Kevin Did a beautiful job the cabinets look like the cabinets were replaced vs new door fronts. He also came back to make some adjustments. The job went seamless so I highly recommend him. I had estimates that were the same or higher and the doors were not real wood, Kevin’s are real wood.

Kevin gave us several options, showed us examples of his work and listened to what we wanted and our expectations. Then he hit it out of the park. Everyone who sees the cabinets raves about how rich the wood looks and how precise the corners are - everything! We absolutely couldn’t be happier. Kevin has our highest recommendation.

Kevin came out, gave an estimate and we signed the contract. He was very busy and we expected to wait several months. To our surprise he was able to come out sooner than expected. Kevin is meticulous and the kitchen looks just beautiful. His product is very good quality. We were pleased to have a new kitchen to cook Christmas dinner in!

It did not go well!! IT BECAME A NIGHTMARE!!! Kevin McMillan/Owner, was very responsive in securing our business. And the proposal went well. (Although I thought it was very pricey. $8060 for 26 doors and 12 drawers.) Then he ordered the materials, which also was on schedule. So I was optimistic. Then he showed up to do the work and I thought...OK, .just bond and chit chat for a half hour and let him go about his business. But, he just wouldn't stop talking. So, I left for 3 days and left my husband to deal with his incessant talking. After 3 days he could not complete the job because an end panel was damaged in shipping and our soft closing doors were banging on opening. Also, there was one door with a defect that we asked to have replaced. That's when things got ugly. He insisted he could fix that defect even though I had previously asked him for matching paint to paint my pantry and laundry room door. At that time he said he dd not have matching paint. So, when we pointed out the defective door and he said he could fix it, I wondered how. He refused to order a replacement door. So, my husband contacted the manufacturer who did order a new door and shipped it to Kevin. Kevin never contacted us after that. We had to initiate contact. Then he said he would only come back if my husband was not there. Just to get it done, I agreed. When he finally came back 2 months later he was so hostile I seriously was afraid for my safety. He came in with the replacement board. I asked him to not use his cell phone while working in my house and he said he had a business to run and that he was leaving!!! We had held out $560 of the $8060 until he completed his work. Apparently, he wanted that BEFORE he finished the job. I was shocked, and said I would only pay when the job was done. He then literally RIPPED the side panel out of my hands and ran out my front door. I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism. He threatened to lien my house! I feel we already overpaid for sub par service. Ironically, I had at least 6 friends, family, clients and neighbors who were begging for his number. But, he clearly doesn't understand the age concept that the customer is always right!

