Crawford Electric

This was my first time using Crawford Electric, which I did based on their excellent reviews on Angie's List. The technicians, Mark and Nathan, arrived on time and got the job done quickly. They both seemed knowledgeable and acted professionally. They even dealt successfully with an active wasp nest "hiding" in one of the old fixtures. Am very satisfied and would definitely use this company again.

Great guy, explained the problem with my wiring (A rodent had chewed it). And fixed it correctly by putting in a junction box, and joining the wire versus just splicing the wire back together like I would have done. Good price for a hard, hot job in the attic.

Went very well. Showed up at scheduled times.

At first the job went terrible. One of the two Crawford workers sexually harassed one of our employees in a different language only to not know that our employee spoke that same language. Crawford responded immediately, apologizing to our employee, terminating the worker that made the comments, and sending a new team out. The rest of the job was performed superbly.

Very well. Contractor arrived and did the work on time and on budget. Am looking to have them do more work for me as I write this.

When the fella first arrived he wasn't aware that he was installing a light fixture over a billiard table even though we had clearly communicated that fact when we called the office to make the appointment. At first he was going to put a drop cloth on the billiard table and stand on the table to install the light fixture. When we told him we didn't want him standing on the table he seemed uncertain how to proceed. He called back to his office and someone brought another step ladder out with a plank that they used to straddle the table. From there, the job proceeded normally. They had to cut a hole in the wall to run a wire for the wall switch but they patched the wall in a professional manner. All in all they did a nice job and we are pleased with the results.

The lighting is now bright enough to light up my entire working area in the kitchen but the brightness is not overpowering. (it has a softness to it.) This was an excellent recommendation from Mr. Crawford. I must say that he was gracious when I began asking him if he could do certain electrical tasks for me in the future - for which I should have realized are very basic electrical functions. His kindness and professionalism are much appreciated.

They came out and did the job, and it started up again shortly thereafter. I called them back, and they came back out very quickly to correct the issue. It wasn't a perfect service, but I was happy with their follow-through and responsiveness. I would recommend them!

We were extremely pleased with them. The guys couldn't have been more professional and courteous. They contacted us right away, and they followed up very well. I had trouble opening a receipt and they helped me with that. They also didn't give me any trouble with the coupon I had. The called for follow up to make sure everything was okay. They were very easy to work with. I was very happy with them.

Mr. Crawford was very prompt and called about 1-hour prior to let us know he was on his way. He diagnosed our problem and replaced several outside outlets with CFIs, and replaced the burned-out fuse in our fuse box panel. He was in-and-out in about 30-minutes.

I guess having an appointment doesn't mean anything to this company. I had an appointment time between 1 and 2pm. When I left my church work day at 11:30, I noticed that I had a missed call from 11:13am, but no message. We arrived home at noon and waited until 2:45 with no call and no electrician. Later in the afternoon we opened the front door and a Crawford business card floated to the ground. If you couldn't come at the appointment time, why not leave me a voice mail so that I don't waste my afternoon waiting for nothing. My time is valuable too.

The entire experience with Crawford was wonderful. It was extremely easy to schedule an appointment at a convenient time, they were on-time for the walk-through, and very helpful during the process. The work was performed on the scheduled day/time and was done extremely well. I will go back to Crawford for all of our future electrical needs.

The guy came and he was competent and he did his work and that was fine, but he kind of had an attitude that I didn’t care for.

Another excellent experience with Crawford Electric! My husband and I first used them about a year ago (via a coupon on Angie's list) and since then we have called each time we had an electrical matter. This experience was equally as great as the first time!! Thank you Crawford Electric, my husband and I will absolutely call again when we need an electrician (Oh - work performed - the RFI switch in the garage was faulty. A new one was installed and we were back in business)!!

They are very knowledgeable and do excellent work. I spent $330.

Installation of a ceiling fan on a 16 foot high ceiling was quoted $150. While the first visit was failed to install because of the unsafe ladder they bought, they came again after about a week. Although the ceiling fan was properly installed, there are 2 undisclosed surcharges were added to the bill. One was the additional $20 for a fan with remote control and additional $50 for trimming the down rod I bought from Lowes. The truth is they already knew that it is a remote control fan and mentioned that they will cut the down rod for free during the first visit. But they did not disclose about those surcharges only after doing it during the second visit. I original asked Jeff to replace 2 receptacles in the powder room and those were properly installed in about 10 min which costed $60 (parts and labor). After that I told him there is another non-functional receptacle at the wet bar needed to be replaced. It told him another 5 min to replace it. However, instead of $30, it showed up as $75 in the bill. Later on he explained the additional $45 is the diagnostic fee which he basically spent 30 second to switch on/off the power from the main panel. The whole experience is really frustrating and felt cheated with all these undisclosed surcharges.

Crawford Electrics staff arrived early, we're professional and courtesy and did troubleshooting of a range of issues. They explained problems with the electrical system to me well and helped me find a reasonable low cost solution to my needs. I would definitely use them again.

THANK YOU. As I told Jeff on the phone, this was my nightmare project, a supposed 2-week bathroom remod that turned into 3 months of disaster. Crawford was the 3rd electrical contractor to come in, and the only one that was able to competently and quickly finish the job. Along with the electrical work in bathroom remod, I wanted all the switches in my house changed over to more modern looking glamour switches, and I needed an area in my dining room where the outlets were dead looked at. I had a couple of ceiling fans that needed replacing and the previous Angie's List contractor (who had great reviews) failed at most of these tasks. I was thrilled that Jeff (the owner) walked in, gave me a detailed and itemized online estimate to review, and scheduled the work immediately. The electricians came - and I was called 30 minutes prior - they did their work efficiently, and even called when they needed to run long at lunch because they were retrieving parts needed for my shower. Very nice communication. Excellent customer service! And when it came time to pay, I asked about an Angie's List discount, and got a nice extra bit off the bill. To be honest, I suspect I was taken for a ride by the previous electrician on Angie's List. I only wish I would have called Crawford Electric first.
