
Description of Work: They moved Fridge, Stove, Washer, Loveseat, dishwasher a distance of about 7 miles.

+ -1 moreUpdate 8/1/12: They sent me a check for $300.00 to make up for the broken jade pieces that they had damaged during the move. My daughter talked to Brian Knowles, the owner of Two Men and a Truck in the area, to resolve the situation. Grades are reflective of the update.
Description of Work: I used "Two men and a truck" 5801 state road 54 new port richey location owner Ryan J Knowles 727-847-6683, for my moving service. His men harnessed me for a tip repeatedly and in paying more attention to getting one from me, they improperly handled my personal items, some of which were irreplaceable items. I proceeded to contact Ryan the owner in the 96 hour frame, and was told they had no responsibility for the care of my boxes, because they were not professionally packed at an additional charge, by his company. I asked for him to reimburse me half of the moving expense, which was total of 600.00, I was requesting 300,00, which I felt was fair as just one of the broken items was valued at 1000.00. I was surprised that Ryan did nothing and simply ignored my request and is now forcing me to file a claim for suit in the courts. I am very disappointed at his response, as I have personally used "Two men and a truck" before, at a different location. They are individually franchised, it is a shame that this owner handles his company so poorly and I feel it very important to warn other people in advance. I will emphasize that I think as a whole "Two men and truck" as a company seem to be really good, but I would beware of the location 5801 state road 54 new port richey.

+ -1 moreThey were too expensive because I just needed one piece of furniture moved and they moved by the hour. They didn't come out. I think I had a picture of a hutch that needed to be moved and I sent it to them. They told me that it would be about $300.00 to move it. I just went and got somebody that was cheaper, a private individual, to move it. They were very accommodating and very pleasant. They just told me that it was going to cost me an awful lot of money just to move that one piece. There really wasn't much of interaction with them. I told them what I needed moved and they told me how much it was. That was the end of the conversation. It was from an upstairs and they had to come down a flight of stairs. I probably wouldn't have done it for under $300.00 either if I had to bring that huge thing down a flight of stairs. There was some travel involved. I didn't find it unreasonable, but I knew that I could get it done cheaper. It was all done over the computer. I didn't have any face time with them. It was all computer time. They were right on it. They were immediately on my questions answering them. It was a computer conversation so punctuality was not applicable. They were fine and as professional as they could be online.

Most other companies do not and offer only .60 per pound or make you pay additional fees for full coverage. This gave me peace of mind. They showed up on time and were very professional and courteous. They did not waste time milking the job and actually beat me to the move location since I had to stop at the bank on the way. They made sure everything was where I needed it before they left. The only complaint I have is minor, that I was not informed of an additional fee to move a spinet piano. The fee, however, was reasonable considering it had to be moved down a flight of stairs. Overall I would give them an A-. If not for the piano issue it would have been A+!

The movers arrived 15 minutes early & were very professional & helpful, even though I wasn't completely ready. They reviewed the entire situation & went to work immediately. They were very efficient & careful. The piano move was very difficult, necessitating the removal of 2 stairway banisters. They were awesome! Everything was done to quickly & carefully.
Description of Work: They moved several large, heavy pieces of furniture (including a piano) around my 3-story house. 3 sofas went from floor 3 to 1. 1 sofa went from 3 to 2. 1 sofa went from 2 to 3. Piano went from 2 to 1. Many other smaller pieces were also moved.

They did take apart a few things like entertainment units; etc. I spent around $525 for the job. They did the job very quickly and very efficiently. They were very cordial, polite and very friendly. + -1 moreThey did a really great job. They were very careful, and wrapped everything in clear wrap. They bundled everything in tarpaulins and pads, and I was very pleased with them. They were here when they said they would be here, and they did not stop working once they got here. They were particularly careful with my mother s possessions, and they did an absolutely excellent job. Their price was very reasonable they charged for the truck, mileage, and then charged by the hour, and they worked very hard to reduce the length of time to complete the job. Their prices were great for the work they did, and I was extremely happy with them. I already have plans to use them again.
