Pasco Window & Door is simply THE BEST! We wish we could give them 10 stars! We had shutters installed on all our windows, on our stilt home. This job was not the easiest, with all the obstacles they had, and the odd shaped windows; they made it seem like a piece of cake. They honestly could not have sent us a better crew: Carl, Mark Jr., George, Jordan, Austin, Donte, Dan, Rob, and Johnny; these guys were all more than courteous, polite, they cleaned up after each step of the process, treating our home as it were their own. If we ever have any other window or door project, they will most definitely be the company we call!

Deceptive and incompetent. IMO, Absolutely nothing Pasco Window and Doors says - Andrea Scura specifically - can be trusted, neither can their contract. We contracted with them for 5 windows and doors, 4, yes 4, had to be repaired or replaced because Pasco Window and Door doesn’t inspect the product they buy and install. What’s worse is they knew at least two of the products had huge scratches in them and installed them anyway. As if that wasn’t enough Chris and Andrea then claimed it was PGTs fault for producing a product that was inferior…despite blasting how they only install top quality PGT windows. Because they claim it is a “warranty issue” you have to deal directly with PGT. Of course PWD doesn’t disclose any of this up front and it isn’t mentioned anywhere in the contract. It is a disgusting business practice, but after dealing with Andrea, I would expect nothing less. Had we spoken to her first we never would have contracted with them. As an aside, Thank God PGT is an honest company with competent people. You can trust them, but not Pasco Window and Door.

Fantastic, my wife and I stopped at Pw&D to discuss out problem with our windows. They sent us home with two different colors of vinyl to choose from. We made our choice and the next day I took them eight windows which they replaced the vinyl in and called me the next day and said they were ready to be picked up. What more can I say? The conversation about the problem was good, the service was great, the workmanship perfect, and the price was fair and each employee treated us with patience and respect. We will always go back to them for any future needs.

