"Thank you for the kind words"
"Thank you for your kind words this means the world to me and my staff."
"The above negative review from this repair only Customer is not factual. The truth about what happened is this Customer purchased a pool pump from us in October of last year. They called in January of this year stating the motor was loud. We told them that the motor has a one year warranty and that we would send out the warranty company to take a look at it so then there would be NO cost to the Customer. The Customer did not want to work through the warranty company for a reason we don't know so that is when we instructed them if we were to come out there would be a charge and that they should just let the warranty company fix at no cost. Well instead the Husband decided he was going to fix it (as stated by there email ) and then by him doing so caused a separation of the PVC causing the leak. They once again called us to tell us that they worked on the pump by themselves and now there was a leak. We once again informed them that if they would have just called the warranty company that all would have been fixed at no cost. But instead they were now looking for us to fix the leak that they state ( per email ) started after the Husband worked on it himself. We did instruct them that there would be a charge to fix the leak they caused. We stand up to the products we install and our office staff will go out of the way to fix things but the Manufacture wants there people fixing issues with there equipment and we follow those rules. We install probably 250 pumps per year and I can say for sure this is the only one that didn't go as it should have. Please take the time to read the other reviews that will give you a better picture of my company. We are top rated on Angies list, the BBB, and Google and we won Best Pool Service in Naples the last 2 years running and this is voted on by our Customers. It is a shame that this Customer is unhappy but we did all we could do to try to help them."
"Thank You for your Positive Review."
"Wow, that's great news! Thank you for taking the time to write the kind review. Tina Arseneau - Owner"
"Thank you very much for the great review. We think Denise is the best too. Thank you for being a customer for one year! We try hard with our customers since there are so many pool service companies to choose from. If anything ever falls below your expectations please let me know. Tina Arseneau / Owner"
"Thank you very much for the great review. Thank you for being a customer for the last two years. If anything ever falls below your expectations please let me know. Tina Arseneau / Owner"
I then switched to Sweetwater - now my pool is always sparkling clear and clean. No hint of allege and with the twice a month vacuuming service, I've been able to put away my vacuum for good. My service specialist always arrives every Thursday without fail and is great about not only alerting me it problem with the pool, but also fixing them, or working with other contractors to get equipment fix. I have my filtration canister replaced after he noticed it was failing.
My only regret is that I didn't go to Sweetwater to begin with. They would have save me almost two years of pool related headaches, and swims in less than pristine water. They desire their very high rating here on Angie's List and have earned my "A" rating over the last 5 months. Have recommended them to several friends already and they are equally pleased.

We hired them to clean one of our properties' pools weekly. They cleaned the pool for about one year.
Today, the owner called and left a phone message to return his call, that there was "something wrong with the pool." I called him back at the office phone number provided within 5 minutes - and the office woman stated that he was gone for the day.
I advised that I was returning his phone call. She then belly ached to me about how this is what typically happens - the owner makes phone calls to customers and then leaves the office, leaving her alone to deal with something that she does not know about. I reiterated the phone message that there was "something wrong." She claimed that the pool had no suction - that the skimmer was not working. For one thing, there is NO "skimmer" installed at this pool. Regardless, she then says, "well - someone will have to go out to see what is wrong." I then replied, "and who would this 'someone' be?" I admit, I can be short at times - as I simply do not have the luxury of time to play games with people on the phone over something as simple and mundane as pool maintenance. If I was the owner of a pool company, I would NOT call a homeowner and leave a wimpy voice message stating there is something wrong with the pool and ask that they return the call. I would simply find out what the problem is and then contact the homeowner and advise the homeowner that the problem is XYZ and here are the options for bringing said pool equipment back to good working order. If you call me to advise that there is no suction - what can I tell you about that as a homeowner ???? If you're not a company who addresses these types of problems - then that kind of message can be relayed to the homeowner - e.g. there is a problem with the pool and you will need to get another pool company to go out and do a diagnostic test to determine what is wrong - as we only clean pools and nothing more. That was not the type of message we received, but when I called and she told me that "someone, would have to go out to the house" and I replied "who that someone might likely be" what kind of a response did I get ???? The woman on the phone decided to play psycho-analyst and asked me, "why are you so angry?" I wasn't angry - I am business-like in my demeanor, I am not their best friend, I am not their hairdresser - I am a very busy homeowner and simply do not have time to play games such as this. When I ask a legitimate question relating to their inquiry, their phone call interupting my busy schedule - then I expect a valid response - not a response back to me asking me "why I am so angry." Nor should I now be put on the defensive by some wacko office woman - who is on a power trip and wants to explore who I am and what makes me tick. I am a business woman, a homeowner - who I am is none of her business. Thankfully - she did not accuse me of "yelling" at her, but I'm sure that was coming next.
Yes, my response back to her - was a very quick profane verbiage as I then hung up the phone - for at that moment in time I had come to realize that I had had enough of this company and their antics. I officiated the termination with an e-mail, stating they were fired. I then received an e-mail from the owner of the company - laughable is what it was how he told me that I should be ashamed of myself and that they do not service pools for people who use such language as I used with the woman in his office and how he was glad to know that I was such a horrible person - so that he can no longer service our pool. My gosh - - - it's not a matter of who I think I am - it's a matter of who is it that you were suggesting was going to come out to the house to determine what was wrong with the pool suction. Are you a professional business owner with professional people working in the office or a bunch of weirdos who want to overstep their boundary lines by interrogating their customers - when their customers ask a legitimate question and have every right to anticipate a legitimate response which would have been, "we can come out to take a look or you can hire someone else to come out." If I had received either one of those responses - I then would have asked - then why are you calling me - do you need my permission to go out to the house in order to find out - why there is no suction ???
