Ed Staib Quality Painting

Weather was our biggest issue. Storms throughout the summer continued to require that we reschedule the start of our work. With each reschedule, Ed contacted us in advance and we easily found new start times. When the work started Ed arrived on schedule and worked diligently until the job was complete. From my description of the job, it is easy to tell that this job required special expertise in addressing the various issues on the walls themselves. Ed knew just the proper products and had the professional skill to solve all of them. Walls were scraped, resealed and stucco was repaired. Amy, Ed's wife, is an expert in doing detail work. It was done to perfection. Their son also works with his mom and dad. Again, a polite gentleman and skilled craftsman. We are so happy with the work done and have complete confidence in its quality. Oh, and the issue of color, just ask Amy. Along with Ed and their son's expertise, we selected on a combination of colors that looks wonderful.....I was a little afraid at first because some darker shades were selected (remember, I'm a plain vanilla girl). Trust the Staibs, they really know what they are doing. They replaced all our old door hardware and spray painted all the french doors/ windows. The outside of our house looks brand new and we've had numerous compliments from neighbors. Next year we're doing the inside of the house, I'm going to get on their schedule. Wouldn't have anyone else complete the work.

Ed, his wife Amy and son, EJ, did a wonderful job on everything stated above. Were accommodating, professional and willing to offer suggestions as well as being truly a nice family. I would definitely hire them again.

Ed , along with his wife and son,did a great job. This is a family operation so they don't send out a crew to do the work, they do it themselves. They were very happy to address any concerns we had and took care of them right away. Very knowledgeable and left our home and property clean and looking like new. We couldn't be happier with the results!

I have used Ed and Amy for several years. Today they are repairing my popcorn ceilings, but they have done many jobs for me over the years. They are so courteous, skilled, punctual and such a fair price. One of the best service providers on Angies List! In fact, they are outstanding. They also are so clean! He completed additional add on projects, including front porch floor and trimming back house foliage, at a reasonable cost and efficiently. I could not have asked for more!! We had outdoor carpeting glued to our 14' x 33' concrete patio floor, a few feet away from our pool. The carpeting was nice for the first few years, but cleaning and maintenance became a problem. Algae and mold grew quickly since it didn?t dry in many areas that were shaded by the patio roof. When we had channel drains installed to facilitate drainage during our hard summer rainstorms, we ripped up the degrading carpet. The glue used to permanently adhere carpet outdoors is a thick, brownish-orange glue. Once our carpet was ripped up, the remains of the glue was permanently adhered to and had stained the patio Kool Deck surface. Our choices were to completely resurface the patio floor, or just have it painted. We preferred the simpler route. Unfortunately, several painters we interviewed did not want to tackle the job. They were afraid that nothing in their arsenal would adhere to the old glue. Then Ed came over. He was experienced with painting driveways and used a primer that would ?stick to ANYTHING!? That sold me. We discussed the options and details and he sent me a proposal and time-frame that I accepted. Ed, Amy, and EJ first pressure-washed the patio floor, getting up as much glue and debris as they could. That was a mess! After pressure-washing they hosed off everything including debris that splashed on the walls and windows. The second day they applied the primer. The third day they caulked holes and cracks then applied the first coat of paint, carefully taping or cutting-in the edges and around the drains. Unfortunately, the color I requested looked awful once it completely covered the floor. It?s difficult to visualize what 14? x 33? is going to actually look like from a 2? x 2? sample! I scrambled to find a suitable color match instead, and called Ed to request a replacement color. He had no problem with that and came over that evening and picked up the sample of the next color. The fourth day he had the color matched and applied a sample of that color. It was perfect so he continued and applied the first coat of the new color. The fifth day he applied the final coat of the new color, with a non-slip additive in the paint (basically sand). Of course, the estimate he initially provided had to be increased due to the additional paint and labor. The result is beautiful. Ed and his family-crew really cared about the quality of the job and it was important for them that I was happy. I re-hired them to paint the floor of our entrance-way and they again did an outstanding job.

Everything turned out excellent. Ed and his family did an outstanding job in painting my mother-in-laws house. We found Ed on Angie's list and based on his professionalism, work ethic and his friendly deme noir, I highly recommend him for painting whether it's inside or outside. Pricing was important, but not the main reason we selected him. His proposal was 4 pages long and detailed everything that was to be done. Can't say enough about this company and would only hire him should we need additional painting.

