Description of Work: Kitchen remodeling and master bathroom started very well with design and price with first designer. She got sick and got replaced by another designer who is very respectful and professional but the owner stepped in. Prices got jacked up and quality of materials such as pressed wood instead of plywood for cabinets were installed (to keep my cost down). Needless to say I have already had delamination problems and more to come in the future for me. I refuse to have to call them for repairs. Just don't want to deal with them ever again.

Tom G. my designer spent time with me to discuss the process, the design options and the amount of time the work would take. Everyone directly associated with Naples Kitchen and Bath, their employees, contractors, office support and especially Tom were exceptional to work with. The contractors covered all my floors and walkways; debris was carried and disposed of off site; they left each day with all their tools and materials stacked in an orderly manner. They always informed me what day and time they would be here next. Tom checked in with me on a daily basis to keep me informed of what was going to occur next as well as any minor problems. He was a delight to work with; very honest, straightforward; and a great sense of humor!
Description of Work: Rip out sliding shower doors, walls, tub and all plumbing. Replaced with a walk in shower with porcelain 12" 14" vertical tile; 1" square floor tile to match; corner side seat, Kohler slide bar shower fixture; marble curb, sap dishes and seat top. Frameless glass shower door with unusual pull as opposed to a handle

Management and Supervision were lacking: v Work was not always performed professionally, someof the workers assigned, lacked skill in the work they were directed to performby management. The work had to be re-done, after we complained. The poor work was not corrected due to management review or supervision, but rather ourcomplaints. v When we complained, management asked us to send pictures, rather than management going to the job site to inspect. When, I insisted management come to the job site to inspect, as they should have knowledge of work and could assign staff with the necessary skills to redo the poor quality work; the designer arrived, and took pictures of the poor work, which we were asked to show to the designer. The designer told us, she was asked to come to our home by management. The designer told us, she has no control over materials or staff or subcontractors. This is the reason, I insisted management come to job site. Management’s lack of presence, again demonstrates their unprofessional attitude as to this project. v Owner was not responsive to customer calls. v After my frustration with management, I called to speak with the owner. The owner was not available at 4 pm, so I left a message. In a voice mail message to me, the Owner stated he would be in his office between 8 to 9 am for conference call. I called at 9:15, and was informed the owner had not yet arrived to the office. The Owner called later that morning and left another voice message, stating he was at a job site, (not ours), when I called at 9:15. Another example of the unprofessional management and supervision of Naples Kitchen and Bath on our job. The owner never called again, nor came to our home to review the job. Work was not acceptable nor performed in timely fashion: v Naples Kitchen and Bath workers were pulled from our job both when they were scheduled to be on the job and/ or while they were actually working on the job at our home. v When I complained about this to management; management was not able or willing to commit to whom would be assigned or when the work would be completed. v Do to these on-going issues, we had to cancel and/ or re-schedule our other commitments to be at our home when Naples Kitchen and Bath did have material and workers to finish the job. v Materials were missing in the delivery to the job site (our home). It appears no one from Naples Kitchen and Bath confirmed all materials were delivered, until the installer was not able to locate materials necessary for installation. v Wood and tile dust was in our garage, even though we requested the garage door be closed and the cutting of material be done outside. My wife personally cleaned the garage after Naples Kitchen and Bath left our home. v Concrete and grout debris was left on our property, we had to request, Naples Kitchen and Bath to remove it. My wife send pictures of the debris to Naples Kitchen and Bath. v A new exhaust fan was installed and relocated from the existing location. The new exhaust fan now vents into our attic insulation, rather than venting to the exterior…………. Unacceptable, this is something an unskilled installer does, not professionals. Again this was not managed or supervised by the management of Naples Kitchen and Bath. The subcontractors hired by Naples Kitchen and Bath: v Plumbing - (poor) the plumber’s staff turned the water back on after the plumber’s staff modifications were completed, and all the sheetrock and tile work was completed by Naples Kitchen and Bath. When the water was turned on, a water leak immediately appeared with water spraying from the newly modified bathroom walls and the walls in the adjoining den, to the plumber’s credit, he arrived immediately and accepted full responsible for his staff’s poor work. The plumber brought in a water remediation expert to dry the sheetrock and space between the walls and provide a certificate stating no mold is present and dry conditions exist. The plumber removed sections of dry wall from Den wall adjoining the modified bathroom shower and repaired and painted the wall upon completion of his repairs and the water remediation. The plumber corrected the poor work personally. We never heard from the owner of Naples Kitchen and Bath in regards to this issue. This again required us to cancel our plans and cancel commitments we had, to be present to during the time these repairs and remediation performed. v Electric (average). Due to the relocation of the exhaust fan, the electrician, needed to revise some wiring and a switch. The switch that was modified was part of panel containing 5 switches. The modified switch installed, was half switch and half outlet. This was a poor choice, (i.e. having an electric outlet amongst switches. When I contacted Naples Kitchen and Bath about this, they stated the electrician knows what is required. When, I spoke to the electrician, he agreed, he should have placed the outlet away from the switch panel; the electrician did resolve the issue. v Glass – (outstanding) the subcontractor that measured and installed the shower glass was outstanding. v None of the subcontractor work performed by the subcontractors hired by Naples Kitchen and Bath was supervised, reviewed or approved by management of Naples Kitchen and Bath. Finally after much complaining, repairs to re-do poor work, delays resulting from missing material, rescheduling of workers which required us to cancel and reschedule our personal time and personal commitments, Naples Kitchen and Bath is out of our home.