Sorry this is long, but the true facts have to be known. I was waiting for the lies to start from this customer and here they are! After being in business for 10 plus years this is the one customer one hears about but hopes to never get! The husband was telling me stories of past experiences he had and I said "you're a contractor's nightmare" because from what he had told me the contractors were not in the wrong. He laughed! Little did I know at the time I was foreshadowing! I have received a large amount of referrals over the years because 99.9 % of my customers are extremely happy! I even do a lot of repeat business because of the excellent quality and price I give them! . This customer had received many other estimates before I did their job and said I was the best they had gotten when they called me back to hire me. All her doors were oversized doors on 42 inch cabinets. The big box stores charge twice as much for the same high quality wood doors. Now she is saying the price wasn't good yet she has others begging for my number as she stated! She also claims the doors are banging when opened. This was caused by the large handles the customer supplied themselves that I installed for FREE! I told them when I returned I would install restrictor clips and I was going to do this free of charge! This job was installed right before the midterm elections and when they found out during causal conversation that I did not support the same party as them they turned extremely nasty! As the wife stated, she talked to me the first day, she even volunteered to look up a house that was for sale for me that I was interested in since she was a realtor and gave me advice. After the first day and her finding out I didn't have the same political views as them she barely said a word. I could not finish this job fast enough! I could tell they were standoffish. I offered to warranty a door that they claimed was defective even though it wasn't and I have pictures for anyone that wants to see the so called defective door! I sent these to my manufacturer for a warranty request. After receiving a very nasty phone conversation from them I requested communication by text only so I would have record of the conversation. Here is the first text I sent them after the phone conversation. . "If you want that door replaced we have to ship it back. I'm trying to work with you and do everything possible to resolve this. The sooner I ship it the sooner we get it back. Let me know when I can come and get it. I am available this morning ( I wanted to get it as soon as possible) at 10am. Due to your yelling and being uncooperative I will only communicate by text." (Again, I wanted everything we discussed in writing.) They refused to give me the door for warranty and requested my supplier's phone number which I was happy to give to them. I have had a 3 or 4 doors over the past 10+ years claimed under warranty and have NEVER had any problem with the customer returning the door for warranty and every warranty claim was successful. My supplier went against their own policy and decided to remake the door for them. Let me remind you, there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with the door they wanted replaced. There was a spot on the inside edge of the door the size of a grain of salt that I was able to easily fix with the Pint of touch up paint I get with every job! It was not visible anymore with the naked eye! The customer text me after talking with my supplier saying my supplier was going to replace the door without receiving the other door. So I called my supplier to confirm with them if they were going to remake the door without receiving the other one and gave them the measurements of the one in question and they said they would because this customer that called them was the "nastiest person they have ever dealt with on the phone"! And that would be out of many thousands of customers since they make wood doors for Big Box stores also! I agreed! When the customer had asked me about matching paint for her pantry door as she had stated I explained that the paint I use is very expensive ($30 a pint) and I have to mix it with a catalyst and it would be much cheaper and easier for them to go to Home Depot and have them match the color. She agreed! When I received the new warrantied door they contacted me the same day I received it to see when I was coming and didn't give me a chance to contact them as she stated. I told them it would be about a week or 2 between job installs. Again, nothing was wrong with their door but I was coming to replace a door that nothing wrong with it at no charge. I gave them my terms since I was threaten by the husband and they threatened to not pay me the $560 owed. The terms I gave them were for the husband to not be home ( I did not feel safe with him being there. He didn't seem mentally stable either yet she says she didn't feel safe.) which she stated above , but she forgot the second term she agreed to which is I would have to get paid in full before I did any more work since they had already threaten to not pay me before! Here is the husband's quote of not paying me, "OK, lets do this The Trump [Member Information Removed] I'm cancelling the check and I'll see you in court. If you can't put out the money from your pocket to get that door and then return the other one you're no businessman." All these texts are available for anyone to see and will be used in court. Again, this was how hostile they became when they found out I did not share their own political view and the wife supports this when she said she left for 3 days. When I arrived the second morning she was very rude and nasty to me and this was before the door in question even came into play! When I did schedule to come back I restated my terms of being paid in full by cash or cashiers check at the start of work and the husband being gone. The wife, [Member Name Removed], responded. "This is [Member Name Removed]! You can come at 9:30 tomorrow I will have cash on hand and [Member Name Removed] won't be here. how long do you estimate this will take? When I arrived the next day at exactly 9:30 am I observed the husband, [Member Name Removed], was not there as I requested so I entered the residence and waited for her to remove her dog. I was immediately met with hostility and was told to not be on my phone while there which I wasn't but I informed her that being a business owner I will always answer calls if a customer happens to call. [Member Name Removed] then informed me that she was video recording everything as she showed me the camera because she didn't trust me. I told her that would be fine and asked her for payment in full because I didn't trust her either. My contract clearly states, Balance Due upon Substantial Completion and their job was substantially completed! I had already carried materials with me into the house to finish the job. Big mistake. I should have made sure I received final payment in full first. She informed me she would not be paying me until I was done replacing the door and side panel. I said those were not the terms that I had set and that she had agreed to so I started to grab the materials I had brought in and she had not paid for yet. She saw me reach for them so she grabbed them also at about the same time as me and she said I wasn't taking them with me which I pulled them from her grip and walked, not run as she stated, out of the house with her screaming and cussing at me the whole [Member Information Removed]. I'm glad the husband wasn't there which I sensed could have been trouble because of his mental instability. Again, they owe me $560 so I wasn't going to leave the materials I brought into the house with me. This is all she wanted and was never planning on paying me . She showed this by agreeing to the terms I set then not honoring them when I arrived. They are not to be trusted! I have never heard from them again until these lies were posted. My next step is court/lien for finally payment of $560. I ask her this, If I did such a bad job, which I'm sure they have seen yours, why would 6 other people be"begging" for my number? Anyone reading this, I will be glad to show you all the pictures of this job and the nasty texts I received if asked.

My wife and I couldn't be happier with the final outcome of our recent kitchen refresh. Kevin McMillan was a joy to work with on this project. He was professional in his communication, craftsmanship and attitude. He listened to our wants and needs and in the end we got the kitchen we have wanted for years. His pricing was competitive and his work ethic was outstanding. He was also very friendly and courteous. We would recommend this company to friends and family in a heartbeat.

