$289.00 after my girlfriend got me a $40 discount. That price is insane. The house is 2 years old and has been snaked 3 times. 3 times the water has been shut down in the house completely due to a blockage in the drain pipe outside. Today, the downstairs toilet overflowed from the washing machine upstairs and flooded the downstairs entry way. Per Midway Services (they snaked and scoped it a few months ago), the blockage is construction debree. I had to call Midway because Kielty forgot to make me an appointment. A few months ago I could not use the water in the house at all. I called Kielty on Saturday and they were already booked but I was promised an appointment on Monday. I called Sunday and reminded them to make me an appointment on Monday. I called Monday morning at 9:00am and they said they haven't finished their appointments yet. I called again at 10:00am and they said I was forgotten and they were already booked. So I called Midway Services. They came right out, did a great job and were a lot cheaper. Kielty plumbing is coming back out next week to determine the blockage with a scope. Wonder what that will cost to scope and to fix the problem. So, more to come with this issue. By the way, Kielty plumbing did the all the plumbing in the house during construction. The house was built by Costa Homes, I give them an F too. My tile is falling apart in the master bath. Can't get Costa to fix it. Guess I'll eat that cost too.

I did not use them because I thought it was unfair to charge $180.00 for 15 minutes of work.

After attempting to repair the RO leak ourselves, we call Kielty. Everything was performed within 90 mins.

First - easy after hours scheduling for appointments. Saturdays are not considered emergency dates. Second--George, the service tech, called first thing to let me know about what time to expect him. Honestly, I had second thoughts about Kielty after discussing the cost of repairs with George, and canceled his appointment. Then I made a few more calls to other plumbers in the area and realized Kielty's cost was pretty much the standard. So...I called George back, and asked if it was too late for him to still come replace my water heater. He was very nice, said sure, he could be there within half an hour and had the unit we needed on his truck. Within about 1 1/2 hours, the old heater was out, the new one was in, and all the mess from the repair work was cleaned up. I can't say enough about how much we appreciate George and his professionalism. We have used RJ Kielty before and definitely will use them again if another plumbing problem comes up.

Was told to expect him between 1:00 and 4:00. Arrived close to 1:00, but did not call when he was on the way.. Professional plumber who worked quickly and efficiently. Photographed the work upon completion. He did not cut off the bolts on the base before he left, but we said it was okay, that we'd do that ourselves. It turned out to be harder for us to do ourselves than we anticipated. I will continue to use this company.

Work went smoothly. The sink had to be removed from the wall to access the base of the old faucet in order to remove it. The trap had to be disconnected. It was more than I wanted to do myself.

We used a company called Home Serve that Duke Energy offers for coverage for hot water tanks. Home Serve sent us R.J. Kielty Plumbing out who sent a crappy tech who smokes the entire time leaving cigarette butts all over the lawn. Don't ever use the tech Chris...he smokes and then comes in the house and stands around trying to catch his breath. Took him 12 hours to put a water heater in. Then when he was done I had no water pressure. He then spent more time trying to figure that out. I called to complain and Chris had a fit. I was very uncomfortable because I was alone. My husband had to leave for work. The company refuses to take any responsibility because Chris hooked up a 21 amp water heater to a 20 amp fuse causing our fuse to trip every time we use hot water. To make matters worse after Chris left my bath tub faucet had no pressure. We had to call and have another tech out. That tech had to take the faucet apart to get all the sand out of the line that Chris left since his whole job was a sloppy mess. The second tech leaves and sure as anything when my son went to take a shower the faucet comes apart and busts because it wasn't put back in right. The company refused to fix it. We then had to go buy a faucet. Put faucet in only to find out that the pipe line leaks a major amount of water!! Our floor is getting wet and water is rushing under the house if we put water on! They refuse to back up the work because we use Home serve through Duke energy for coverage...BUT THE PIPE WORK WAS NOT COVERED AND WE PAID OUT OF POCKET FOR THAT. YET THIS COMPANY WILL NOT FIX IT!!! When the electrician came out and told us that the reason the hot water fuse keeps popping is because the hot water tank is a 21 amp and the our fuses amps are 20 and I called the R.J. Kielty they will not get on the phone because they said I need to deal with Home serve who I am covered by. So now that I paid out of pocket for the electrician come in so I can have hot water...I still can't run my water because no one has been here to fix the pipe because Home Serve is having to try to work with R.J. Kielty who refuses to fix their techs mistakes. On top of it all ...the tech Chris also did not pin the wires back and did not have the metal panel piece screwed on to hold the wires back. Our electrician found the panel and one screw on the floor and the wires hanging out all over the place. For 4 days I have had to run outside put my water on just to flush my toilets, fill up bottles of water and wash up etc. before too much water get leaks and messes up my floors. I do not understand a company who does not back up their work. I called and complained when Chris was here and the next morning yet they refuse to fix this sloppy, unqualified techs work because it will cost them money to send someone else out to fix the problem that Chris caused. Now I am waiting for Home Serve to hopefully figure out who is going to fix my pipe. I pay for the coverage to have my hot water heater fixed or replaced in case of an issue, I paid extra for the piping and yet at least before R.J. Kielty came out I had a faucet that worked , piping that worked, a fuse that never popped and cold water. ...so I guess asking for hot water was too much because now that they came out ...I have an extremely leaky pipe to the point that I cannot leave my water on, a fuse that pops every five minutes if the hot water is on(so I had to pay an electrician to fix), and had to buy a new faucet. I think I was better off just having cold water and skipped all this extra trouble and money for a company who comes in and milks Home Serves insurance money and then refuses to come fix their mistakes!!

