This was my first experience actually moving long distance. From the moment I first made contact with Mr. King to the moment I signed off on the delivery in Murphy, NC it was a totally painless move. The men who actually did the moving were extremely professional, considerate and yet showed their individual personalities. I would strongly recommend this company if you are considering a move.

The workers were very pleasant, polite and worked very hard. The problem I had was the pricing. The owner of the company came to my home to give me a price and put it in writing. On the contract it stated the price was a total job cost and it listed that I would need storage and there would be three stops; old house, storage and new house. The price was $1850 on that initial contract. After everything was moved from my old house into the storage space, which Kings provided, they then gave us another proposal with an additional $1650 to move my belongings from the storage to my new home. In addition, we gave $300 cash for the first months rent for storage and we had to pay it again because they said they never received it. I spoke with the owner and he would not budge and did nothing but justify what they did with the pricing. We did pay the extra $1650 and $300 but would not use them again or recommend them to anyone. We have everything they gave us in writing for proof.

I CALLED SEVERAL DAYS IN ADVANCED TO CONFIRM ADDRESS, DATE, AND TIME. THEY SHOWED UP TWO HOURS LATE, DRIVER SAID HE WAS IN A MEETING AND GOT LOST. WE WENT TO THE STORAGE UNIT AND ONE OF THE WORKERS WAS SMOKING IN MY UNIT AROUND MY BELONGINGS. TWO DRIVERS WERE GOING UP THE RAMP AND FELL OFF AND ALMOST BROKE MY CHAIR. THERE WAS NOT A LOT OF CARE OR CONCERN WITH MY BELONGINGS. I DID CALL THE COMPANY AND LET THEM KNOW THAT HE FELL AND GOT HURT. YOU COULD TELL HE WAS IN PAIN AND KEPT WORKING, WHICH HE (CHRISTOPHER) SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN DOING. THEN WE WENT INTO MY HOUSE IN WHICH THEY WERE HURRIED AND RUSHED. THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY ATTENTION TO DETAIL. I FOUND A PART TO MY BED FRAME AT MY APARTMENT, WENT TO THE NEW HOUSE AND FOUND MY BED FRAME IN DISARRAY AND FOUND THAT THEY TRIED TO HIDE PLASTIC THEY DIDN'T TOTALLY UNWRAP. WHEN THE BROUGHT IN MY TREADMILL THEY NICKED MY CLOSET DOOR, THERE WERE ALSO SCRAPES AND BLACK MARKS. LEFT TRASH. I COMPLAINED, RESCHEDULED, AND IT TOOK THEM OVER A WEEK.

Chris was a very knowledgeable mover, he knew how to get the job done without stressing out the customer. He was a great team leader and also made sure he was organized with how to put things back together during reassembly (and kept all parts where they would not get lost). The two other movers were professional as well.

THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL, TIMELY, THEY DID NOT BREAK ANYTHING AND THEY MOVED FASTER THAN I COULD KEEP UP WITH THEM!

I hired this company a month before my scheduled floor work was to be done. I had called 2 times the week preceding the move. I was assured they would be at my home the day that they were scheduled. They never showed up or returned any of my phone calls!