Kitchen Refacing Designers, LLC (Kevin McM) was a pleasant surprise. Kevin ordered whole array of cabinet doors and dry box systems with-out a single error in measurement or product damage. He optimized door sizes, door openings and greatly enhanced the visual appeal of the Kitchen Cabinets.. we were seriously considering painting the cabinets and other contractors till Kevin showed up and very calmly showed us the differences in cabinets and in paint solutions. The quality of his product and workmanship is way above those orange and blue box stores. The person just tells you what he will accomplish and does it without drama and excuses. His attention to quality and minute details is refreshing, he truly works on the project like it is his own kitchen.. One other rare thing about Kitchen Refacing Designers, LLC I personally tested his warranty, a minor appearance issue on one of the cabinets, Kevin showed up took care of it with out any hesitation.. a RARE phenomenon with todays contracting. The person actually cares. We are in process of doing other work with Kitchen Refacing Designers, LLC..

Our new kitchen is beautiful!! Kevin did an excellent job. We have a very large kitchen that had 30 year old laminate cabinets. Kevin ordered and installed custom made wood doors and drawer fronts that are of very high quality. Since the doors are custom made, there is about a two month waiting period between placing the order and installation. Once Kevin scheduled our installation the project moved quickly. Kevin worked long hours for four days to complete our installation in less than 1 week. Kevin is very meticulous with great attention to detail. His workmanship is top notch. You will be working with the owner of this company, not a salesperson and installers. Cost of the project with Kitchen Refacing Designers was much less than Home Depot and the quality is better.

We hired Kevin McMillan to reface our kitchen cabinets, our Master bathroom cabinets and our Guest bathroom cabinets. He did a terrific job! He made recommendations such as enlarging the box inside my makeup drawer in the master bathroom, creating pantry doors to hide inside drawers, and adding a face plate above the cabinet below the kitchen sink. He also replaced two drawer boxes that were broken and gave us all soft close drawers and doors. We chose Expresso for our cabinet color, Maple wood and the style is Raised Panel. The Crown molding on the top of the Upper cabinets gives it a very rich look and enhances our Granite countertops. Kevin was helpful every step of the way. He was extremely experienced, punctual, and friendly. He was able to complete this project to our satisfaction on time and on budget. We would hire him again without question.

We hired Kevin McMillan of Kitchen Refacing Designers LLC to reface our old (1980-vintage) kitchen cabinets that were badly frayed around the edges. Kevin does the whole job, from the quoting, the measuring, the ordering of the 19 doors & 3 drawers, and finally the installation. What a superb craftsman Kevin is! He did a GREAT job - and our kitchen looks fantastic! And he is a very nice person to be around, for the 3 days it took to install.

In March 2016, I signed a contract with Kitchen Refacing Designers to reface my kitchen cabinets. Prior to having the cabinets refaced, I had a new quartz countertop installed in the kitchen. To prevent any damage to my new countertop, I was very careful to cover it with either cardboard or the packing material that came with the new cabinet doors. I also covered my stove so that it wouldn’t be damaged. The job was completed to my satisfaction. In August of 2016, I signed another contract to have the cabinets in my laundry room refaced. Again, I was careful to cover both my washing machine and dryer so that they would not be damaged. In March of this year, 2017, I again contracted to have my bathroom cabinets and four cabinet doors in my dining room refaced. This time, however, I did not cover my bathroom countertop. The countertop in my bathroom is cultured marble, and although it is not new, it was in great shape and had no blemishes. For all the aforementioned work, I paid Kitchen Refacing Designers a total of $9,960. After the work was completed in the bathroom and I was putting everything back in the cabinets, I noticed a nick in the marble countertop. I immediately sent Kevin (the owner) a text that said, “I hate to tell you this, but there’s a nick in my marble countertop that was not there this morning.” His reply was, “Impossible because I put nothing on your countertop to nick it. I had everything on the floor except your old knobs and I don’t think they could do it.” Kevin came over the next morning to change out the knobs on the dining room cabinets, and I showed him the damage to the countertop. Again he said that he hadn’t put anything on top of the counter. I told him that wasn’t true, because in the afternoon I had actually walked into the bathroom and saw one of the drawers standing on its end on top of the countertop! I said, “Kevin do you think I’m lying to you that this nick wasn’t there this morning”? He said he didn’t think I was lying, but he didn’t damage the countertop. Before Kevin arrived that morning, I contacted the contractors who originally installed the countertop to see if they could repair the damage and sent them a picture. They said the countertop could be repaired; the cost would be $150. When I told Kevin that I expected him to pay for the repair, he said he wouldn’t pay $150; he would pay me $50 because that’s all the profit he made on this job. He said he would mail me a check. Kevin went out to his truck and returned with a tube of caulk. He said he could repair the countertop himself. I told him I didn’t want him to do that! He said he could sand the marble and fill it in with caulk and a little acrylic paint would make the nick invisible. I told him no. Two weeks have now gone by, with no sign of any check from Kevin. I cannot believe that I paid him almost $10,000 and he would not stand by his work and pay for the damage that he clearly caused. Even the countertop guy said, “It’s clear that this nick was caused by a screw that went into the marble.” And one last thing – Kevin did not cover the toe kick beneath the bathroom cabinets in the new color, so now my new refaced cabinets are a different color from the toe kick. Whether this was an oversight or not, I do not know. What I do know is that I will now have to pay to have someone else come out here and complete the job that was left undone. Having said all this, I cannot no longer give him a good rating; I am sorely disappointed.

