 + -1 moreWe were in search of a new mattress to replace a 25-year old one. Because this bed is used only 3 months/year we didn't want or need the fanciest one available. Our salesman, Michael, did a good job of helping us determine the degree of firmness we sought and explaining the construction of the various mattresses. He responded quickly when we named our price target and showed us several options in the requested price range. Delivery and set-up was on time and efficient. The bed is very comfortable and we're very satisfied with our purchase; the whole process was quick and painless!

Description of Work: The whole process of finding a new mattress is steeped in ambiguity. The mattress firms do not use basic and comparable terms so it is very difficult to compare apples to apples. The Mattress Firm salesman did his best to inform us but the whole industry is devoted to confusing the shopper.

Description of Work: Helped select 6 mattresses for 4 rooms with quality, value based on usage (daily vs guest usages) Knowledgeable about tradeoffs in firmness, comfort, etc. Provided free mattress covers. Delivery team suggested low frame box spring even though it required an additional delivery. Very good follow through.

Description of Work: We dealt with Scott at this store. It took us two trips to make a decision (because a mattress is such a long term purchase) He was extremely helpful and patient throughout the process. He also wen tout of his way to find us savings where other stores I had gone to were only interested in "up selling". This was something we found to be be very kind. We had them deliver our mattress, which was done that very evening and the delivery guys were very kind as well. They put out a carpet at our front door to catch debris and offered to wear booties over thier shoes. They were quick, efficient, took the old mattress with them AND showed up at the beggingin of thier delivery window! Definetly recommend this store!

 + -1 moreI purchased two top-of-the-line twin beds, at $1000 apiece, for our vacation home, just before Thanksgiving, 2012. The salesman said they didn't have the beds I'd chosen in stock; they had to be ordered and wouldn't arrive until a week later. I was not going to be at our vacation home until sometime in December and would call to have the beds delivered then. As it turns out, I was only at our vacation home on the weekend of Christmas, with no time for the beds to be delivered. In the meantime, I never heard anything from Mattress Firm for those two months, although they kept my money. On Wed. Jan. 16, 2013, I called Mattress Firm to ask for the beds to be delivered on Fri. Jan. 18. The same salesman who sold me the beds said my beds were no longer in the warehouse, since I hadn't called for them to be delivered in December. The beds would have to be re-ordered and not available to be delivered until a week later, when I didn't plan to be at my vacation home. The salesman sold MY mattresses that I had already PAID FOR, and then told me it was my fault for not having them delivered in December. He didn't offer any apology or accommodation, such as a discount on the re-ordered mattresses.