I am 72 years old. I have lived in six states as an adult. I have owned six homes, a dozen automobiles, five motorcycles, and countless other possessions that require service. I have seen my share of bad service but I can honestly say I have never dealt with a service company as incompetent as Pasco Window and Door. I needed two problems corrected. One window had a broken pane and none of our 12 windows would stay up when raised. Pasco Window and Door was highly rated on Angie’s List. In hindsight the fact that they were highly rated leads me to question just how effective Angie’s List really is. I called on 10/16/20 and arranged for an appointment and estimate on 10/21/20. On 10/21/20 Herschel was dispatched. He measured for glass to replace the broken pane and explained that new balancers were required to hold the windows up. He said that both the glass and balancers would have to be ordered. He gave me a price and created job order 89091 and I paid a deposit. Weeks passed. I made 3 or 4 phone calls, usually speaking to Joe. During various calls I was told that the balancers were ordered and received quickly, but the glass took longer. No one called to schedule a service appointment. I kept calling until Joe told me the glass had been received and scheduled a service appointment for 11/23/20. On 11/23/20 Matt arrived to complete the service, but there were, as I understood from him, three problems with the balancers. The windows are of varying sizes and weights. Herschel had not requested the right balancers for some of the windows. A total 22 balancers were ordered. Twelve windows use 24 balancers. Some sort of prep of the balancers had not been performed correctly at the shop before they were given to Matt for installation. Matt installed balancers in 5 of the 12 windows and made a list of the balancers for the remaining windows to be ordered. He did not repair the broken window. Instead he left the glass on his truck to be installed when he came back. Afterward, I continued to follow up by phone. No one called me. On the next call I made after the new balancers were received I spoke to Joe who made the next service appointment for the morning of 12/15/20. On 12/15/20 no one came in the morning. In the early afternoon I received a call from Javier. He had been given the balancers and dispatched. But when he looked at my job order, he saw that there was a broken window to be repaired, and asked me if I had the glass. I explained that Matt took the glass back with him on 11/23. Javier said he would check with the office but he did not call back and did not show up the rest of the day. I called later in the afternoon and Joe told me that Javier had gone on to his next appointment and that they would find the glass for my window and reschedule. Again I waited and again no one called me. It took at least 3 more phone calls from me before the glass was found and I was able to schedule the next service appointment for 1/25/21. Note that 1/25/21 is about six weeks after 12/15/20 and nothing had to be ordered. On 1/25/21 Matt and another employee arrived, replaced the broken window pane, and installed new balancers in the remaining 7 windows. I checked and all the windows seemed to be repaired. I paid the balance of the bill and they left. Six days later, the two heaviest windows in the house would no longer stay up when raised. I called and spoke to Joe, hoping that he could just order the right balancers, but instead he set up another service call to investigate. I did not record the exact date of that next appointment, but it was around 2/10/21. On approximately 2/10/21, Javier was dispatched and deduced to no one’s surprise that the two windows needed stronger balancers. He told me that he would get the balancers and come back to install them. He assured me that the repair was under warranty. It was good to know that a failure after six days was covered by their warranty. Again no one called for a couple of weeks so I called and spoke to Joe who looked at my file and found a note from Javier that Joe was not able to decipher. He said no balancers had been ordered, so he asked me what balancers I needed. I completely lost my temper. I could not let the ridiculousness of the situation go unchallenged. At his insistence their employee had made a site visit and determined what was needed and yet they had not ordered the parts. Why was he now asking me what to order? Joe promised that he would get the information from Javier, order the balancers, and call me back. He did not call back. On 3/5/21 I called again. Joe told me he expected the balancers to come in that day and that when they did he would call me to set up the installation. He did not call back. On 3/12/21 I called again. Joe told me the balancers were there and the earliest date he could give me for installation was 3/30/21. On 3/26/21 while I was out for a bicycle ride without my phone, Javier called and left a voice message that he was on his way. When I arrived home and found the message he had apparently come and gone. I called and spoke to Tanya who said I was scheduled for 3/26, not 3/30, and she would see if she could “squeeze me in” on 3/30. I told her I am quite certain Joe told me that the service call was scheduled for 3/30. By that time I was keeping a running list of service appointment dates on the original work order. On 3/30/21 I called mid-morning and spoke with Tanya. I asked her if there would be a service call that day. She told me that Javier would arrive later in the afternoon. About an hour later she called back and said that Javier would not be coming because they needed to order the parts. She attempted to end the call quickly but I insisted on an explanation since the balancers were supposedly ordered and received by 3/12. She theorized that they were mixed up with another customer’s order but was not sure. I held my temper and asked her to call me when the replacement parts for the lost replacement parts for the failed replacement parts were received. She said she would call. Tanya called on 4/8/21 and scheduled installation for the next day between 8 and 12. From the date if my first call, it took 174 days for Pasco Window and Door to complete the service. In that length of time I could have had a new home built from the ground up. Pasco Window and Door employees were dispatched to my home eight times, twice not actually getting here because they realized they were sent out without the repair parts, and once coming on the wrong date when I was not home. I made more phone calls than I can possibly remember trying to get the repairs completed. The word “completed” implies that the windows that were repaired would actually stay that way for a reasonable period of time, but they have not. It is now January 12, 2022 and the balancers for the largest window is already failing such that the window won’t stay up. My advice is to call someone else for window service. These guys are spectacularly incompetent.

I can't begin to describe how awe full this company is. Called back in August to get a window repaired they sent out some incompetent ****** called Hershel he broke the frame of the window took measurements and charged me a $200 deposit. Ever since they have came out about 5 different times they have replaced the glass and left the window broken then I go see my bank statement just to see then have charged another $50 never reached out to see how they can take care of the issue. This went on for 4 months. Wouldn't recommend to anyone they won't do anything more than what you can do yourselves. The guy that answers the phone his name is Joe and he acts like he doesn't remember me every time I call even though I talk to him about once a week. The owners of the company Chris and Andrea just enjoy vaca after another using all the money they steal off people and avoid them when you try to get a hold of them personally. Contact me for other companies that are much more reputable.

Mr. [Member Name Removed], I'm sorry you feel that way but it is not true. We have a policy that our Service Dept. travels within a 12 mile radius from our shop. Where you are in Brooksville is 38 miles from us & is way beyond our service area! Many times our Service Dept has to make multiple trips as parts need to be ordered. We would have to pass that cost to you & that would be extremely expensive for a repair.

I called Pasco Window and Door to inquire about two Alcan sliding glass windows that had broken side track springs. Blake came out and told me this was a simple repair and that he would write up an estimate and that someone else would do the repair. He recommended that I call in few days to set up a return appointment. I had to call a few times, but I was given an appointment and Robert and Hershel performed the repairs very quickly and professionally. I would definitely recommend this company if you have an aging house that is starting to have window problems. Very courteous and professional.

