It was a terrible experience. We got them through the energy company through insurance. The serviceman was a bit of a wise*ss. They replaced a 42 gallon water heater with a 38 gallon hot water heater of lesser quality. It didn't fit right and every other d*mn thing. I got the energy company involved because I got no place with them. The energy company wanted to come out and inspect and we had sickness at that time so I didn't pursue it. The energy company was responsive. Kielty is reasonably large for this area and they didn't really give a d*mn. It was slip shod lesser quality material. I got them back and they did a 40 gallon but it is still a lesser quality water heater. My overall impression was very poor. They did replace it.

They did a decent job fixing the problem I had.

They did a good job and were quick to respond when i had no water.

The young man did a thorough job. We were pleased with the work he did. He informed us that our unit would be outdated in two years and would have to be replaced. They are coming soon to give us great priced service and a good quote on a new A/C unit.

It is a "specialty" faucet, and I had to order some parts from themanufacturer. When the parts came in, Kielty Plumbing returned and fixed the drip.

They were great, the price was good. August was excellent, professional, meticulous, and very personable. I highly recommend them!

I'll first start out by saying I had used this company in the past...when a water heater burst they were very responsive and did an excellent job, hence I gave them an 'A' rating and decided to use them again. But after this last work they did for me I would never use them in the future for any plumbing needs. I had problems with getting them to show up, on days and/or times scheduled...if it wasn't for the fact that I work at home 1/2 the time, I would've missed about 3 days of work due to them not showing up...and in some cases not even calling. The work itself, while functional, is very poorly done...the term that comes to mind is "hack job". I was told that once competed, I wouldn't be able to even tell the work was done...what a joke that turned out to be. In fact, the inspector indicated to me it was one of the worst jobs he'd seen, and would've failed them on the initial inspection if it was for the fact he told me that sometimes plumbing companies charge to fix failed items...really? I couldn't believe that. So instead he didn't pass the work initially, marked some things as deficient and not up to code, and they had to come out again...which took several days and one missed appointment...they finally showed up on a Saturday. They did correct the deficiencies, and also one major mess for one of the bathrooms (which they did want to charge me for, but ended up not charging me). But I'm still left with an overall unsatisfactory job. I'd also note that after the second visit, I NEVER got a call from the main office to ask about my satisfaction. UPDATE: They did come back, with a different plumber and fixed al the issues I had as well as they could. Things like holes in the back of my kitchen cabinets, that never should have happened, could not be fixed Another UPDATE 1/31/2016 - Had an electrician in my attic, where they rerouted the water lines, doing some work. He noticed that a main trunk line for the A/C is CRUSHED...right where the water lines came into the attic...hmm, coincidence...I don't think so. So now on top of their already shoddy work, I've got to spend MORE money to fix what they ruined with my A/C ducting. No telling how much money I've lost air conditioning my attic for the past 2 years. Also, the pipes are just laid all over the place loose...not even attached to rafters or joists way in the back where this issue is. The ONLY place they are attached to rafters is by the access...I guess since you can easily see it there...not expecting anyone to go way back in the attic. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Service Tech was very pleasant. He called ahead of time as he knew we had no stores close by. He even had me send a text photo of our old one so he was sure to bring the correct one. He had us back up in running in approx. 3 hours with no issues. He cleaned up everything and hauled it all away when he was done.

My current water heater died on Sunday (of course) so I went to Angie's List. I decided to call RJ Kielty since they have been around since the 70s. Now I know going into this that this is not the most economical approach to replacing a water heater but it certainly is the fastest and easiest way. I phoned their office and they said someone would be at my home between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.. They were here at 9:00 am. I showed them my issue and they worked up the price for an AO Smith, 50 gallon dual element electric water heater with a six year warranty. The price was $825.00. This included removing, replacing and taking the old one away. Had I replaced it a couple years ago knowing it was 13 years old then I could have taken longer and found a less expensive equivalent water heater and had it installed for less but it was my fault I had to react quickly to a failure instead of a preventive purchase. So the bottom line is they did a good job. It saved me from running around and buying one and transporting it. It saved me setting up an installation and probably a trip to the dump with the old one where I probably would have to pay to get rid of it. It was all done in one day and I had a functional new water heater so yeah, you have to pay extra for that kind of service and timeline to a reputable company.

We were treated poorly by a company with apparently little regard for their customers and some of the worst customer service I have experienced. My wife and I have 30 some reviews in Angie's List dating back to 2005. All were As and Bs. R. J. Kielty Plumbing will be the first F we have ever given to a company After one bad experience, when the Kielty plumber did not show at all, we actually gave the company a second chance. We had to contact them to point out the problem, but a manager called and offered a 20% discount. I would not want to condemn someone after one mistake...we all make mistakes. And then they did show for the second appointment, and the plumber was in fact helpful and on time. He was professional and prudently warned us that his repair might not last. We took the risk, with the intent of contacting Kielty again if the repair did not work. I was encouraged. So we sought them out a third time, when as the plumber suggested might happen, the repair failed. The next step called for a more complex repair. However, they utterly blew it again by not showing until hours afterwards the schedule and, just as before, only when we called the office. I acknowledge that delays may occur, but they didn't call to explain or inform until we called them. We received no apologies nor explanation for that failure and this time no call from a manager. At that point, when my we declined any further service and sought the services of another company that fixed the problem on the first try and at a lesser cost. My wife wasted nearly two days waiting for them, and in both cases she had to seek them out to determine what was going on. Unfortunate all around.