This was the third job I had done for this customer because she liked the first 2 jobs so much. I sold the job to her at cost plus $50 for 9 hrs of work because she was such a great customer by referring me out to others. After completing this third job she brought to my attention the next day a pinhole dot, yes, a pinhole on her 20 year old plastic countertops that she claimed was marble and would cost $150 to repair. I immediately showed up at her house that day to see what she was talking about. I saw a pinhole dot the size of a stick pin on the countertop that I was able to immediately repair where it was invisible to the naked eye. I let her know I would come back and put a dot of acrylic paint on it after the spot dried. She declined and wanted to pay someone $150 for the same thing I was offering to do for her at no charge. I wish I could post a picture here of it in these comments but it wont allow. I offered to give her the $50 I made on this job but she declined my offer. She was very unreasonable when her 20 year old plastic tops weren't even worth the $150 she said it would cost to repair. These tops are now obsolete. One can get a new granite vanity top for that price. I am still not sure how that pinhole dot got there since I was not working on her top as she also stated but I was able to repair it for her at no cost to her. I wish her well with all her future projects.

We received quotes from 6 different companies. He was not the cheapest ($3,000), but was also not the most expensive ($12,000). We liked him because he was the sales person as well as the installer so we knew what we were getting. We did not have to worry about a group of workers coming in trying to interpret what the "sales" person promised. He was the sales and the project person. He had to come back for one minor issue that came up, but was back right away and we have had no issues with the cabinets since.

This project went very well thanks to Kevin McMillan. We purchased new appliances, new countertops, and Kevin refaced our cabinets. He explained the order for everything - new appliances installed (Famous Tate), then old countertops removed (I kept my original backsplash) without damaging the tile of my backsplash (FGC Renovations), new countertops were installed (International Granite and Stone), and then Kevin came in to reface. He was professional and efficient. He worked diligently to meet our every request and we are thrilled with our new kitchen! Kevin's attention to detail is very obvious which makes our kitchen look fabulous! I highly recommend him! He is excellent!
Description of Work: We wanted to update our kitchen without changing the footprint.

The job was extremely well done. The color was perfect, the doors are a perfect fit and all of the exposed surfaces look original. If you didn't know it was refaced you would think we have an all new kitchen. Kevin did an excellent job!
Description of Work: Kitchen Refacing Designers took our existing kitchen cabinets and refaced all of the exposed surfaces and put on new cabinet doors.

I had a great experience with Kevin. He was always on time and took the time to ensure that the job was done professionally. If I called and left him a message, he always returned my call in a timely manner. I will be using him again to reface my master bath cabinets and drawers and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to update their kitchen or bathroom.
Description of Work: I had my kitchen and laundry room cabinets refaced.

I couldn't be happier with the price we paid for the quality we got! We had gotten several other estimates and they were without a doubt the best quality for the best price. Our neighbors can't believe they are our old cabinets that were refaced. They are beautiful. I would recommend kitchen Refacing Designers to everyone that needs their kitchen and bathroom cabinets done. They were more than half the price of the new cabinets we got estimates for. Thanks for the great job!
