+ 0 moreThe provider did quality work with good responsiveness and charged a fair price. The provider came out several times to try and diagnose the electrical problem in the residence (a prior electrician had initially attempted to diagnose this problem ). Even Duke Energy participated in helping us diagnose a difficult problem.
Description of Work: The provider did trouble shooting on an electrical problem in the college residence hall and then ended up replacing the main breaker (Oct 2013). The provider installed stronger vent fans for the residence hall bathrooms (Jan 2014)

They resolved all issues and installed fixtures without problem. We had a little missunderstanding about the work being done with the quote that was given to me, but it was quickly resolved with a phone call and a settlement that was fair for both parties.
Description of Work: Troubleshoot an electrical problem, install 2 light fictures with fans, replace switches and outlets.

+ -1 moreTried to set up an appointment to have them repair a ceiling fan in our home. After a difficult time in reaching them, Jeff finally phoned back. At that time he said he would call me back later that day to set up an appointment but never phoned back. After more than 24 hours later Jeff finally phoned back (this probably because I had phoned again and left another message). At that time Jeff tried to make an excuse for not calling back but never did give a reason why it took so long to call back. I have used this company before and they used to be fine but must have gotten fat and happy. To me not calling back or calling back late is just as bad as doing shoddy work. I will not use this company anymore.

When a problem arose with installation, he solved the problem very quickly.It took me and my wife 1 1/2 hours trying to install this lamp without success. After calling Holiday electric it took only 20 minutes to install. Cost was reasonable. My son had used this company previously and was very happy with the service.

+ -1 moreVery well - The electrician made all the tests also - and found out that the brand new ballast from Home Depot was faulty. He replaced it with a brand new one he had out in his work van. After that, the light worked beautifully every time you turned the switch on. I returned the defective ballast, which I had purchased from Home Depot, and received my $20.00 back. I would like to add, that the electrician was very prompt, polite, thorough and fastidious. Very pleased.
Description of Work: Fixed a bathroom fluorescent light which tried to light, and would go out, but the off switch on the wall would also be in the "off" position, and the light still started to light up. We at home, here, had already replaced the lights, put in a brand new ballast, a new switch - even checked the electrical wiring - which checked out fine - but the light would not work properly.

Jeff really seemed to want to solve my problem, not just make a service call. He was thoughtful and very thorough. He also fixed a fan that was not on the service order, because he said and quot;it just doesn't look safeand quot; right now. He fixed that one perfectly too, at no charge. Overall, an outstanding experience.

+ 1 moreOverall it went well except for that lack of communication. I have a hectic schedule and like to be in touch with people that are completing work for me
Description of Work: Called Jeff initially and he was going out of town so sent Mike to fix one Dixie Bell fan and another fan in the kitchen. He was putting remotes on both fans to eliminate the chains. First visit. Mike came with replacement light kit but no plate covers for the walls and had to order new clip for kitchen fan, also had to order new motor from Dans Fan city as we found motor had a loose bearing. I found Mike to be personable and professional, However I did get worried at the amount of time that lapsed between return visit to finish the job. Finally called THe fan store to find out the motor had come in and was picked up. A courtesy call would have been appreciated to at least give me a time frame. Jeff was gone again on vacation so when he returned I was finally able to get the job completed.