They only sent out 1 guy to do the work. They were hesitant to come out. I didn't see anybody for 3 or 4 weeks. They refused to complete the job until I told them that I would not pay them. They didnt prep for the job very well. They had to go to Lowe's and Home Depot to get materials to even do the job. They finally sent a supervisor out to finish the job up.

We didn't quite know what was wrong but knew there was low flow and leaking from the shower. The representative came out in the window we were told they would and corrected the problem in a very short amount of time. Price was very fair. Plumber was knowledgeable and courteous. We will use R J Kielty again.

He did not repair/replace any thing today.

Chris kept us informed on his progress throughout the day prior to arriving Saturday evening. He was polite and knowledgeable. He wore protective blue boots when working in the house. Very happy with the service and professionalism. Will definitely use Kielty again for my plumbing needs! Thank you for providing needed service at all hours on nights and on weekends for reasonable price.

It was Saturday night and they were able to get out there to make things working again. The price was good and it was a pleasant experience.

When I called they responded immediately with a time and was finished within a couple of hours from the time I called. They answered all my questions to my satisfaction and were very courteous.

My house is 22 years old. They were expensive. The guy was nice, he is a gentleman and honest. I liked him. As a matter of fact he told me that the heater that I had, that company went out of business because the stuff they made were so good because that lasted me 22 years. The new ones may last to 15 years if you are lucky. In all fairness to them I did not expect their price to be cheap. It is an expensive item. I will use them again.

It was done under warranty since it's hooked up on Progress Energy. The biggest problem that we had was that the water heater was at a location that was aside a washer and dryer and it wasn't accessible. I'm sure it's for the company's protection, but they refused to move the washer and the dryer to get to the water heater without paying them a $50 fee because they said we might think that they damaged it. They weren't too friendly about that. Other than that, it was good.

We were having problems with our water pump turning on and off every few minutes, even when no water was being used. We called another provider listed on your site, and that we had used before. Their Service call to check the problem was $75.00 and was to be taken off the bill if we used them. We had called Kielty about other problems in the past, but had not used them. We called them, again, for this problem because I feel they are a quality company. They did not have a Service charge and came out the same day to diagnosis the problem. We discussed our concerns with Jesse and another gentleman. We were given several suggestions and prices. We weren't certain if we were going with the water softener option because it was so much more expensive. The water softener would solve our iron problem and that's the option we chose. I notified Jesse when we were ready to do the job and he said he would place the order. I checked with him early in the week to make certain we had a date booked for installation. He said I should have been called, but that he would be out on Wednesday morning. He arrived around 9 a.m. and set to work. He answered any questions or concerns we had and kept at his job. He took all the old equipment and pipes with him and even pulled some weeds that were in the way! The area had never been so clean. He was able to put all the equipment in the garage so we no longer have any tanks or ugly pipes on the side of our home. A neighbor stopped by because Jesse had done his job last year. He was having a problem and Jesse told him he would be back on Thursday for his problem. I saw the truck going down our street today. I was so happy to finally be able to use R.J.Kielty for this problem. I feel that I don't have to worry about the quality of our well water anymore since I drink so much water every day. We were advised to expect an improvement within a week since the salt will have to soften the iron deposits on the inside of our pipes. We will be looking into a new A/C unit soon and Kielty will be our first call.

Less then 1 hour response time, after hour's. work was done about 8:30pm Monday nite. Main drain was clogged from the house to the street. they cleared the drain. Outstanding job Serviceman Chris did a very nice Job very clean and thorough. YES will call again

Did not hire. The person they sent didn't know that all it needed was a washer. Hired another . I needed to have the water line that went from the wall to the toilet connected.

We recently moved to Tarpon Springs, Fl and needed some plumbing work. With so many names in the phone book we signed up to join Angie's List and selected R.J. Kielty Plumbing. The Plumber Jimmy came the next day and did a great job. Jimmy showed me where the main water valve was in case of emergency, Jimmy also knew exactly what was wrong with the hot water heater and showed me how to check for leaks in the shower heads. He inspected both showers for free and was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. When I explained that I could only take half a shower and the water turned cold , Jimmy knew right away what the problem was and had the part on the truck to do the repair that day. Jimmy also gave me cost estimates for changing the faucet in the bathroom and shared some inexpensive options to consider. I definitely would recommend R J Kielty Plumbing and their Plumber Jimmy!

Without a hitch. They even helped find our house's sewage trap outside. Keith, our service tech, was professional, courteous and protected our home using shoe covers and mats to ensure no problems were left behind. I highly recommend Kielty and will certainly use them in the future.

Woke up to a puddle in the kitchen,saw it was the sink that was leaking.Went to Angie's List and chose R.J.Kielty because of the customer reviews.I called the company and was told someone will be out within 2 hours.Dave was early,he ckecked the problem and quoted me a price and proceeded to fix the link.I am 100% satisfied with the work and with the company.

AFTER A MINOR SCHEDULING PROBLEM AND SINCE WE NEEDED A PLUGGED TOILET FIXTED TODAY... STEVE K ARRIVED AFTER SUPPER AND UNPLUGGED THE TOILET WITH A PLUNGER. I WAS EMBARASED AS WE TRIED TO TO THIS AT LEAST 20 TIMES BEFORE CALLING FOR HELP. AS A COURTESY....THERE WAS NO CHARGE...... THANK YOU STEVE....THIS WAS ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY... THERE ARE STILL GOOD PEOPLE LEFT IN THE WORLD.
