While there was about a 2 week lag between estimate and the actual repair (this may have been due to the weather more than anything else) everything else regarding their service was top notch. They responded to my questions promptly and fixed the problem permanently.

THEY ARE AWESOME! My homeowners insurance dropped us because of the number of sinkholes in our county. My new insurance company required a roof inspection. I had months of notice, but the inspector did not come to the house until a week before my insurance was about to expire (he says that there was a mix up in their office and they thought it was already done until they tried to provide the pictures and there were none). I found out that, because of some tiles sliding out of place, they would not insure it until it was fixed. I was FRANTIC. I must have called a dozen places, but Bartlett came out on the Saturday before a holiday to give us an estimate. I considered it a good price, especially since it was the only estimate I could get! And they came out two days before the deadline, fixing it, and providing all the inspection documentation I needed - all in one day. Everyone who came to my house was very courteous and fast. Like I said, they are awesome.

Called for an estimate Allen, the owner, came out on 3/7/11 We decided to go with his company and called him back. Allen came back for signatures and all was well. The following Monday he called and asked to do the job the next day. As my husband and I work evenings we had to schedule ahead and said no. Later that day I called to schedule and left a voicemail. No response. I called 2 more times that week, still no response. I left a 3rd voicemail to say we were considering going elsewhere, still no response. On Easter weekend ( we know no one worked on that weekend) to say we were no longer going to use his company. That Monday he called back upset at the message and wanted reimbursement for the permit that was pulled. We agreed to pay it. We called 2-3 times the next week because the check hadn't been cashed and no response. Last Monday(5/9/11) we received a call from Debbie to say they only received the check on Friday 5/6/11. I went to the County Office to change the permit myself since they still hadn't done that. We had such a good feeling about this company only to find them to be so unreliable. We were afraid if there was a problem we would really never see or hear from them again.

They were a no-show/no-call. A week later, his secretary called and said what about tomorrow, and I'd already found someone else.

I will be registering a similar story of satisfaction for Bayside General Contractors under their name.

Great experience. We had water leaking around the fireplace area and wall of bedroom. We contacted Bartlett Roofing and they came out as promised and assessed the situation. They determined the shingles and flashing around the fireplace chimney and kitchen vents were not sufficient. Our house is only five years old and did not expect this type of problem. Bartlett Roofing corrected the problem and we were very happy with the prompt service and professional service.

They were fantastic. When we had a problem they came out and fixed it. There was still a problem and they came back and fixed that as well.. Allen the owner is especially curtious and a very responsible business person. He is a dedicated professional at getting the job done. They stood behind their work.

I called Bartlett roofing to come out and give me a quote for a new roof as I had some serious leaks. Steve showed up on time and did a more thorough inspection than the others on the current roof and gave me a written quote for a full replacement with 8 vents being added. I had a total of 6 roofing companies come out and provide me quotes to compare pricing. Bartlett was not the least expensive company, but I decided to hire them because of their fixed price and that they had excellent remarks on Angie’s List. The fixed price for the roof felt like an insurance policy for me “The home owner” knowing that I would not be on the hook for extra thousands of dollars due to unseen damaged wood. Steve and his crew showed up right at 8:00am and had the entire roof completed by 5:30pm that same day. The job they did looks great and with the new venting they put in our home is already cooler. The real test came a few days after the install when we received our first down pour of rain. Not a single leak anywhere! Thank you Steve and the Bartlett roofing crew, ya’ll did a great job and surpassed my expectations. The only thing I would recommend to anyone thinking of staying in the home while the roof is being replaced would be to invest in some Ibuprofen and note that watching TV was out of the question. Steve and his crew were tenacious non-stop workaholics!

We received an estimate from Barrett, and although they were very prompt, professional, and courteous, we went with another AL contractor who's estimate was approx. 30% less.

An honest and professional roofing company! Alan Bartlett was hands on from the first phone call til the job was done! He showed up personally to look at our roof and make suggestions and give an estimate. When the work started he was here to supervise and go over the work. His workers were professional, knowledgeable, and very polite. They went over and above our expectations!