A couple of minor glitches as with every project. One phone call and the issue was resolved.
Description of Work: Services were a remodeled kitchen powder room. And laundry room . plus an entire wood floor in the kitchen and great room. The designer ,Kristina Jackson expanded the foot print of the kitchen. It went from 4 drawers to 13 drawers a place for everything from serve ware to pots and pans. What Kristina had envisioned for the kitchen was beyond any expectations I had. Always guiding me in the right direction with color schemes. All I can say is Wow, a bit cliche but the space is overwhelmingly beautiful. And it's all because Kristina would collaborate with me on what would be done on each day so there was never a surprise. The master carpenter,Tom Tierny, was a very meticulous man. His work was that of a superb craftsman that no longer exist in this day and age. His helper George was always friendly and cheerful. Both would stop working if I had a question and explain why they certain things were done to my satisfaction. Always on time daily and leaving the residence as neat and tidy as they possibly could. Both very impressionistic as far as courtesy was concerned. The work was completed in 4 weeks and I now am getting things back into their proper place while entertains neighbors that want to see what was done. Each one that has come in could not believe the beauty, craftsmanship and style of my new kitchen, not to mention the built in conveniences tat are now in place. These three made a fabulous team not forgetting to mention Leonard who oversaw the construction. The "wish maker" who was always trying to help me through details. You have all given me a designers kitchen and I thank you. I'm sure with what my neighbors are saying you will all be busy for a long time to come. Thank you

The main reason I used Naples Kithcen and Bath was to get the help from their design team and a professional job. I explained to the designer what I wanted and with difficulty made all my selections. She made some recommendations but I also had ideas of my own. The end product does not achieve the look I hoped for. I am very dissatisfied with this designer. I was told that it would be difficult to do the job for what I wanted to pay which was about $15,000. The final estimate was $18,000 and with problems that occurred during construction it ended up costing over $22,000. I was told I would have to be careful with my selections to keep within the price. So none of the bathroom contains high end products and it looks very standard, not in my mind like a $22,000 job. The work was all done by a man who contracted with them. He did all the tile work, the plumbing and electrical work. He is not a licensed contractor and worked under Naples Kitchen and Bath's license. Some of his work was good quality, other was sub-standard. Working alone, it took 7 weeks to complete the entire job. He was unreliable, missing days and cutting others very short. He was not properly supervised and there were issues during the entire job which was only supposed to take 30 days. I feel like this company must have made a huge profit paying only low hourly wages to the contractor and supplying low-end materials. I addressed my issues to the owner who was never responsive to my needs and desires. At the end, I had to pay someone else to remove a glass tile apron that the designer recommended around the bathtub. It was a bad choice of color and quite unattractive. I paid $400 for the removal by another contractor when Naples Kitchen and Bath wanted to charge $900. And this was to remove tile they had installed and charged me for. I asked for them to do the work at cost and the owner refused. So at the end I feel like I paid much too much money for low quality work and lots of frustration.
Description of Work: I hired Naples Kitchen and Bath to do a total remodel of my master bath. All the plumbing fixtures were replaced, new cabinets installed, lighting updated, and all new tile was installed on the floors and shower walls.

Response from NAPLES KITCHEN & BATH
Naples KB states the following Dan Grahl – Pres. of Naples KB has been in business over 43 years. He has never had a license complaint against his company. The member visited Naples KB in early May 2012. Our kitchen + bath designer – who is a certified NKBA CKD and I spoke with the member about her project, it’s timeframe, and her expectations. (see attached pages) #2 + #3 The tile contractor is licensed in the state of Florida. The member had already started her remodeling process before visiting Naples KB and had removed her shower and water closet. The member had a budget of $15,000 to work upon. I shared that complete project of this nature had a pricing structure of between $25-40,000, but by keeping the existing tub in its present location we could do the project for the high teens. The member agreed with the pricing, made final decisions, and we started the construction process. During demolition, the member made a change to the contract. She wished to mover her tub location and install a new soaking tub which necessitated move drain, water lines, build tub deck, tile deck and front apron of tub. The change took 3 weeks to complete. We issued a change order and all payments where properly made. The member made changes to the selection of glass tile to be applied to the front apron of the tub. She picked a new color and signed the change order. The member also changed the tile pattern in the size of tiles and their configuration. The member also changed her lavatory faucet selection. During the remodel, we at NKB asked the member if she would like to change the installer. Our production supervisor was told by the member she wished to continue with the installer that had started her project. A total of seven payments where made by the member towards the job. The member asked me to visit with her to collect the final payment. I inspected the job and found that the tub skirt was not done to the standards of NKB. I offered to replace the tile, the member chose to accept the tile work but asked for a reduction to her final payment. We agreed and a reduction of $750.00 was made to the final payment. The member then wrote a check for the balance. In conclusion, the member sought the help of an experienced design, install team contracted with the, over say the project – (she was living in the home) and at the end, was unhappy with a tile color choice she made. I believe she used the $750.00 reduction to rectify her tile selection her note to NKB sated she chose another contractor to retile her apron front. Dan Grahl President Naples Kitchen + Bath.

They completely remodeled my bathroom in 2009. The faucet broke a couple weeks ago. I ended up calling this company for them to come out and fix it. Not only did they find the part and replace it for me. They did not charge me for this service at all.
