+ -1 morePlease see above. I have to start from scratch finding another plumber now. They will not honor the price he initially gave me. They will not even tell me an estimate of when he could start the job. They are very vague and do not keep their word. Please note that his inspection work was 75.00. He did perform the inspection. The shower pan job was quoted at 925. And then a week later changed to 1,350. The shower pan job was never performed since he had not filed the permit and would not give an estimated start date. He would not call us to communicate about the job, and the office was inconsistent with the information they gave us.
Description of Work: Mr Privette inspected our shower and determined that there was a shower pan leak. He told me that he could put a new pan in and the job would cost 925.00. I explained that we were short on time. He said that he would file for the permit right away. For the next week, I called his office 4 times to verify that the permit application had been filed. The office said that it probably had been but he would call me that day. After a week of promises that he would call me, he still has never called me. Then after that week, the office person changes the whole story. She said she had an estimate to email me. The estimate in the email was 1,350. with numerous openings to up the price while doing the job. The office person said that the permit was never applied for because they need a deposit first. I would have been glad to pay the deposit if they would have told me to do so. After calling them for a week and being assured that the permit was filed, now I was told it wasn't filed. And the price went up substantially. And he will be out of town for the next week and a half. Their treatment of us has been unprofessional and unacceptable.

+ -1 moreAt first everything was going well, but then we had a few questions for him. He was very stand offish and short tempered, was not very accommodating, and was very angry. He walked off the job and did not finish the plumbing at all. We wanted all copper, and he changed it to plastic without asking us if that was ok. A month later he came over and we asked him to finish the job, he said he would be right back and drove off and never came back. He also did not have the right tools and had to leave several times to go get tools. He had an excuse for everything, and he really left us hanging.
Description of Work: He was in charge of installing the plumbing in our new bathrooms.

Description of Work: I hired Privette Plumbing in Naples, FL, because they could come on short notice ( the next day), and Faye in the office seemed very knowledgeable on the phone and friendly. She called ahead the next day and Mark arrived as arranged. He solved the problem with a toilet, replaced the disposal with a new one he had ready on his truck, and even checked the rest of the toilets for correct operation. He was friendly throughout and left the place as clean as he found it. Today I got a letter of thanks for the business and the offer of ten dollars off on the next job. I'd give them your highest your highest rating.

+ -1 moreThe old water heater stopped working on the Thursday before a long Christmas weekend (Christmas eve was on Monday). The company had been recommended by a friend. We called Friday morning and they came Friday afternoon and replaced the water heater. They arrived on time and were very courteous and knowledgeable. The work was completed in a timely manner and to our complete satisfaction.
Description of Work: Replacement of 40 gallon electric water heater with expansion tank.

+ 0 moreThe company claims to charge $50/hr well below the norm of about $80-90/hr. And, there is a reason in the end, I would estimate you will pay much more than the norm. The way the cost goes up is tack on charges for helpers, equipment, parts, chemicals, supplies, you name it, charging you while they are preparing the invoice etc.; not to mention less capable inexperienced people. Do yourself a favor and run the other way.... pay the higher rate to someone who is straightforward.
