+ 1 moreThey came out and did the work but they never even pulled a permit to do the work. I had someone else come out and they could spot at least 15 issues with the installation from Coolquest. There is so much wrong that the company who came out can't even write out everything that is wrong. Now I have to contact the city to come out and look at everything. Since I've called back the guy is annoyed and has a horrible attitude about coming back to fix the bad work he did. He even wants more money to come back just to fix the damage he started. The inspector who came out even said that he would be afraid to live with the work this company did. The salesman just kept coming out trying to sell us everything he possibly could. Do not use this company.
Description of Work: My father has been using this company for several years now. He thought they did a good job but in reality they aren't doing a good job at all. They told my father that he needs all new duct work in his upstairs. They even requested the full amount before the work started.

Description of Work: While the rep showed up in a timely fashion, the quotation we received was for compressor work that was not required as confirmed by two other service providers. We have a five-year no hassle full warranty on equipment (compressor and air handler) which was installed by Coolquest yet we we received an outrageous quotation for a compressor replacement in excess of $1200. There is also a pro-rated 10-year warranty as well and the unit is exactly four years old. The factory confirmed we would have been covered in full if the compressor did need replacement (as confirmed by two other local providers). The manufacturer confirmed their warranty would be honored as long as we use ANY licensed HVAC technician. We were then told we would probably need a replacement capacitor. In checking with another provider, I followed their instructions to test the capacitor using my multimeter and a visual inspection (looking for a "bulge" at the top of the capacitor) yet all was fine. This was confirmed by an onsite technician from a third provider recommended by Angie's List; he confirmed my test (and inspected the remaining components). Finally, the Coolquest technician indicated he would install a "free" surge suppressor on the unit when they did the replacement. Nice of them to do so. However, the unit was installed with the suppressor as standard equipment. And - oh yes - it, too, worked within its design limits when tested. Based on this information, I suggest you consider obtaining a second (or third) professional opinion. The work, obviously, was NOT performed.

+ -1 moreTook 3 days to install, which was put inside a bedroom. They were overloaded with work from other counties. Company gave me timely payments, which were made on time. Never called to follow up on needed service calls. I called them and spoke to a lady. I asked that they tell Credit Reports about my payments. Lady said " do we have to?" Will not disclose lady's name. I chose to use another company.
Description of Work: New 3 ton, 13 seer hurricane pad & straps (?) Tempstar A/C, replaced breakers of some kind. Have my copy.

+ 0 moreMark came the house on 9/10/2014 and gave us an evaluation on the problem we were having with the A/C. We thought it was the thermostat but it was more than that. Walter showed up as promised on the 11th and replaced the contactor, the condencent pump and the cap. The unit needed cleaning badly and they used 2.5 lbs of R22 freon. Walter was there for over three hours and when he left the A/C was blowing ice cold air.
