For a week we had 5 family members visiting from New England, so our pool was being used much more than normal, with a lot of splashing, getting in & out, etc., and we were having to add water frequently but attributed it to the amount of usage. However, after our visitors left, the need to add water seemed to actually increase. I had no idea of where to turn to address the problem. I finally called my pool-service company, and they recommended that I call Hunter. By this time, it was only four days until we were going to be out of town due to a serious illness of a sister in Tenn. The lady at Hunter altered her technicians' work plans so they could check my pool the day before we were to leave. The two technicians brought several special gadgets and a lot of expertise. They apparently had a routine, with each working/checking at each end of the pool; but cooperating whenever one had to go underwater to inspect the various recirculating ports, etc. in the pool wall. They told me that they might have to return two more times, if their dye-checks did not pinpoint a specific leak spot. I called the Hunter dispatcher and retold her about our having to leave town and offering to prepay part of the charge; but she said that that was not necessary ... rather they would proceed to do whatever was needed to fix the leak, and would send an invoice afterward!! Afterward, I learned that they, in fact, had to return twice. When the bill came, I held my breath when I opened it;; and was astounded that they mcharged only $115. If you have a pool, this company's phone number should be in your file.