We called RJ Kielty because in the past they were instrumental in helping us solve a persistent problem with our kitchen sink when they discovered we had not one but two septic tanks and one had failed, this was in 2010. In 2013 after a kitchen renovation we began experiencing problems with the kitchen sink again. We had another plumber (less experienced, less priceyr come out and snake out the drain and within weeks it was clogged again. I was worried we had a structural problem with the drain so I called Kielty plumbing to see what they could do. Boy was I sorry I ever called the other plumber. Yes I had to pay more but the experience was worth it. Keith arrived within the time frame we agreed to. He listened to our concerns and to the information we could give him about how our house was plumbed a little differently than one might expect. Then he set about investigating the issue to confirm what we had told him and was able to give us two options for treatment and their price. We decided to let him snake out the line but instead of doing it in my white kitchen he went on the roof (thank you Keith) and did it from there. The drain is unclogged and running fine now. I know this time if it clogs we will have to have the drain videoed and how much it will cost. he also took the time to look at another plumbing problem so I know this is something he can fix for me in the future. I felt the service was professional, respectful and worth the extra cost and I will certainly use them again.

I had ordered the water heater and plumbing checks (about $71), which was paid immediately in order to take advantage of a discount. about mid-August, but never heard from the plumber. About seven weeks later I went onto Angie's List to find a plumber to determine why water flow was being impeded in my toilet and bathroom sink. It was difficult for me to understand why the water only trickled at these two locations, but seemed to flow normally throughout the rest of the house. As I signed onto Angie's List, there was a request for feedback on the water heater service that I hadn't received. It was then that I realized that I hadn't received a response from the plumber. I called and explained the situation; they found my order and stated that they'd attempted to contact me by email, but received no response. I thought I'd included my phone number on the order, but was told that the order included only an email response option. At any rate, they came out within 90 minutes of my call; accomplished the drainage of the water heater, diagnosed my water flow problem (water softener tank had gone bust and was releasing particles in the lines, which resulted in the toilet flow valve being clogged and the sink being reduced to a trickle. Bill Alexander, is truly an expert at what he does. Overall, I think the company does excellent work. In the future, however, I'd recommend a follow up by snail mail if the customer does not respond to email within a reasonable time.

They were awesome and great communicators, keeping us informed of our appointment along with letting us know when their repairman was going to arrive. Upon their arrival, my husband met with August and he resolved our plumbing issue along with replacing some water hose spickets upon my husbands request. We couldn't be more pleased and will definitely keep them in mind for future work!

Excellent work completed. Very prompt and I will use this company again. The plumber came in checked out the situation and completely fixed our plumbing problems. Make sure you call this company for quality work.

They replaced a malfunctioning part in the outside condensing unit. Later we continued to have problems with the unit running all the time but not cooling the house. They came back 3 times, at no charge, until it was working to spec. The guys were very courteous and always explained what they had done, checked and found. In the previous 4 years we had tried 3 other AC companies before Kielty and they were rip-offs who just wanted to do repairs that we didn't need or install mold lights for $800. We have a 6 year old Trane system and Kielty told us it was in excellent condition and the major parts were still under warranty. They inspected for mold that the other companies insisted we had and they couldn't find any.

R.J. Kielty was one of three plumbing companies I got quotes from to swap out my bad electric tank less water heater (after it went bad) with a brand new one of the same make and mode (I purchased the new water heater myself from Amazon.com). Red Cap asked for $700+ and the other company (can't recall the company name...but I don't care now) wanted $500+...just to swap it out. This was seriously a 15 minute job! The R.J. Keilty tech came out and quoted me $292 to swap it out. Not only that, I asked for a service value to be installed and took the service plan they offered. The total came to $521. This is my plumbing company for now on.

I don't use the Angie's list coupons to select providers because it always seemed like I didn't wind up saving any money and maybe paid more in the end. So I usually call the A rated providers, get estimates and go with the lowest cost from an A rated business. And that's what I did this time. The plumber got to my home on time. He was professional, easy to talk to. He took a look inside my 12 year water heater and said it was in good shape, no rust and offered a lower cost option of replacing all the key components with quality parts. He gave me an estimate of $290. So instead of paying $800 for a new water heater my final bill was $256 for rebuilding mine. He also helped me with a completely unrelated plumbing issue at no cost.

The service tech came and performed the inspection, recommended replacing the elements in our hot water heater because it wasn't working properly, and within an hour, we had hot water again! Highly recommend. Very courteous, professional, on time. He also gave us a quote for a whole house water softener/purifier while he was here, which we are very interested in.

