Estimated 6 weeks. It took 6 months. Price increased several times in spite of having an extended telephone conversation that I wanted everything right down to the nails included on the bid before signing contract. Quality of work was very marginal. The list of problems would take up too much space. The most disconcerting fact was that they always seemed to be surprised when we brought problems to their attention. There were many things we didn't notice until they were done and gone. Little things like the two toilet paper holders being installed with the open end in opposite directions. Their painter was terrible. Like a child with a coloring book who can't stay in the lines. I asked, "how can this happen with painters tape"? The response was, "real professionals don't use painters tape". Needless to say, we hired another painter after completion of the job to fix some areas. No matter how many discussions you have had about the details, get a punchlist of every detail of the products and services they are supposed to provide. That may avoid some unpleasant surprises. "Install two bedroom doors" does not necessarily include the doors. "Install GIF outlets" in kitchen (required per code) does not necessarily nclude the outlets. Ultimately, we felt the utmost concern of the contractor was not doing a good job or making us happy. It was to just get the job done with the cheapest materials possible to maximize profit. I have built and/or remodeled several houses. I have never run into problems like this. The add-ons to the contract and materials we had to purchase ourselves, the final price was over 25% high than the bid. Given all that, Jeremy and Mark(?) were both very nice and listened to our frustration. Jacob, the Foreman we first met with and signed the contract with, indicated that he and one other guy would be doing the Lions share of the work. In 6 months, I doubt we saw him more than 3-4 times and he did hardly any of the work. Very disappointing.
