They are local movers. They were okay. Jay was good and the other guy was not. He said he was new. My experience was mediocre best. It was okay. I needed somebody in a rush and the nursing home gave me their number and they were able to come on the day I wanted them and that was good. However, they gave me 3 different time frames. When they made the arrangements, they said they would be there between 2:30 and 3 in the afternoon and then they called me the next day and asked if I could meet them between 9:30 and 10, it was in the morning and I said it was okay. I got ready and I was leaving the house to go meet them and they called and said they wouldn't be there until 11:30, 12:00 and it wasn't good changing the time 3 times. The guy sent 2 fellows over and one fellow was a terrific worker. He was energetic and he knew what he was doing. The other fellow was as slow as molasses. If there were 2 fellows like the good one, they would have been done in a lot less time. One did the bulk of the job and the other one didn't. At the end of the day when they needed to calculate how much I owed them, they didn't have a calculator or anything to figure out the time. It was $65 per hour which was fine. It was 4 hours and 15 minutes. I think it was $265 and change and they were like tumbling idiots as far as trying to figure out the total cost. I figured it out on my cell phone calculator and then I asked them for a written receipt which I had gotten in the past when I've used movers like that, they didn't have a receipt. I called the boss to tell him that I figured out the time and the price, I got voicemail. I tried back and forth and I finally got the boss and explained the situation. His name is Chris. I told him that there was one good worker and one lousy worker and they couldn't even figure the total. The one worker that was not the good worker wanted to charge me the travel time. I asked him what he meant by travel time. I said I'm going to pay from the time they got to the nursing home and packed everything up and put it in the truck and traveled to the storage unit that I wanted put in. He wanted me to pay for the travel time going for the job and I said I don't think I would do that. I explained everything to Chris. One guy just asked me to give them $300 and that experience was not good. I got everything moved okay, but when it came to the time, payment and receipt it was not very professional. I needed somebody in a rush. My dad had passed away and I needed to get his thing moved out as soon as possible and the nursing home gave me their name and said they could probably do it quickly and that's why I used them. It was a desperation thing. Their price was okay. Considering we are in Naples, it wasn't too bad. The one guy was decent. They were not punctual as changing the time was stupid. I would not use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used On Demand Moving to move my dad's things out of the nursing home on the 27th of January. They moved some bedroom furniture, some of the room furniture and some boxes and things like that.