Terrible -- the job is still not completed! We made arrangements for PW&D to remove existing shutters over our sliders to allow for installation of pavers on our pool deck. PW&D was to remove the shutters, cut the shutters according to the size of the new measurements after installation of the pavers, then re-install the shutters. We arranged a date in late October for PW&D to come. Nobody showed or called. I called them (Peter, Mark) toward the end of the day and after several excuses, they sent two people out the following morning. Fast forward to January after the pool renovation. My wife called them early in the month. No response to her message. I called last week and Peter told me they were "busy" and Mark had been on vacation and would follow up. No follow up. My wife called again this week. Still no response. Seriously, after paying a deposit on a relatively small project, it would seem that a) they could at least make time to return our phone calls, b) schedule the appointment, c) keep the appointment, and d) perform the work. I was hoping to use them on some windows, but NEVER again!!

I am very surprised at this review! We were not able to complete your job until your new patio pavers were installed and we made that very clear from the beginning and you e-mailed me that you understood that. Initially, when you told us that you had your pool refinish & paver installation scheduled we advised that you wait until after hurricane season was over as you would be without hurricane panels (after November). As you thanked me for the good advice, you decided to push back the scheduled dates for your paver installation. As you state in your review, your pool job was not complete until January, we could NOT do anything until this was completed. As stated in my e-mail to you on 8/3/19, I explained to you that in order for us to get accurate measurements so that the panels would be cut accurately, we needed to wait unit your pavers were completed. I also explained in that same e-mail the process, we would have to come out, measure, bring them back to our shop, cut, reassemble and then return to re-install. Your pavers were done in January, our job was completed in February. I truly don't understand how we are getting an "F" rating. I would be happy to attach the e-mails which shows all of this was clearly explained and you responded as if you understood the process. Also, we saved you from having to order new hurricane panels. Because we are one of the few companies around that have a full on-site shop that has the machinery to cut these, we were able to save you a lot of money. You do know this too because, at your request, we also discussed the cost of purchasing new hurricane protection but once you heard the price you decided the cut-downs would be the better option for you. I would also like to attach my phone records that show all of our return calls to you and your wife. Most of the time you were out of the country and we were trying to schedule with your wife. We completed the job exactly how we explained it would have to be done. We could NOT do anything until the company you hired to install the pool pavers completed their job. Again, I would be happy to post the e-mail communication between us showing that we fully explained this and your response showing that you received and replied to these e-mails.

PWD only sells PGT and when I initially informed the salesman, John, that I was considering other manufacturer's products and requested he quote double-hung windows instead of single-hung windows, included in his email reply was the statement "I don’t feel right selling you something that’s not needed." Frankly, that's not his call. When I responded to his email with a call to let him know that we'd selected another product and vendor, he stated that I should have done my homework. I don't like being told that I'm unable to make a decision. In my opinion, the salesman was condescending and possessed no tact or customer service skills. After my last conversation, I'm really glad I didn't choose PWD.

Hello [Member Name Removed], I'm sorry you had a negative experience with your Estimate. We do have our salesmen be as informative as possible. When a customer asks for Double Hung windows, we always ask if these are being installed on a 2nd story. Reason being, cleaning them. You have access to cleaning these windows from the inside of the house, so we do recommend them for 2nd stories. We do not recommend them for the 1st floor, and this is why: #1. Impact windows are VERY heavy, so when you fold down that upper sash, it is VERY HEAVY. #2. Being that we have a Service Department & have been fixing windows for 38 years, we see more mechanical issues with double hung windows as there are they are more replaceable parts that can break in these windows. #3. They are more expensive... So again, our job is to inform you and then it is up to you to make that decision. Of course we have customers install double hung windows on the first floor, but we never try to make a sale based on a higher price, we are about being honest, so that customers do not feel, "your salesman never told me that". We do always recommend customers get a few estimates, for any type of work they are having done. We do advise customers to do their homework on who they are hiring, workers that are coming into their home, make sure a permit is pulled, make sure the company has the proper insurance, etc... The reason for this is that we get calls on a daily basis from people who have poor jobs done & have no recourse because they hired an unlicensed contractor or a permit was not pulled. Now, it is going to cost them twice as much to have the job done right. I apologize if you felt John came across as condescending, that is not how we want to represent our company. Sometimes I think our Salesmen are so passionate about providing you with facts (because we've seen so many people get burned or misinformed by other companies) that they try to provide customers with as much information as possible, so that you can make the right decision for you. Good luck with your project. I am sorry to see you felt we deserve a "D" rating when we never even performed any work for you.

