I have liked all the technicians that I have met. I am not happy that I thought I was getting a VERY efficient new ac unit, but come to find out, it is the minimum 14 seer that everyone installs. They installed the unit on June 18, 2017. My next energy bill was $296.00. The one I just got was $441.00 last year at this time, the thermostat was set to 73 degrees, in October 2016 I changed the setting to 78 degrees??? Since they installed the ac unit, I have had them out 4 times. The technician today told me that the thermostat was wired incorrectly, so whenever the ac came on, so did my 5kw emergency heat strip. I called the shop today and was told that the general manager would call me back today. that was 3 hours ago and the shop is now closed. I would expect some monetary compensation, but for starters a callback.

This company is very dishonest! They quoted one price and after service was provided the bill changed to almost Triple! THE OLD BAIT AND SWITCH. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Everyting Went Very Well !!!
Description of Work: I wanted to have our AC unit checked. The $54.95 special seemed like a good deal! Daniel was our service tech. He looked at the compressor which is on the roof of our 3 story condo. A few things needed tighenting but everything was okay. We had an new Air Handler installed two years ago. (The company is now out of business) From day one which were unaware of, the vent in the one bedroom was not blowing cold air. It is a rental condo so we go don't there that often. Daniel changed the air filter, and checked the vent he added some cardboard and tape. Which had the vent blowing 61'. We had that problem for two years. There was no addtional charge to fix the vent problem. We would use Seabee Air again!

I have had good experience. They are all veterans, and they do a great job. I pay the service in advance, and I do not remember the price. They done a great job. I can't say the price, because I haven't compared it with anybody. There was an mistake on the initial installation. They mis-measured. They didn't come back to fix it.

Seabee AC & Heat, is not a trustworthy company! We scheduled a General Maintenance - only with this company 6/2/17. The technician proceeded to tell my wife we had mold. This of course concerned my wife and she proceeded to call me on my cell phone. I asked to talk with the technician and he explained the issue and what it would cost. I knew this was a high price for this, but since I was not home I gave the technician the authority to install the unit needed to resolve the issue. When the work was finished the bill came to almost Double the quoted price. My wife asked; what did you do to raise the bill? The technician did not explain the bill and said you must pay this bill, he couldn't un-install the unit. He replied that this is what it cost. She felt intimidated by this guy and signed the paper. When I got home and saw the bill, I contacted the technician 6/2/17 about the cost of this bill. He said that's what it cost and that "This isn't Walmart". I told him this wasn't acceptable and he said to discuss this with the owner, Jeremy. I left a message for Jeremy about this bill (6/2/17 without a return call),I left a message (6/5/17 without a return call), I called back and (talked to Jeremy 6/12/17 and he said I will call you back in 15 Minutes) - he never did call back, (6/14/17 I called back and asked for Jeremy and he told the receptionist that he had my phone # and would call me back in 15 Minutes, he never returned the call). We will be disputing the credit card charges, "DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY"

Description of Work: Told us many things that were wring with our system. Said system could not be repaired.and that the breaker panel box had been hit by lightning. Suggested we replace one unit and air handlers to the cost of $6,900.00 to $7,200.00. Had a second opinion the next day. Company stated that both HVAC units were in very good working order, no lightning damage. Fuse in main breaker box needed to be upgraded to 50 watts from the current 25 watts. (This should have been done 2 yrs ago when they replaced our system). Had the fuse replaced and our HVAC units are purring like a charm.

He came out, checked out the a/c unit and told me all the things that are wrong with it and that it was out of freon and recommended that I get a new one. He told me about one that is about $8000, tried to talk me into getting it and even called his manager and said they can take off $1200. He told me that they would come right away and install a new one. I had another guy come out and look at it, and the gages showed that my freon was full. He said there is nothing wrong with my air conditioner.

I received an unsolicited phone call that reminded me that I had had the company do a seasonal check on my home A/C and heating system in the past and suggesting one the following day at a special rate of $49.95. I said yes. The telephone solicitor paused and said the technician could come this very afternoon within an hour, and I agreed to get the inspection done right away instead of waiting. She again assured me that her records showed the company had done such an inspection in the past and that the special prices would be $49.95. The technician came and seemed professional. He inspected various air handlers for the system in our single-family two-story house and outside, and took pictures with a digital camera of some details. He said some of the pictures showed I have "bacteria" in my ducts and pointed to a thin dark line along the edges of the inside of a duct. The bacteria will make us sick, he said. But he would install a $2,495 ultra-violet light system in a duct that would kill the bacteria. Then later, he said, for an additional fee, the company would clean out the debris. I saw no debris in picture he showed me. Then, In inspecting the outside portion of the unit, he showed me an electronic component that he said would soon fail and said he would replace it for another $200. For all these repairs, he said he could do them without charging me sales tax if i agreed for him to do them right away. I told him no. I would have to consider alternatives. And I said I would get back to his company with my decision. I asked to pay him by credit card, and he prepared a bill for $89.95, telling me that he was giving me a discount of $10 for the inspection. I said I the charge should be $49.95. He said, "Oh, no. You have two systems. One is downstairs, the other is upstairs. There's no way I can do this inspection for that amount." I told him to call his office and talk to his supervisor. He did and told me, "They say there's no way anybody could have told you it would be $49.95 for two systems." After some discussion, I told him to write out two bills, and I would pay him for one on a credit card, and the company could bill me for the other one -- which I would not pay, promising to talk to his boss. He could not remember his boss's last name, only "John." He wrote out two bills, now each for $49.95. I told him that totaled $10 more than he had said it would be. He said that there's no special deal if he doesn't take the whole amount at once. I paid one bill and told him to have his manager call me as soon as possible. No one called that afternoon. I called the number that the solicitation came in on. There was no answer. I called the number on his card, and at 4:30, a man said "John" had gone home, and he (the answerer) was a maintenance employee and the only one in the office. Seabee AC & Heat Inc. is running a scam. I still have not received a call from the company, and I intend not to pay any additional bills.
