Reliable Appliance Repair

I called for dryer repair service as my dryer over heats and blows the fuse. The repair man said my vent is clogged and that is why is over heats. I told him I just cleaned it myself but he didn't have any other explanation. Even though I didn't think this was the problem, I hired another company to clean the dryer vent which cost me $95. This company told me the dryer vent was clean. Basically I paid $70 for Reliable Appliance Repair to come and tell me wrong information which ended up costing me more money spent on another company for no reason. If you can't diagnose my problem correctly I would expect some money back for the service call right?

I called shortly after 8:00 on a Monday morning. The technician was at my home within an hour and the problem repaired in less than an hour. The control board failed. It was a $200 part. The entire bill was just over $300. I thought it was reasonable and was very pleased with the service provided. I will use again and recommend to my friends.

They arrived within hours of calling them; very responsive. Not only did they fix the dryer heating element but they noticed that the cause of the problem was too much lint built up in the vent. They cleaned out the vent fully and completely as well as replacing the heating unit. They charged a very fair price for their work. I highly recommend them.

They were able to repair the drip and fridge continues to work great.

It went great as always. I have used their services for several years and every time they come by they are honest and very helpful. Bud showed us a simple fix for the disposal and showed us how to fix it ourselves if it ever happens again. I highly recommend them. They are the greatest.

It went great. First, the repairman knew what he was doing. He immediately found the problem and had a plan to fix it fast. He very creatively found a solution that would resolve our problem most economically. He was also right on time. You can't beat this repair company.

Reliable Appliance Repair did an excellent job in responding to an emergency situation with our washer/dryer. We were moving in a couple of days and the W/D stop working. I emailed my request for service and got a call from Bernadette the next morning. She scheduled us for first thing the next day. Fearing a big bill and multi service call, as encountered with another appliance service, I was pleasantly surprised when the tech found only a loose cable and repaired it immediately. The cost was very reasonable and the service supreme.

contacted company after hours. They immediately contacted me back. Scheduled an appointment for the following day. They arrived 10 minutes early. Came right in and addressed the problem and cleaned coils to fringe. Already recommended to family. Would use again.

.Jim called to confirm his 10:00am service call, arrived on time and was very professional. When he diagnosed a problem that would be more expensive to repair on my 11 year old washer that it was worth he recommended that I replace it. The charge for the service call was a very reasonable $40.00 I'm sure I will call Reliable Appliance Repair for all my future appliance needs

He told me that it was my transmission and to just let it continue to work until I started seeing a puddle of water on the floor. So, in other words, just leave it alone because the new parts would cost close to buying a new washer. He said that it could last another year or longer. So, I am following his advice and just going to use it until it no longer works. At that time, I'll shop for a new washing machine. I was very happy with his promptness as well. I was told he would be at my house between 11am-Noon and he showed up at 11:20am. I called on a Monday and he was able to arrive the following day. Very nice guy and very knowledgeable on washing machines, even giving me recommendations on which brands required less maintenance. Thank you for a positive experience and I'll definitely recommend you guys!

He did a fine job. He was extremely prompt and courteous. He did everything that you could possibly want in a repair service and I will certainly use him again.

Bernadette was friendly and professional throughout it all. She ordered the part and scheduled the repair the same day the part came in. The bonus with the installation was advice on how to keep the washer in good shape. Thanks! There must have been some water remaining in the washer after the repair as there was some water on the floor after the first load but thereafter it was totally dry. No more leaks!

This is the second time we have called Reliable and the second time they could not fix the problem. Several months ago we called them to fix a burner in our flat top stove. Bud stated it needs a new switch and he could not get one (no service charge). This time our dishwasher stop filling with water and he reported the motor was bad (dishwasher only 5 years old). Not worth fixing. This company has good communication and is responsive... I'm hoping one day they will actually be able to fix the problem with my appliances. I selected quality as NA because no actual work was done to repair anything.

Bud did much more than just fix the ice maker. He showed me how to remove built up calcium / lime stains on the ice maker dish, did some maintenance to the refrigerator door gaskets, and checked the drier vent and verified it is clear. His work was honest, professional, timely, priced fairly and of very high quality. I will definitely use this business in the future.

Bud came to our home. He was early. He's very professional and reliable. He's very social in his network. Gave advise to even fix my washer myself...I took it, fixed it, and it's working better.

The repair man arrived about fifteen minutes early. He spent about twenty minutes checking things out. He stated that everything was OK, but the fan in the freezer seams to be blowing less air than it should. He said the freezer fan blows the air to the lower part of the refrigerator. He checked and did not have a replacement in his truck. He stated that most Maytag's have a smaller fan than this one. This one was much larger than most he has worked on. I asked him how much a new fan would cost and how sure was he that it was the problem. He said it was $49.99 and he was 99% sure it was the problem. I told him to go ahead and order it. A lady called three days later, said it was in, and wanted to schedule a appointment. He arrived two hours later and installed it. I noticed the difference right away. You could not hear the old fan run, but the new one was quite loud with the door open. I paid and he left. A couple of hours later, everything was back to normal. The refrigerator works as well as when it was new. The total bill was $143.50, which I thought was a little high, but he did make two trips to my house. All said and done, I was very satisfied. A new replacement refrigerator would have been about a $1000.00.

Both the technician and person I scheduled the repair with were pleasant and professional.

I called Reliable Appliance Repair on Thursday (1/2/14) afternoon. They were able to send a technician to my house the next afternoon. Jim (Sr. Technician) arrived on time; was very polite; and got right to work. Within a half hour, he had diagnosed the problem and given me the bad news that my 5 year old machine needed a new transmission to the tune of $500 or more. He told me straight out the machine was not worth the repair - he didn't try to talk me into this expensive repair (although it would have meant a big invoice on their part, because the repair would have required a lot of labor). In all, the repair tech was at my house for close to an hour and the charge was only $40. I can't remember the last time a service call was that inexpensive for any appliance repair. I would definite use Reliable Appliance Repair again and recommend them to our friends. No wonder they have such a high rating with Angie's List.

That is all I have to say.. I would not recommend them. I had to call another appliance company to repair both appliances.
