A+ all the way. Kevin transformed an unusable backyard into an amazing outdoor living space that our family will enjoy for many years to come. We interviewed several contractors and obtained estimates. It was pretty clear from the start that Kevin was head and shoulders above the rest. Kevin is in high demand so you may have to wait for an appointment and for the start of your construction, but it is well worth the wait. Pricing is fair with lots of upgrades included. You might get a lower estimate elsewhere but the quality of materials will not be comparable. We had a few unexpected things come up during the process that might have thrown other contractors off schedule, but Kevin adeptly handled them without missing a beat. Knowledgeable, honest, responsive, and a genuinely nice person. He exceeded our expectations! We highly recommend Grand Vista and Kevin Shipp!

This was without a doubt the best experience I've ever had with a contractor of any type. Kevin helped us with the design of our brand new pool and had some very clever ideas that we ended up implementing. His estimate was reasonable compared to others we had gotten. We ended up picking him because of his professionalism, promptness, and general "feel" about him. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. Our pool is stunning. Kevin and all members of his crew did a wonderful, wonderful job!! The pool is beyond all our expectations. The large boulders surrounding it look so real and are really a piece of art. The pool works great, the equipment used is all top of the line. We had a fantastic pool construction experience with Grand Vista Pools! Kevin Shipp recently finished building our beautiful outdoor living space, which includes a pool, a spa, a waterfall feature with a fire bowl and a separate fire pit area. We are thrilled with our lovely backyard retreat! This project was a decent investment for us. We met with two other pool companies; however, after meeting with Kevin, we felt assured that he would give us exactly what we wanted. He promised that it would be perfect. We got more than we expected. Kevin explained every detail of each construction phase. He gave us helpful input with material selections. Each crew showed up exactly when promised. They worked until the job was finished. They were all professional, friendly, and very hard workers. Most important, they respect Kevin. We appreciated that they kept our property clean during the process. Kevin was at our house every morning by 7AM and each afternoon to oversee the project. My husband and I purchased a home and had this work done before we moved in. My husband and I are perfectionists. We are in the customer service field. Working with Kevin Shippe and his team was how we wish every project would go. He exceeded our expectations. Here is what he did: He met us at the store to pick out the travertine that we wanted. Overnight he delivered the plan for our pool area. Kevin was a great communicator. He gave us regular updates. We were delighted to hear that he was able to start the job earlier than expected and it was completed two weeks earlier than our deadline. His team was professional and had a great work ethic. They were here early (7:15-7:30) and worked all day. Kevin even sent us photos of the pool since we were out of town. The pool looks beautiful. Our neighbors now want to have theirs done too. We trust and value Kevin's work so much that we are now contracting him to build an outdoor kitchen and fireplace in our pool area. What a great experience.

We could not be happier with Grand vista Pools! From the day Kevin came out to look at our yard he was professional and easy to work with. He listened to what we wanted and tried in every way to keep us in the price range we felt most comfortable with. We were told right up front when the start date was and approximate finish. It took a little over 6 weeks for the whole process. During this time Kevin was on site throughout and monitoring everything. It is the most beautiful pool space ever! We had the deck done with travertine and it is simply elegant, more than we imagined. We were informed of every step of the process and what would be happening each week. Our questions or concerns were addressed immediately thru text, phone, or email. Kevin and John are top notch and really look out for your best interest. Every crew that came to our house was polite and clean. We had no mess to clean up at the end of the day. If we ever have to put in another pool it will be done by Grand Vista Pools. We selected Grand Vista Pools because of the comfort level we felt with owner Kevin Shipp after our initial meeting. Before we contracted with Kevin's company we spoke with four of his customers who live in our community and both unequivocally stated that we would not be disappointed in choosing him to build our pool. They each said that Kevin was involved with the entire process from the initial sales meeting all the way to final delivery of the product. They all said that Kevin was always accessible by phone, e-mail or text. Now that our pool is finished we can confirm that Kevin was involved with every step, was on site often and communicated to us every aspect of the construction and when it would take place. If he said that a certain task would be completed by a certain date, it was. He guaranteed that our pool would be completed in six weeks and it was completed in less than five weeks. We found Kevin to be readily available for all of our questions and concerns along the way. He always responded timely and never seemed "bothered" by our numerous questions, and we asked plenty. Even now, six weeks after pool completion, Kevin is still answering our questions about chemicals and so forth. Other customers who are a year beyond completion echo a similar comment. Kevin made sure our pool was chemically balanced before he turned it over to us and we could tell he wouldn't be comfortable cutting us loose until we knew how to operate the equipment and maintain our pool and water. We ordered an automatic pool cleaner that was the typical blue and white color scheme. When we noticed on the manufacturer's website that a gray version was offered, Kevin without any hesitation took back the first one and had the gray delivered to our house, and all because we thought the gray one was more aesthetically pleasing! We noted that Kevin's employees and contractors were courteous, timely, professional and went about their business while on site. We had two of Kevin's associates tell us they enjoy working on Kevin's projects and they have seen how he treats his customers and contractors alike and understand why he is held in high regard. We've had a few renovations and construction projects on our house over the years and without a doubt the pool project with Grand Vista Pools was the most pleasant, satisfying and stress free project. We are thrilled with our pool and are very, very satisfied with Kevin and Grand Vista Pools.

Kevin was on time, very professional and listened to what we wanted. He explained everything. I contacted him to let him know we were going with someone else as we got a discount as friends were using another contractor as well. Even then he was very professional and thanked me for letting him know. We made a mistake by NOT going with Grand Vista.

