I have been a SafeTouch customer for nearly 20 years. There service has always been 10+. I just called for service because a fire sensor is constantly chirping. The repair person said to remove the cover the see if it stops. It set the alarm off because it thinks the system is being tampered with. The first available appointment is not for another week. What happened to me being a “valued customer”? This is UNACCEPTABLE.

system worked fine for the first couple of years then began beeping non-stop. Went though their phone trouble shooting which didn't work and then scheduled a tech. First available appointment was 2 weeks later. When the tech came he "fixed" the problem and left. The beeping began again the very next day. Called them again and they insisted we had to wait ANOTHER 2 weeks for someone to come back. Finally got them to agree to come out in 1 week. Then the tech didn't show up.

We were ADT and Safe Touch is smaller. It is monitored more locally. I know that when we were with ADT, they have a service charge for everything like when they come out and service their equipment. Safe Touch does not do that. If you have an issue, you just call them. I think they maybe are in Florida and Georgia right now. They have been awesome, more personal, and easier to deal with than ADT or one of the bigger companies. I believe that they are less expensive.
Description of Work: For our alarm, we went with Safe Touch. We have an existing system so they just kind of updated it.

Description of Work: Signed up for this service for my home and office because it was considerably cheaper than the monitored system I had already. During the 48 hr period where I could cancel I investigated reviews online and decided this company was very IFFY and I called the morning of the install to cancel. I did not get a pressure phone call which is what I expected. Instead they were very professional and simply asked my reason for canceling. Also they mailed out the refund of my deposit within a reasonable period of time. As far as the way they handled themselves through the presentation and the cancelation I was satisfied.

Description of Work: Had a rep out to look at our home and discuss our options. We spent 45 min with him and he left to draw up an estimate. It was never sent. A week later their office calls to see if we are ready to sign up. We tell them we never received an estimate. They promise to send one. Still no estimate. 2 more weeks go buy and they call AGAIN to ask about if we are ready. I tell them we still haven't received an estimate and please stop calling

We looked through a couple of companies and Safe Touch Security Systems ended up being the best bid for us. That was a pretty positive experience. My parents in Orlando had used them. So, we included them when we got three proposals. We spent about $1700 for their services and it was prepaid for three years. Their pricing was very competitive. They were slightly cheaper than the next one. In terms of their competency, the salesman who came out knew what he was doing. We weren’t happy with the other companies based on the reviews we read on Angie’s List. So, we went with Safe Touch. They came out and worked around my schedule really well.
Description of Work: We used the services of Safe Touch Security Systems when we put in a security system about two months ago.

This is - without a doubt - the absolute worst alarm service I've ever used. Too bad Angie's List doesn't allow for a -F instead of just an F. Their staff is very poorly trained and very rude. Every time I've ever had to contact them, it's always a trial. I switched from ADT to these guys...what a bad, bad decision. I thought I would save money - which I did - because they are cheaper...but I guess I'm getting what I paid for. Cheap, cheap and more cheap. I signed a contract with them which states 3 years but there's another paragraph that says 5 years. I did notice this when I signed up with them and asked the rep to initial it with the correction I made. Also, I called them and was told "everyone gets a 3 year contract - don't worry about it." Well, 2 years later, I am now told that that is not correct - the rep never initialed it (as I was promised) - so I have to 'do business' with them for the 5 year term. Then, when asked to give them the emergency call order - and they made an error when calling us when the alarm sounded - I was told it was my fault that I didn't tell them to list the police AFTER they contact me. Isn't this their business? Shouldn't they have asked me that since they do this every day? Or perhaps clarified the call list at the time we created it? Am I supposed to be a mind reader? Funny - I never had ANY problems with ADT. No one told me that the police are called first unless I indicate otherwise. And, I get charged by the police ($75) because of this? Now, I'm moving and I'm told that I didn't buy my alarm system that it belongs to the building. This is also erroneous...I purchased the alarm system in 2000 and have the invoice! I used ADT for 10 years and very, very foolishly switched to this 'alarm company' to save money. Well, I ended up dealing with extremely rude, untrained, and unprofessional people...I guess I got what I'm paying for. If you choose this group - best of luck. Given my multiple experiences dealing with them, I don't believe it is a random issue. The entire group lacks direction, leadership and customer service skills. I own a business in Tampa and have for the past 12 years. My business also serves the public. It amazes me how companies like SafeTouch can provide substandard, bully service and stay in business. I would never treat any of my clients like they do.
