It worked out great
Description of Work: I prayed and emailed them and told them the problem I had. I am 64 years old, alone with arthritic hands. I had 1 very large old TV to get out of the house and to the dump. There was no way I could lift it. I just needed to get it into a truck and I would take it to the dump. They came by the next day. A gentleman said he would help me and take it away. He said I could give him whatever I chose as payment. I didn't need to give at all. I was thrilled. I gave him $30 anyway. It was worth it to me. He took it away and that was it.

I had boxes packed and they unpacked them and put them into their own boxes. I ended up having broken items. They left cigarette butts on my property and were not professional. They lost the sliders that went under my furniture twice and I had to go and find them for them. They trashed my house and I would not recommend them. Member Update: I accepted the offer of $900 and for them to straighten out the mess and I would not bring legal action for missing items. They did not follow through.

Response from Two Men & A Truck
Member filed complaint with State of Florida and Credit Card Company. On April 1st, both parties ruled in Two Men & A Truck's favor and that they handled the complaint in a satisfactory manner. Two Men & A Truck have offered to settle this dispute but have yet to hear from the member. On November 14th 2008, our estimator Michael Meadows provided the member with a free in-home estimate for his move. After observing the member's home, Michael estimated that the job would take approximately 7.5 hours. The total ESTIMATED charge was $855. Based on the information that Michael provided, the member scheduled his job for Saturday, November 29th, 2008. Before Michael left the home, he provided the member with our Residential Estimate Expense Sheet which explained the charges. The actual charge for the move ended up being $1,020, a difference of $165. This $165 difference resulted because the member was not completely prepared for the move. We are willing to refund the member this difference. On November 24th, 2008, I received a call from the member stating that he was tired and needed help packing prior to the move. Based on the information that I received about what he needed help packing, I gave him an estimate over the phone, for approximately 4 hours. The member was on a budget so he only wanted 4 hours of packing. He stated that he would do the rest of the packing himself. The ESTIMATED price to pack the member was $440 plus the cost of packing supplies. At that time the member scheduled his pack job for November 28th, 2008 with me over the phone. The actual charge for the pack job was $440 plus $80.95 in packing supplies for a total of $520.95. Our movers, Alan and Jerry performed the member's pack and move. Alan and Jerry are two very hard working and polite employees. I have never received any kind of negative feedback regarding either's work ethic. Jerry has been with our company for 3 years and Allen has been with us for 8 months. Our estimator did explain to the member during the in-home estimate that he would be responsible for removing the water line from the back of the refrigerator, prior to the move, if we were going to move the refrigerator. That has been a policy of Two Men And A Truck since we were established 17 years ago. We are extremely sorry that the member cut his thumb while trying to remove the water line with a knife. On Nov. 28th and Nov. 29th our movers took a total of 1/2 hour off the bill for their lunch and breaks. These times are noted on the Move Sheets. The member was not charged for this time. If the member would have called our office with this information, we would have resolved this matter. I spoke to the movers regarding this accusation and they confirmed that they did not take a 15 minute break each hour. The member did not hire us to unpack his boxes. If this were the case, the job would have taken another 4 hours. On Nov. 28th the movers were done with the pack job by 12:15 PM. We received no phone calls from the member stating that he was unhappy with our service. It is Two Men And A Truck policy that our men are responsible for their own damages. If our movers break something during a move, they are responsible for the charge for us to fix that item. We also provide our men with several bonuses to encourage them to have no damages. The member did not fill out a Damage Report and has yet to contact the office regarding any damages that occurred on his move. We would be 100%% willing to inspect the member's damages once he has paid his bill. Ryan Knowles-VP

Called Two men and a truck...got the day I wanted about a week away and an estimate of about 650.00. The two guys arrived right on time and began working. We were finished in about 4 1/2 hrs and nothing was damaged. The guys worked hard and we had no problems. They finished so fast that they saved me about 200.00 from the original estimate. Would use them again and highly recommend them.

IF I WAS PLANNING TO MOVE AGAIN I CERTAINLY WOULD USE THEM. THEY ARE GENERALLY POLITE AND EFFICIENT. THEY DIDN'T WASTE A LOT OF TIME. THEY GOT RIGHT TO IT, AND THEY GOT IT DONE. THEY WERE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT BUMPING WALLS AND WRAPPING ITEMS. THE TRUCKS WERE WELL PADDED.