In short, I can not recommend Grand Vista highly enough. Kevin is by far the best contractor I have ever worked with. With all of the nightmare stories out there, I didn't take selecting a pool builder lightly. I researched many companies in the greater Tampa area. After narrowing it down to 3 companies, I ultimately chose Grand Vista and am extremely glad I did. I obviously wanted a competent builder who I could trust, but it was very important to me to choose a company that will be around to help once the project is finished as issues always come up with pools. Kevin Shipp, owner of Grand Vista has exceeded every expectation. He had some excellent ideas with the design. He never missed an appointment. His construction team members are all very skilled, professional, respectful and detail oriented. Deadlines were met. Kevin communicated with me at every step of the way. With the personal attention I received, it was as if I was Kevin's only customer, but I know that wasn't the case. Since the project has ended, if anything comes up, I am still getting the same attention as before. On a side note, Kevin also constructed an outdoor kitchen that is absolutely amazing on all fronts. My wife and I were in the process of building a new home when we decided to move forward with the installation of a swimming pool. We hired Grand Vista Pools to design and build our in-ground swimming pool concurrent with the construction of our home. With all the stress and issues we faced building our home, the one and only part of the project that went 100% perfectly was Kevin and his amazing team delivering a perfect product. He was on time, on budget, and flawless in coordinating and executing his schedule along side our builder. We interviewed 4 pool installers initially and invited 3 to present proposals with their design ideas, product details, and pricing. Grand Vista Pools checked all the boxes in each category. Kevin?s design was clean, functional, and gave us exactly what we wanted. He paid attention to the smallest details we discussed during our meeting and provided us with some great suggestions on features we did not consider, such as the mosaic design we incorporated into the bottom surface. His pricing and terms were very competitive as well. As far as construction went, Grand Vista Pools does what they promise, period. We did a complete and thorough reference check on each contractor. In talking to previous customers, all of them said Grand Vista Pools delivered their pool on time. You can add us to that list too. It does not take much looking around to find pool projects out there that seem to go on and on forever. I don?t know why some contractors put signs in the homeowner?s front year that would draw attention to their seemingly never ending project. In our case, schedule was a critical element of the project since it had to be coordinated with our homebuilding contractor. The pool and home had to come together without getting in the other?s way. With all those moving parts, our success was a result of Kevin and his team?s expertise and skill. His track record is no accident. He knows what he is doing and that is so important to know for anyone about to invest this much money in any project. The pool is absolutely beautiful and functions exactly as promised, but the highlight of our experience with Grand Vista Pools has been service and support after the sale. The technology and automation involved with pools today is incredible and Kevin went above and beyond anything that I expected. When I had mentioned that we were having a connection problem with the remote control PDA, he and an engineer from Jandy showed up at my house a week later and replaced the existing interface with their newest iAqualink control interface, and continued apologizing to me for all the trouble I had to go through. Recently, I purchased an automated robotic pool cleaner that kept getting stuck on the main floor drain covers. I emailed Kevin to ask if he had any suggestions because I read online that some people had replaced their drain covers with a low profile cover as one way to solve the issue. Without pause he said he would take care of it and sent his repair technician, who dove in and adjusted the height of the existing covers. Problem was solved and I did not have to look at any ugly white plastic replacement covers on our beautiful Pebble Tec finish. There are so many other times when I would ping Kevin for his opinion or to bounce an idea off of him. He always responded to me right away and always had great information and ideas. His communication and responsiveness is more than you could ask for. That type of service commitment is something that you rarely see these days and it goes to show you what kind of integrity this company is built on. After the first meeting with Kevin, he got back to us with a pool design (including a raised paver deck area) that was exactly what we were looking for. We had other quotes and designs presented to us, but kept going back to Kevin's design. At our initial meeting, he seemed very organized, and that was another deciding factor for us in selecting him. The entire process was a piece of cake. Kevin is very professional and was involved with all of the details. He is Grand Vista Pools. He did the design, coordinated the subcontractors, and visited the site several times. He kept me up to date on when things were scheduled to be done. If he told me someone would be out to work, sure enough, they were out working. I knew I could count on his word. The quality was something I never questioned either. The pre-sales and construction process was handled in a professional and timely manner keeping the customer informed throughout the entire process. Construction process and schedule was performed with the customer in mind. There was a pre-construction and milestone education at contract signing that made the endeavor calming and stress free from beginning to end. The customer is kept informed throughout and given ample time to make adjustments during construction. The best experience we ever had involving a contractor and subcontractors. The end result of this project is exactly what we were looking for. Our backyard was completely transformed from an area that we minimally used to a beautiful outdoor living space. We started with getting estimates from three companies. All estimates were relatively close in price and we selected Grand Vista solely on their referrals. I knew quite a few people on their referral list and each of them had nothing but good things to say about their experience with Grand Vista. Kevin Shipp, the owner, was very attentive to details and was with us throughout the entire process. He is also a general contractor and not just a sales guy; this went a long way in making me feel comfortable with the process in that it was clear he knew what he was doing. He would update me often via email or text on the schedule. Anytime I reached out to him, he would respond in a timely manner (often in the middle of the evening). We put in a 38' pool, large spa, pavers, and a large screen enclosure. It took approximately 6 weeks and all the timelines where hit as promised. I was also provided with a money back guarantee that he would be completed by a certain date. Who does that unless they are confident in their ability? I would recommend Grand Vista to anyone.

We had another pool company (Whitewater Pools and Spas) put in a pool/spa and patio. They were horrible to say the least and left us with an unfinished, un-inspected mistake filled mess. Grand Vista Pools was so kind and came out and helped us get the mistakes corrected and every thing finished.