Excellent! Installation Tech Darren Wilson was the most honest, professional and qualified home construction technician ever experienced in Florida for the past 20 years of residence. This local company did every thing possible to make sure that the storm shutters are of high quality material, installed correctly and with maximum customer service. Totally unexpected for Florida. I would highly recommend this company and especial Darren Wilson to anyone looking for hurricane home protection. The price was reasonable for the service and product provided. The most remarkable thing about Pasco Window and Door is that they self-inspect and correct deficiencies before the homeowner is even aware of a problem. Before they left my homesite, they cleaned up their work area and insured that I understood how to open, close and secure the storm shutters. A couple of minor problems surfaced during this procedure and the installer correct the deficiency on the spot, explaining what occurred and how he repaired it.

WOW, WOW & WOW. If you're shopping for windows, this is a must read. 1) PRICE: Check around for the best price, I suggest a minimum of 3 quotes. In my case, replacing 10 windows with Non-Impact equivalents, the pricing varied by $5,000 when the 3 quotes were in. In fact, one of the quotes was provided on the back of a business card... Really? The highest and the lowest were selling the same windows manufactured by a company called PGT. Needless to say, these guys were lowest. In the quest for quotes, Pasco Windows and Doors is a must have. 2) INSTALLATION: Outstanding team with years of experience by dedicated company employees (not subcontractors). They have a high regard to personal property and maintained attention to detail to their workmanship. Any question or concerns with the installation process was addressed immediately. When completed, the only thing left behind was the new windows. 3) SERVICE: From start to finish, the customer service was outstanding. You will need to have some patience and understanding of the process. It took about 90 days from start to finish. The windows are custom made which is 4-6 process normally. And when you offer a great service at a reasonable price, you tend to be very busy. So they were scheduled out for several weeks. 4) DOUBLE BONUS – SUPPORT: Shortly after the installation, I had an issue with one of the windows due to an action on my part (not related to installation or a window defect) and their support team jumped right in to resolve the issue for which I was not billed. In addition, due to regulations, some windows require tempered glass. This was overlooked during the quotation process (honest error) and discovered during the installation process. They also replaced this window with the required tempered glass at no cost to me. I’m quite sure they incurred a lost in both scenario. In closing: I very rarely write reviews but was compelled following this experience. Not only are the windows exactly what we envisioned (PGT windows are a quality product) but the entire process with Pasco Windows & Doors was pleasant and far exceed my expectations in professionalism. Especially nice when concerned with the purchase of this big ticket item (for me). A prefect ending.

It did not go as well as it should. The service department was, for the most part, pleasant enough but not efficient. The young man who actually came out and did the work was very new and unsure of himself but very good to work with. When we first started this process in September, they were out here very quickly, assessed the situation, took photos of the two windows, said we needed new balancers, and the front door needed a new flush bolt, and said he would talk to the manager who would then get back to us after collecting a $30 charge for the estimate. Then things seemed to fall apart. We didn't hear from them again about an estimate. We called several times before we got an answer and the young man, wish I recalled his name, he was extremely nice, came out and picked up the screens to be changed to pet screen, took more photos and said they couldn't find the parts for the windows. He also couldn't find a flush bolt that would fit the front door stating that they didn't make them any longer for doors that old. The door was 4 years old! I then gave him a copies of the original paperwork for the windows and doors that included parts and model #s for each. He said I could call the parts manager and let him know this information but I felt that was his job, not mine. He agreed and took the information and said they would call us when the screens were ready. We waited almost a month for those to come back. He installed them on October 19 and then fixed the front door finding it didn't need a new flush bolt at all but had been postponed incorrectly by a delivery person and had jammed. Then he said they found the parts (balancers) for our windows but the warehouse said they only shipped in a box of 6 (a cost of $18.65 each) for a one time fee of $25. We needed 4, they would send 4 but would charge us $25 shipping fee per balancer as a result!!! That made no sense so I told him to order the 6, we would keep 2 in reserve and it would be cheaper overall. He said they might like to have the extra 2 on hand in case another customer came in with the same window problem. He told me again to call the parts manager to discuss all this with him. Again I suggested that he should talk to the parts manager. He agreed and said they would call me shortly when things were ready. We've called many times since then, we've been told that they'd get back to us the next day (they never did). Once we were told they had never heard of us and had no record of us ever doing business there. We gave them the number of the work order that was on our receipt to help out. Later, they found the work order where we'd paid $661 for the screen work and would "get back to us soon" when they got the balancers. Still, no response since then to a few more calls trying to get this taken care of. Maybe the worker who was here didn't deliver the message. We do not know. Bottom line, we don't recommend them. The screen job was great, no argument there, but as for the rest of this we felt they weren't interested. For the record, no one there ever raised their voice or was rude or unkind and neither were we. We have simply given up and will find another company that can do the small jobs. In case you're wondering, the company that originally installed the windows ten years ago is out of business which is why we called Pasco Window & Door, we live in the same town and like to support local businesses, and the recommendations on Angie's List helped too.

