Larry responded immediately to my 1st phone call at set time to arrive...he arrived at appointed time, scoped out the project, gave me a quote...set up same day appt. to complete. purchased necessary hardware for project and satisfactory completion of project on same day...recommend highly.

He was cleaning up on his last job for the day before heading home. Came straight over; saw what I wanted and went right to work on it. Because of the framing it took a little forethought, but the job was performed to our satisfaction. He is a true handyman and we would highly recommend him.

SELECTION PROCESS Larry’s Handyman Maintenance Services came up when I searched for Flat screen TV mounting in Naples, FL. Larry is Angie’s List Certified and received a Super Service Award. He also had 16 reviews posted – 14 A-rated and 2 B-rated. I requested a quote through Angies List and within 2 hours had a callback from Larry. I explained to Larry the work I needed done, and he told me the labor cost involved and had two mounting brackets in stock that would be just what I needed. In addition to a great price, he said that he was available to perform the job the next morning. His low price and immediate availability on top of his excellent rating on Angie’s List made my selection of Larry for the job a no-brainer. RESPONSIVENESS & PUNCTUALITY Larry did a good job of communicating in a timely fashion via text message. On installation day Larry and his assistant showed up right on the dot of our agreed upon time. QUALITY Larry fell way short of reasonable expectations in this measurement. Here is a list of some of the quality issues in our installation: • Neither TV mounting was securely fastened to the wall • The mounting for the 55 inch TV was not level [see photo A & B] • He had trouble finding the studs in the living room wall as the electrical plug was not securely fastened [see photo D] and there were multiple holes in the wall [see photo C] • The lead from the wall plug in the Guest BR was re-covered at an angle [see photo E] • The first time I put the light switch on after he installed the electrical box in the guest BR, there was a flash and the circuit breaker was tripped. After the circuit breaker tripped, I was concerned about safety and asked Larry to remove the wiring from the electrical box and to clean up the project as quickly as possible. PROFESSIONALISM Larry and his assistant were very courteous and he did honor the pricing quoted to me during our first conversation. However, as with the quality issues above, there were several items that warrant noting. • No drop cloths were used at anytime - tools were placed on our carpet and area rugs • Empty boxes containing the mountings and other consumables used were left on the counter • No itemized bill or receipt of payment was ever presented • An attempt was made by Larry to clean up the multiple hand prints made on our freshly painted walls, but it was still a mess. OVERALL It is very difficult to assign a passing grade for this service when I had to spend an additional $500 to have the Geek Squad do the things I asked Larry to do – secure the mounting securely to the wall studs, hide the wires, and most importantly make sure the TV was level. The bottom line: Larry’s Handyman Maintenance Services was clearly over-matched in this project.

Larry's Handyman Maintenance Service did an efficient, highly competent, and cost-effective job of replacing a broken pocket door with a new folding door in a closet. I was impressed with the firm's integrity, customer service, and positive attitude. I would hire the firm again for repair or maintenance work at our condo.

Larry was professional and did a great job

Larry had the old safe replaced with the new safe in less than 1 hour. He was very thoughtful in regards to our four-legged patients by making sure to keep noise levels down while using a power tool. We are planning to use him for future projects needing a handyman.

Larry did a great job under difficult circumstances. The replacement stairway was larger than the original although the specs o each were the same. Larry exhibited patience and got the job done.