I have a living area, family room, living room approximately 900 square feet and wanted to completely change the 'look'. I contacted 4 companies and was most impressed by Ed, a family business he workd=s with his wife and son. They painted all the walls and interior trim, their work is excellent, I'm extremely happy with the results. They were professional, friendly and worked late over a weekend to finish the job, leaving home spotless.

Their written proposal was incredible (like none we've ever seen)...every detail of the job was spelled out thoroughly. They were extremely professional, always friendly, helpful with our color selection process, and their workmanship far exceeded our expectations (they were extremely meticulous). Ed and Amy were punctual each day and returned everything to its place at the end of the day, so that it was hard to tell they had even been here. Great care was taken of our home and furnishings during the entire process, too. We are so excited to have a new look...thanks Ed and Amy!

I was disappointed with the response when asking for a quote. I am a property manager for several high end rental Condo's on a local beach. As soon as I mention the words "rental condo's", he shut me down and would only comment about how cheap that owners want the work done. I started to try and explain that this is not the case with the several that I would like quotes on but it fell on deaf ears. I am sure he is very nice and good at what he does, I just feel that the customer should at least be heard and not judged the way I feel I was not to mention the owners that I represent who spend a lot of money to ensure the units are kept in first class condition for their guests. Maybe they do not need any work right now or maybe I called at the wrong time on the wrong day, I would like to think so. Hopefully your experience will not be the same. I will not be using this company.

Ed and his wife gave us a very professional proposal including every step of the job, the start date and time, the cost of materials and the labor plus the amount of time it would take to complete the job. We found them to be not only friendly and trust worthy but they did an excellent job and used quality materials to paint the exterior of my home. They patched area's that needed to be repaired and they painted the doors, and the chimney using the color choices we made. We are very pleased with their work, their professionalism and the quality of materials and work.

We are using them again, soon, on another house we are buying. They will be doing even more work of different nature for us in that house! We cant' say enough good things about Ed & Amy. They were a nice couple to work with; very professional; their proposal was reasonable and very thorough. It stated exactly what work was to be performed and what materials they would be using. The layers of paint & wallpaper in our daughter's bedroom was a "royal pain" to remove; but they got the job done and were meticulous in getting the walls prepped properly for the new coat of paint. The accent wall in the master bedroom was added just a few days before the job was to start. They were very accommodating and emailed me the additional cost & materials that would be needed for this addition. Our bedroom and accent wall look great! We are very pleased with the results and plan on using them again. We would not hesitate to recommend Ed & Amy to our family and friends. In fact, I have already passed on their name & number to a family member. Thanks so much, Ed & Amy!

This husband and wife team spent 2 1/2 days painting. They removed most of the door most of which where louvered and difficult to paint. They were very efficient and quiet. They cleaned up after themselves. The painting was very well done. They were very meticulous. Although their estimate was the highest of three I received I choose them because of the amount of time and detail the spent on evaluating the job. The estimate was very detailed and professional. The quality of their work was a reflection of the quality of their estimate. I would recommended them without hesitation.

We had a water leak in the wall between the closet and the bathroom. After the repair was done and the hole in the wall (from the repair) was completed I called Ed. The bedroom was no empty and we had to remove the carpeting because of the water, so it was a perfect time to have the room painted. Ed came out with his wife and had the room painted with two coats of primer (because it had been so long since it had been painted) all in one day! He did a great job and cleans up afterwards.

Ed was very prompt with an estimate. He accommodated us with our requests and was on schedule. He and his wife do a very nice job of making sure that everything is painted correctly, appropriately and to our satisfaction! Clean up was wonderful and after it was all done - we certainly appreciated the inspection afterward. Offers to follow up with touch up after we had our gutters installed was also very much appreciated. They both do a great job!

All went well and I would use them again.

Ed was on time for his estimate. I received a complete quote listing all items to be done. His pricing was the best, but not ridiculously so. We scheduled the work to be done about 3 weeks later. He and his staff were prompt and ready to go. The work was excellent. He finished the job on time, and left everything perfectly clean. I will definitely use him again. I went out of my way to tell him to feel free to use me as a reference.