I had received the part from Moen for the tub repair so the plumber just took out the old & put in the new one. He did this quickly as he had the correct part with him. The bathroom sink repair he had the part with him to replace the stopper. Again, he worked quickly & did not take much time. The plumber was knowledgeable, polite & efficient. I thought that $260 was excessive for the plumber's time & one small part as I provided him with the replaceable cartridge. He gave me an estimate for replacing the tub & redoing the tub area. I would definitely use Kielty again as the repairs were done well with no problems as to date. I have had Kielty do work in the past & always have been impressed with his service & knowledgeable employees.

The plumber sent claimed he did not want the job and would rather the original plumber return to finish the work. However, the other plumber replaced some cast iron completely separate from the galvanized in question. I tried to explain that to the provider but it was clear that he just wasn't interested in going into the crawl space and doing the work. Maybe they are good for easy plumbing jobs but if you have anything atypical I would not recommend calling them.

Keith was very professional and knowledgeable. I have used RJ Kielty 17+ years and I am always satisfied with their work.

I have used them twice. I used them when I first got my house. I thought they were prompt and everything, but I thought they over charged. I thought the charge was high but, I don't really know. They were recommended to me by a couple of people that had used them. They did the water heater, they were prompt and left everything clean. I didn't have any issue with the water heater installation, but I did with the sink. I just thought the price was outrageous. I was going to get my own water heater because, they didn't have the brand that I wanted and the price was exactly the same than if I had bought the water heater and had them install it. This was my first time taking care of the house by myself, my husband used to do it. I am on a budget. They were available and came when they were supposed to. They were clean and did everything correctly. He tightened the faucet to tight, so it doesn't swivel too well. That's not a big deal. The cost was terrible and the quality of work was good. This is an old house. They got back to me right away and I'm happy with their service. I'm just shocked about the price. I don't know if I would use them again.

They are very prompt. If you call them, there they are. You don't have to wait around. They are very clean, courteous. They don't make a mess.

He came by on a Sunday and quoted me over the phone and he said he would have to drill the wall. He was only here for an hour and 15 minutes and he found another leak in the slab and had to jackhammer a 1 1/2 foot hole on the ground. He repaired only one hole on the garage and left the bag for us to replace the hole on the wall.

We woke on a Sunday morning with no water pressure. Having a well-system meant no water. We didn't feel it was an emergency situation since we had a pool full of water and large buckets. On Monday we stopped by Kielty's Hudson office to discuss our problem. Having used them for over $10,000.00 worth of work last year, there was no discussion as to whom we would use. They were able to come out that afternoon, but we had other appointments and arranged for a service call on Tuesday. Bill, the plumber called on Tuesday morning and said he could be there earlier than scheduled. He arrived, discussed our problem and several solutions. Not the cheapest, but the better idea was to put in a whole new pump and motor. This is our 4th one in the ten years we have lived here. We had always replaced the broken motor with the same size that had broken. Seems it was more than we needed. Perhaps that has been the problem. Bill had to go back to the shop to get the pump and when he returned he finished in a timely and professional manner. He didn't even seem to mind my husband standing around watching. All the people that we have dealt with at Kielty are very personable and Bill explained a thing or two to my husband about the water system we had them install last year and answered some questions we had. I don't know how many more things can break here that would need their assistance, but we will call them.

My AC shorted out on Thursday evening and I called R.J Kielty when they opened the next day. Steve called me within an hour and was able to be at my house within 30 minutes. He presented several options and listed the pros and cons of everything. Once I confirmed a few things with my wife, everything was ordered and the job started 1.5hrs later. In total, the job took about 6 hours. The technicians, Rob and I think Mike were very friendly and answered any questions that I had. They installed a high efficiency 15 seer Armana unit with programmable thermostat. I'm very appreciative of their level of service and attention to detail. This showed when installing the programmable thermostat, they put caulk behind the thermostat because it can lead to misreadings of the temps because air gets to the device through the wall. Great attention to detail and shows they care about the customer. They even honored the rebate the power company gives even though the install had already been performed. They really care about the customer and it shows from the management level down to the technicians. Thank you so much R.J Kielty.

Matt was such a hard worker. He had to unhook the hot water heater, move the hot water heater in order to access the wall behind the heater in order to do the repairs. Because the leak was in the middle pipe of three connected pipes (manifold) he had to make a new pipe out of copper. He sprayed water into the area as he was going to sodder the joints together with a blow torch. He was able to secure the leak with this method. I didn't watch everything, as I felt I was in good hands. He did let me know however because of the positioning of the leak as the bottom, if his method did not hold and leaking was detected, he would have to return and go into the cement floor and repair from the bottom up. Matt was here for 4 1/2 hours working steadily. I was very impressed with his knowledge and his work ethic. I would not hesitate to have him here again for any plumbing venture and do not hesitate to recommend him and Kielty Plumbing. I actually selected Kielty Plumbing based upon a recommendation of a friend of mine who also had a leak in her garage. So Bravo Kielty Plumbing!