Save yourself the time and trouble from hiring these people. They make a big deal out of nothing. Like recently they fired one of their pool maintenance technicians - one who I thought actually did a fine job - they fired him - then the owner sent out a long
e-mail to all of his customers (did not even bother to use blind cc - so all of his other customers got to see my e-mail address and I their's which is really inappropriate) explaining how he was sorry that he had no choice but to terminate this guy because his performance was not up to their usual standards. Oh really - - - the guy he fired was as nice a guy you would want to meet (nicer than most) and he sure did everything all of the other guys did. I don't care really one way or the other, but to burden homeowners with a long e-mail about his internal affairs within his little pool company shows an abundance of immaturity to me amongst other things.
To the very best of my knowledge - according to my husband - the pool motor was replaced by this company, however the owner of the pool company says that within the year that they serviced the pool they did not replace anything at all - not even a filter. I find this perplexing - for a pool filter is something that should be changed every 6 months for basic maintenance - if the pool filter was never changed - then why not ??? Certainly no one ever slipped me an e-mail which said, "do we have your permission to change the pool filter" if so - I would have easily responded stating - "sure by all means - change the pool filter". I would even supply it for you and leave it out there by the pool if you like - just let me know the size and I will purchase one and have it ready for you to do the install. Nothing like that in the entire year we had them cleaning the pool. Yet, we would receive other e-mails having to do with the internal affairs of his company, having to do with his change in billing procedure or change in personnel, yet the things that really mattered (MY POOL) we never received any kind of e-mail informing us of their recommendation for anything, anything whatsoever. Now today - they bring me news that would suggest that my pool motor has burned up ??? Why because they failed to change the filter in all of this time - - - - I have no clue, until I have my new guy go out to the house and determine what was done during the past year. Is this what I hire and pay a pool company for - for an entire year ???
Response to Mr. Arseneau's rebuttal:
To make this simple - this owner is not telling the truth. They contacted us 1x in all of the months employed and it was exactly as I stated in my review. Turned out - MUCH was wrong with the pool equipment - but nothing really having to do with the "suction" as they claimed in their phone message. They never sent us any e-mails other than those I spoke of in my review - so again, this owner is not telling the truth. Further, yesterday morning I looked out the window to see his pool truck parked in front of my house. Why ? They were fired two weeks ago. What reason would his guy have for sitting in front of my house ???? I suspect retaliation for
"My name is James Arseneau and I am the Owner of Sweetwater Pool service and wanted to reply to this review personally. We have only serviced this customers pool for 10 months and in that period we have had only a few occasions to reach out and try to talk to them. All of those phone calls were never answered and our emails were never responded to. [removed member name]makes note to us changing equipment that we have not done and makes statements to the fact that we should have just changed her pool filter even though we didn't have permission to do so because she is a very busy business professional. With not knowing how she conducts her business, our policy is to get verbal or written permission from our Customers before spending their money. We do have a handful of Customers that over the years have stated that they trust us and that we could go ahead with repairs up to a certain price level without contacting them. For them we do this but we were never given this right from the [removed member name]. As a matter of fact we have 2 unanswered emails and 1 phone message asking to change there pool filter but we never received an answer. We don't take lack of communication from our Customers as authority to spend their money. If this was a case of a giant leak at the equipment and the pool water was flooding out the equipment area or something was causing damage to something else than we would have made a decision on behalf of our customer to make the repair to save them money in the end. But this was just a pool filter and we didn't even know how old it was because we have only been servicing the pool for 10 months. What's odd is that all of this could have been easily resolved if the [removed member name] would have just responded to our requests for communication to discuss the problems. She states that she is way to busy running her business to communicate with us but yet she has the hour it took her to right this nasty review.. Sweetwater Pool Service has earned the Angies list Super service award for 3 years and reached top status on the honor roll which is very hard to do. It certainly can't be done by making Customers unhappy. Also last year Sweetwater won the Naples Daily News award for Best pool service in all of Naples. This also is not easy since there are about 100 pool service providers in Naples. This award came from our Customers voting for us. Sweetwater is not a giant pool service so for the number of customer votes to exceed the votes from the big guys with 4-5 times the number of Customers is Huge. With this being said I would greatly appreciate if you as a disciplined buyer that has enough concern to be an Angies list customer would take the time to read our other reviews. In 6 years in business we have never had a customer this off the wall mad about something that we had no control over. When [removed member name] was angered by my Office Manager for what she says is an attempt at Psychology. I would ask what would you do if someone was yelling and swearing at you on the phone? Would you 1) yell and swear back? we chose not to. Would you 2) hang up the phone? we chose not to. or 3) would you try to calm the Customer down and ask her why she is so angry? that's what we did. Our reputation is at stake here and I want you to feel comfortable with us. Please check out our reviews on Angies list, Our Status with the largest paper in Naples and our triple A rating with the BBB. if that's not enough than just give us a call and see what you think. Please don't let the writings of a woman that needs anger management classes make your decision. James Arseneau"
