Company misrepresented themselves as contractors, they gave an estimate of $13,000 & went into contract April 2017. They showed up one day then disappeared for weeks. Work was substandard, materials not what is contracted for. Now left with damaged exterior to my home, my existing lighting was ripped out, refuses to complete installation and connection of outdoor lighting, protected outlet and exterior fan that I paid up front for, Pavers have not been sealed, major leaks in roof of room, construction plans never given to me (additional cost of $750 to me). Irrigation system needs extensive repairs due to this construction. Initially Clegg Group stated they would make any adjustments necessary to the system as a result of the work. Jeff Clegg collected a total of $18,686 now refuses to repair or complete this project or return my property that was removed from my home in error. This is a scam artist preying upon disabled senior citizens.

I was not familiar with flooring, so I did not realize that they did not even miter the corners, he filled them in with colored glue. It looks awful!!! He did not replace all of the sub flooring that he said he would. Since then I had have new sub floor replaced that was not completed by them. I also could see around the edge of my sub flooring and see outdoors!!! (I had cable installed and they found this) they did not put the floor flush against the wall, only my rug was covering it. This was in two rooms. They filled in the entire gap (along one) with a spray that hardens. We had words and I will never use them again, of course!!!!!

They do a professional job, and make sure everything is cleaned up and put away when they are done.

Jeff and his firm provided lawn service, shrub trimming, fertilization/insecticide, and pool service for us for the last year. In addition we did many special projects of landscaping/sprinkler repair,etc. By and large the work they did was very good, or we wouldn?t have continued to use them or do so many other projects. I wanted to have the thatch taken out of the lawn, and Jeff billed me and I paid in advance for ?core aeration?. It was $250 for this service plus an additional $80+ to haul away the waste. I was out of town, and came home to a lawn that had not had core aeration nor verticut. It may have been lightly power raked, but certainly not anything close to core aeration or verticutting It certainly didn?t remove the thatch. When I questioned Jeff about it in an email to set up a time to talk, he responded by terminating us, which is certainly his right. He stated he didn?t have time to bump heads with us, and then lied in stating we had been rude to his crew (we both work during the day, have seen them once and said hello). The interesting thing about the timing of firing us is that it was 10 days before he was to replace sod on one side of the home that was wiped out by sod web worms, even though his firm was responsible for insect control. Our neighbor on the same side lost his entire front yard and side yard next to us from the same infestation (and was also a client of Jeff?s). Jeff refused to make good on the neighbor?s sod, and instead of fighting it, my neighbor just terminated Jeff. Perhaps Jeff learned his lesson, or the fact that the sod he was to replace in our yard was a fairly small area (maybe one pallet) led him to agree that he would replace it since it was their fault. Overall... the work Jeff?s firm did was pretty good, but since I had the gall to ask questions about an expensive service that wasn?t performed as billed, he took his marbles and went home, and has refused to make good on the core aeration or sod replacement. I wouldn?t refer this firm to my worst enemy given the lack of ethics and professionalism from the owner. If anyone thinks I?m difficult to work with or seeking vengeance, I have kept all copies of email and text message correspondence. You be the judge!
