Gulf Coast Roofing was knowledgeable and competent. They started the job when they said they would and completed the job quickly and efficiently. Our old roof was removed in just a day. They used the latest in roofing equipment. They covered and protected our driveway and lanai. Each day they left the job area spotless. They answered all our questions and were professional in every way. We did have an issue with one of the salesmen who was rude to us, but the owners addressed the matter satisfactorily. I definitely would recommend them.

Responded quickly but were slow in getting job completed but this was during days of much rain, so I'm sure they we're swamped with calls.

I had eight quotes for the job. I also researched the different ways a roof was installed and looked up regulations for this area. Gulf Coast was not the cheapest or the highest, but they did convince me that they were the best for the job...and, they were. Once the contract was signed they didn't neglect me (as I have heard that others do), work was done on time, workers were clean and neat. No bad language or super loud music. My plants were not crushed and my home was not damaged in anyway.

The service and quality were excellent! They exceeded our expectations. We researched over 6 local roofers to tear off and replace our old tile roof. After receiving multiple quotes and recommendations we went with Kevin at Gulf Coast Roofing. He was easy to work with, returned my calls promptly, answered my questions (even the stupid ones), and made great suggestions that supported our lifestyle and our budget. I was wowed when the crew came out promptly to tear off the old tile. Unlike the other roofing contractors in the neighborhood, they completely covered my driveway to prevent cracking and placed boards over every window and tarp all around the house to protect my plants and catch nails and materials. I've seen other roofers in the neighborhood ignore these steps and only cover the garage where the debris was being removed. I was really impressed! My neighbor had a dumpster in her drive for a week. Gulf Coast brought their truck in and it was gone the same day. They also cleaned everything up at the end of the day. It looked like no one was even there! Their roofing team skillfully made several repairs to the roofing underlayment and rebuilt a few areas with wood rot. They were courteous and efficient. The tile goes on next week. I can't wait.

My neighbor had problems with them. I would probably look for someone else. You could try and see how it goes with them. I was ok with them. They did a good job, but their were some issues with them. They haven't finished the gutters, they were leaking.

There were two techinicians, Miguel and Gustafo. They were very professional and explained everything they were doing. They finished the job pretty fast. I appreciate them cleaning up after they finished. I would use them again and recommend them.

After an in-depth review/investigation (5 companies) we selected Gulf Coast because of the following reasons: 1. They were very responsive on all of our questions 2. Their scope of work of very detailed 3. They were the only roofer that did forming instead of nailing of the tiles 4. Their pricing was in line with the other roofers even though forming is much more expensive 5. Their workers were experienced (many worked for Gulf Coast 10+ or more years) 6. They had lots of Angie reviews and all were very positive. The others has few reviews and half were not good. 7. We had some problems with the tile manufacturer (Entegra), however Gulf Coast went above and beyond to make-up for the manufacturer's problems. 8. Lastly, the salesperson (Mark Thornton) was excellent. Very experienced (30 years with Gulf Coast) and really knew his stuff.

They were good. It was a little on the high end but out of 3 bids they were in the middle.

Best service by a roofer ever. Called for an estimate, emailed my architectual plans and got an estimate within a couple of days. They were among the top three on Angie's List, they were fast, easy to work with, quality service and the best price by a long shot. The new roof was framed on a Sunday, Monday was a Holiday and Tuesday it was supposed to rain in the evening. I had to get paper installed to avoid my new roof from getting wet on the inside. I called Gulf Coast Roofing on Tuesday morning requesting that they paper the roof asap and by that afternoon they had a crew papering my roof. That evening it rained but there were no leaks and everything was dry inside. That is service! Thank you Gulf Coast Roofing!

It was terrific. I was previously quoted by another company that I would need to pay over a thousand dollars for repairs. Gulf Coast came out, and the gentleman said there was nothing wrong with my roof. A big thank you to him. He's an honorable person.

I would give them an A plus for their work.

The old tile roof was removed; new tile roof with upgraded underlayment/membrane was installed with a combination of screws and adhesive. They also made improvements so the roof would meet all wind mitigation codes, causing a decrease in our insurance premiums. All work was completed in a respectful, effecient manner. The work site was also kept clean as the project progressed. When the job was complete, our yard and landscaping was all intact and we have only found (by accident) one lonely screw underneath a shrub in the bark mulch! Everything else was expertly cleaned up. Great job, great crew, great result. Would recommend them without hesitation.

The rep., was on time for the quote. Very honest first impression from the rep. The price wasn't cheap high but the end result is just a NO contest - an EXCELLENT job. Contract was signed in end November beginning December - Work began last week of January as quoted on contract. Fist day lumber and wood were delivered Next day roof was stripped, repaired and underlayment was installed. We opted for the best underlayment in order to get the full WIND MITIGATION credit Then waited 2 weeks for the tiles to be delivered and installed within that last week. Last day they sealed all opening with a special putty, painted all vents to match tiles. In all just an EXCELLENT job - no regrets - Highly recommended

No estimate was done - suggested I call a different roofer.

The replacement measured 10x30 feet and required the old roofing material removed and a new replacement. After considering several other "roofers" we settled on Gulf Coast Roofing. Reasons: --professionalism for the "get-go." --responsiveness to all questions with details clearly explained. --kept us informed as to scheduling date etc. --arrived when they said they would, with plenty of help. --no wasted time by their employees--went to work and everyone seemed to know their jobs without having to be told --clean-up was exemplary -- better than when they started.

They fixed a roof leak. Showed up on time, were professional and did a good job. I would definitely use them again.

Did not sign contract. Was about 3k more than Roof Smart proposal. No complaints but you would be paying more than you need to.

I called for a quote and it took 2 weeks to talk to someone. They promised to have someone come out and no one ever did. I had to get another contractor to do the work.

They were able to give me an estimate by looking at the houses on Google maps so that I did not have to be home and schedule an appointment for it. That worked out just fine. Everything turned out very well! They have excellent communication skills and their workmanship was very good. They were prompt, on time, and did the work exactly as requested.

On a scale of 10 it was 10! I know roofers this is my informed recommendation.

As noted in the above box, precisely nothing and that is why this review is being written.

We contracted to replace our Skylight Dome 8/19/10 because it was leaking. REF: Roof Repairs At Tubular Skylight I. Remove existing tile and tubular skylight dome. 2. Install new tubular skylight dome. 3. Strip in tubular skylight with granulated modified tile underlayment. 4. Install salvaged and new roof tile. *** *** We noticed from the ground a few weeks ago that the plastic dome was cracked in several places and needed to be replaced as soon as possible because it is hurricane season now. We called to inquire if the Dome had any warranty left and requested an inspection and cost estimate of the needed repairs. We were advised that the warranty had expired and that it did need to be replaced. We were informed of the cost to replace it, the labor charge, and the estimated date of repair. Unfortunately it has taken them five weeks to make the repairs all blamed on the weather.

When I contacted this company, one of the staff member came to my house and explained everything to us, in writing. On the first day of their job they arrived on time and began to work very diligently, this behavior continued the entire time they worked on my roof. They worked very quickly, the job only took 2 days. They also cleaned up when they were finished with their job. When I called them again to change my skylight, they also worked very quickly and I was very satisfied with their work and service.

With the exception of the small piece of flapping plastic that was left on the roof, the job was well done.

The experience was good. We liked their personality and the price.
