Glenn was extremely punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable about his service and product. He and his men worked for two days cleaning, repairing, and re-coloring the grout throughout our house. They did a great job, were neat, and tried not to inconvenience our use of the house while working. They were diligent and hard working at their job, while remaining friendly and available for questions or concerns. I have no hesitation to use Superior Floor Restoration again. I was very impressed with the fact he showed up every time WHEN he said he would. He emailed his estimate the same afternoon as his original visit, and his prices were quite reasonable when compared to other estimates. I used him initially because he was local, and I prefer to support local businesses, but we were not disappointed. My only advice to anyone considering this, be sure to sample the color you choose to confirm it is what you want.
Description of Work: We had the grout throughout our entire house (1500 sq. ft.) cleaned, repaired, and re-colored. The project required two full days. During the process, they moved all furniture and then replaced it. This was NOT concrete pouring. I don't know why it is listed that way. They do also DO concrete work, but this had nothing to do with concrete pouring.

The first day, the owner arrived on time and sanded the floor down to bare wood. He had said he would hang plastic sheets to keep the dust out of the rest of the house but changed his mind. Actually, there was some dust but it wasn't excessive. He machine-sanded with three grades of paper and then hand-sanded underneath the cabinets and along the walls. He also anchored the loose board. The next day, he put down the seal coat in the morning and in the afternoon the first coat of acryllic finish to which he added a hardening chemical. (When asked about "poly", he said it wasn't used anymore because it was environmentally toxic). The last day, he rescreened the floor and put down a second finish coat and screened the small wood floor at the front entrance and coated it. The quality of his work was excellent and the kitchen floor looks like new. Except for the cost, which I felt was somewhat high, we are very pleased with the job.
Description of Work: A year ago, Abbey Carpet recommended a person to us to refinish our wood kitchen floor. Originally installed in 1991, it had some deep scratches and the polyurethane finish was in poor condition in high use areas. We also had one loose board. The wood itself was red oak. We hired this individual, who screened the floor and put down one coat of an acryllic finish at a cost of $360.00. Within nine months, the new finish had worn completely away in some spots and was noticeably marred elsewhere. We then contacted Superior Floor Restoration which we found in the yellow pages. We picked them because they were close by and were one of the few firms listed that do refinishing. The owner came within a few days and gave us an estimate of $1500 for sanding, sealing and putting down two coats of "poly". A week later, he spent about three days doing the kitchen (approx 200 sq ft). He also screened a small area just inside the front door and put down one coat of "poly".