Bartlett roofing did a great job. We had several leaks in our roof that had damaged the plywood foundation. I received quotes from three top rated roofing companies and Bartlett roofing was the only one with a price with no surprises. My roof needed anywhere from 5-12 sheets. All the other companies charged around $40 per sheet which could have raised the price $300-$500 dollars. It did not matter if Bartlett had to replace all the plywood the price would not change! His team was fast and neat. They cleaned up the work site well. Alan even sent a screen guy to replace the screen that they had to open to get the job done. I told him that would not be necessary and that it had already been replaced by another company for only $60 dollars. He insisted that he pay and his secretary sent me a check for the $60 dollar screen replacement. If you are looking for a family owned roofing company that goes above and beyond and really cares about doing the job right the first time so they won't have to come out and repair it, then definitely give them a call!!

I highly recommend them. They could have made a big job out of it but they did not. They were honest. The person who came brought an assistant with him and asked me to pay him according to my wish. They were really good people.

They were unbelieveably good. They made the whole process so easy. Wick, the rep, was professional to deal with. The work was done in 8 hours and completely cleaned up. It was excellent.

I had several estimates and this company bid the lowest. They did a nice job on the replacement roof. They even made a special trip back to my house for a thorough cleanup. They used a magnet to find any stray nails.

He fixed it! And did so much cheaper than I was prepared to pay. When we had a bad rain storm, he phoned to make sure the repair was holding.

Even though there was a little extra work, he stayed with the quoted price.

Overall, it was good. When they were tearing the roof off, the guy told me they were going to replace all of the bad wood. I went up and checked under the felt paper and found some bad wood they had not replaced. He did address the problem after I brought it to his attention, passed it off on his workers, but I still felt there were a couple of questionable areas. They covered everything with felt paper so quickly that it was very difficult to tell if they had replaced all the bad wood. They did the work fast, completed within 6 hours, and the work looks good. I just had the feeling that if I hadn't watched them do the work, they would have taken short cuts. They did a very good job with clean up and the roof passed inspection.

I appreciated Bartlett Brothers Roofing's honesty, professionalism and punctuality in keeping the estimate appointment and the actual work appointment. I would recommend them to anyone.

Supplies delivered to rooftop two days prior to repair. On scheduled work date had a crew of approximately twenty workmen arrive and begin work, re-shingling the roof and adding additional ridge vents. Job was completed within 4-5 hours of starting including cleanup and inspection of surrounding area for any hazardous materials (nails, etc.). Would highly recommend this company.

Alan Bartlett was knowledgeable and competent. He used higher quality materials than is customary, did a very good job, and cleaned up after the work. I selected him, in part, on the basis of Angie's List comments and I am very satisfied. I would recommend him.

The reason we picked this company was that the price included everything, no hidden costs. The workmen were prompt and cleaned up after themselves. Alan Bartlett is great! He takes pride in his work and everything has to live up to his expectations. I would recommend.

REPAIRED A HOLE IN THE ROOF - DUE TO POOR WORKMANSHIP WITH THE ORIGINAL BUILDER. ALSO, AS THE ORIGINAL BUILDER ONLY INSTALLED ABOUT 4' OF RIDGE VENT - THEY ADDED ANOTHER 30' - YES THOSE NUMBERS ARE CORRECT! I THOUGHT I NEEDED A WHOLE NEW ROOF - HE EXPLAINED THE PROBLEMS - FIXED THEM VERY TIMELY AND NEATLY - I SPENT $975 - INSTEAD OF $12,000 OTHERS ESTIMATED FOR ME - HE WAS THE ONLY ONE TO RECOMMEND THE REPAIR - SAID THE ROOF HAS ANOTHER 4-5 YEARS LEFT ON IT! I WILL RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYBODY!! HE ALSO EXPLAINED BY HAVING THE RIDGE VENTS THE ROOF WILL LAST LONGER - WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OTHER COMPANIES THAT DID ESTIMATES - NONE SAID ADD RIDGE VENTS TO THE NEW ROOF!?

ALLAN WAS VERY RESPONSIVE AND QUICKLY IDENTIFIED THE SOURCE OF THE LEAK. VERY EASY TO WORK WITH. ALLAN'S WORKERS WERE PROFESSIONAL AND CLEANED UP THE SITE THOROUGHLY. I WAS REFERRED TO ALLAN BARTLETT BY BARTLETT BROTHERS ROOFING.