TERRIBLE TIMING... FLORIDA HURRICANE. I took some time to investigate the details of your Service Calls, as any unsatisfied customer is concerning. I see you first appointment with us was on 9/5/17, for an Estimate only, in which we measured for the screen you wanted replace, we looked at the front door & took information & pics for the window balancers. Yes, we do charge a $30 estimate fee which is credited towards any work you decide to have done. We noted you requested pricing for both regular screen & pet screen because you weren't sure which you were going to go with. This was not just re-screening, you needed to have screens (and frames) fabricated. You called on 9/21 & again on 9/28, on 10/2 you decided to go with the pet screen. I do apologize but please understand, the 21st was 10 days after a major hurricane went through the entire state of Florida. Our phones were ringing off of the hook before the storm with customers in a panic trying to find someone to put up their hurricane shutters. For months after our phones remained crazy due to customers with storm damage, broken glass, hurricane shutter problems, etc. We did our best to try to keep up but honestly, it was insane! We were also trying to put people who had severe damage as a priority. Your new pet screens were installed on 10/19. That same day, we were able to fix your flush bolt for you, which saved you from having to order and pay for a new one. We keep on hand the most common sizes for replacement window balancers. It is impossible for us to keep each & every size, manufacturer & model in stock. Yours were an uncommon size that needed to be found & special ordered. Yes, it does take time for us to do the leg work & search for these replacement parts. Even though you have the paperwork for the windows, that does not tell us who carries the replacement parts. If it were that easy, I'm sure you would have gotten them. Again, after a major hurricane, it was even harder to get these and even harder for us to find the time to research as again, it was such a crazy time. For any special ordered balancers we are charged a $15 boxing fee. There must have been a misunderstanding here because the boxing fee is NOT for each balancer, it is per order. Yes, we are required to order a minimum order of 6, which is that companies policy, not ours. Because of that "boxing fee" (which we do not mark up for our customers at all) we added $2 per balancer in order to cover the "boxing fee". Our normal price for balancers we carry is $16.65, you were quoted $18.65 (due to the boxing fee). We were NOT going to charge you an additional $25 as you state we were just explaining why the price for each was higher than what we normally charge. Your total invoice was for the pet screen fabrication (which is a set price per sq. foot installed) and for the flush bolt repair that was done. The bottom line is, with this craziness, when your pet screen & flush bolt was completed, your work order was marked as "closed" which to us, means it was completed. It then got filed away with the completed jobs. Therefore, when you were calling back to find out about the balancers, we could not find an "open" ticket for you. Was this part our fault, yes, it was & we do apologize for that. This hurricane impacted & caused damage to the entire state of Florida. Hurricane winds caused so much damage to glass, screens & storm shutters, causing our phones to blow up! We truly did our best, with the staff we have and working overtime, to keep up with the demands and try to help everyone out in a timely manner. Keep in mind, many of our employees left the state themselves only to return & find their owns homes damaged and without power. Unfortunately, you called for our services during the busiest time of our 37 year existence and we made an error by accidentally filing away an incompleted job. This is not how we normally operate and again, we do apologize but are glad you are happy with your pet screen & your door repair.

Hi [Removed Member Name], yes, unfortunately, that is the timeframe to receive custom windows from our manufacturer, PGT. This is something that we have no control over, as we do not make the windows ourself. As a distributor for them, it is something that is out of our hands. Please don't penalize our rating for that. PGT is a very high quality window & I'm sure they will be worth the wait!!

It went wonderfully. The experience and expertise of the installers was readily apparent. They did a terrific job and did it quite quickly. I would not hesitate to hire them in the future.

.It took forever to get all the parts. There are not a lot of people that repair those kind of things in windows so I have no complaint on what I paid them. We live on the gulf and things get corroded with the salt air. They did what I needed them to do. One person came and did the service. He was great.
Description of Work: .They repaired all the springs in the windows.
