Dean diagnosed the problem, (rusted our air handler) and made temporary repair until I arrange for a replacement system. We have used Dean since the he installed the system for the builder in 2001. I find him to be very competent, honest and prompt when he is needed. And my wife agrees!

The unit was checked and the compressor when hot ground out internally. I decided to replace the entire unit not just the compressor. The unit was replaced in about 2 hours and it works as intended. Dean did an excellent job with the installation and clean-up.

I would not recommend them. I do have a little back of a background in construction. I just think that he does not really want to do the work. He has always gotten excuse why it does not work and it is not his fault. This is the second time we have had freon put in the unit. I just don't think he takes the time. The other issue I have is that he really did not want to deal with me. He wants to talk to my husband. They did go ahead and put more freon in. The next time there is an issue I will be looking up new service providers.
Description of Work: My air conditioner went out. It is the most recent thing that I have had repaired. I used A Plus SVC within the last month. I have had ongoing air conditioning problems. They are the company that installed all the equipment when the house was built.

Response from A PLUS SVC
I was very surprised to read the comments of Mrs (for their privacy we are not allowed to put the customers name). We have intalled over 700 systems in that area, I have been working in that area for over 21 years and do my best to keep my customers satisfied. The house in question did have a problem with their smaller zoned system. After the house was completed, the owners requested a larger system. We put a larger one in free of cost to them. They had electrical problems, after a storm, with the zoning and electric heat. I changed their thermostats and relay on their heater. Their indoor motor seized up while I was out of town and I sent an employee to change the motor so they didn't have to wait until I returned. There was a leak on the coil 3 years ago which was repaired and refrigerant added. The most recent call was for a totally different problem, there was a leak on a valve that I repaired and refrigerent was added. These problems seem excessive on a 6 year old system, unfortunately, sometimes it happens. I did not manufacture the system and I have no control over storms and electrical power failures. I am and have always been available when called and I have taken care of the problems as soon as I was called. I am sorry that the wife feels that I don't want to deal with her and only talk to her husband. I usually only deal with her as her husband is usually busy doing something else. This last time however, the husband was the one that called for the service and answerered the door when we arrived. He is a very intelligent and knowledgeable man. The wife came home when the job was completed and went straight into her house. I had no idea she needed to speak to me. I am very sorry the wife feels the way she does. I have always tried to act in a professional manner and keep my customers satisfied with my work at all times. Hopefully, they won't have any futher problems with their A/C systems.
