Bayside Roofing

I had a tile roof that was showing its age, Bayside was one of 11 contractors I received an estimate from. I could not be happier. I wanted to go with an architectural shingle instead replacing with tile. Estimates were all over the place as far as cost. I knew what I wanted and told each contractor what I wanted , Bayside went over everything with me and had one of the best prices, some contractors wanted 3-5K more and one wanted 9K more. Financing was simple and the rate was very good through a third party finance company. I was impressed with the professionalism of Patrick and the company as a whole. They started shortly after the contract was signed, permits were pulled , materials were delivered and crews were here first thing in the morning to start the tear off of my tile roof. My roof looks outstanding now, the lines are razor sharp, ridge vents were added to keep attic temps down. Underlayment was peel and stick so I will have an insurance discount now. I also had extra insulation blown in while they had the roof off. It was great having the high degree of workmanship done on my house by Bayside. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing roof work done.

Their advertisement claims to be on Angie's List. That is why I selected Bayside Roofing. Owner Patrick Hloska assured me they had a professional crew and would be able to take care of any problems around that chimney when I expressed concern prior to signing the contract. Due to age of roof the contract was signed 5/24/17 . I had no leaks at this point. According to contract new chimney flashing was to be included. Shingles were delivered without any warning around 8/3/17. Work began the following week finishing on 8/11/17. I left on a planned vacation 8/15/2017. According to Neighbors It rained about every day while I was gone. When I returned 8/29/17 I found water soaked carpet in my closet next to the fire place, and approximately 2 feet x 8' inside the bedoom, soaked sheet rock so bad it stunk. An opening around the chimney which was created by this company, allowed water to pour down along side the chimney. I called them immediately when their office opened on 8/30 around 9:00 a.m.. They sent a repairman out immediately and he said he repaired the leak however we had a very hard rain that evening and water poured in again so much I needed a mop and bucket to catch the water. The field supervisor told me they would repair the damage inside as soon as they stopped the leak around the chimney. After many calls they finally installed new flashing around the north and the west side of the chimney only in October refusing to go all the way around. After more telephone calls 2 weeks before Thanksgiving the blackened sheet rock etc. inside the closet was replaced. 10/24 a crew came out and repaired some stucco damage. I telephoned the office to ask when the repairs would be done on the inside damage. I was told that they not only was not going to repair the damage but they would be sending me a bill for the stucco done on the exterior of the chimney. I explained that I did not request them to do any repair on the stucco and I did not have a leak until they replaced the roof. The lady said she was told the leak was created by deteriorating stucco and they were intending to send a bill to me for the stucco. If new flashing would have been installed as per contract flashing would have been behind any existing stucco. Andy, the field supervisor told me to get an estimate on replacing the carpet and color for the stucco repair. I faxed the stucco paint color and an estimate from Wolfe's Flooring quoting $1,601.93 for replacing the damaged carpet removing old carpet and disposing old carpet on 11/30/2017. As of 1/19/2018 I have not received any compensation on the damaged carpet.. Cost was $12,515.

All ended up well. The popus are gone and the roof is safe from rain water now.
